    I highly recommend a green bean teepee. They take far less space than bush beans. I also find them easier to pick because you can pick them standing up. Also the teepee adds visual interest to the garden.

    Sometimes my farmer friend takes his family camping in July and August. I get to take care of the place alone. Free-range eggs, fresh peppers, beans, peas, beets, carrots, cabbage, lettuce ... and a frozen local peameal ham or two. Let's not forget the fridge full of iced tea and local beer for evening shandies. Maybe see two cars a day. Peace and solitude.

    I have raccoons….. so destructive. With your trellises, have you thought about a climbing rose strategically to aid in privacy? The right variety would smell so lovely, and if you plant a variety that has hips, you can have rose hips for tea!

      Yeah, I stopped growing tomatoes on them because they kept developing some mystery disease and dying, but the ones growing in the wire cages I have are fine. It stinks because they're great for vertical growing. Maybe an outdoor waterproof paint on it could help.

Is there anyway when you film these first person videos would you mind moving the camera a little more slowly/not jump from frames so quickly? It is a little motion-sicknessy to watch. However if it take more effort/time to produce and edit I totally understand. Just wanted to ask. Thanks!

    Beautiful garden and a beautiful gal. My word you're stunning. 😳
    It's far too blasted hot here for what you've got going on. I'm right at the edge of 7b/8a in Georgia and even heat loving plants are weeping for mercy. Weird year. We had the coldest winter lows in decades, and now we're pushing 100 degrees almost daily.
    I really like that strawberry planter. My chickens keep getting to mine. Guess I've got yet another project.
    I need to grow more paprika as well. I tried a variety from Baker Creek last year called Leutschauer with limited success. It's worth giving another shot because I'm sick of buying paprika.

    Hi Bre. The loofahs are edible where I lived in. Just pick the young ones, peel the skin slightly..saute some garlic and plenty of water and add your loofahs, let it cook until soft, add some glass noodle or shrimp for some protein. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve with plain rice and stir-fry protein of your choice as side...

    The night shade family requires you to rotate their bed every so often. So if you been planting peppers ,tomatoes ,or sweet potatoes in the same spot for a few seasons. You’ll want to put them in a new place and plant something from an entirely different family in their old spot.

    We are growing the same variety for paprika, how much did you plant last year and what was the end result (weight)?? I have 4 plants this year and are behind you (Ohio 6a). We had a cold May/June so that may be our issue.

    • @itsbreellis
      @itsbreellis  Год назад +1

      I have no idea what the end weight was unfortunately. I should get better about tracking all that. I believe I ended with more then a pints worth and had somewhere between 8-9 plants I believe. So pretty close to the same amount as this year.
