I'm in Kansas too and I am so inspired watching your garden. Mine has left me so discouraged the last few years because the sun has just roasted it in July.

I can't get enough of your channel. I just discovered it today & although i struggle to find time i have always wanted to live a similar lifestyle to you. I see tons of others on social media documenting their similar lives but every last one of them is religious. & although my family & i are devoutly religious i don't seek out this type of content to be preached to.
Keep up the good work. 😊

blueberries are recommended to be planted in groups of at least 3 different varieties to maximise pollination and yield :)

Wow!! Your peppers look great! Jalapeño peppers need alot of heat. So if they are behind anything, that may be their issue. Mine are doing great this year....last year they shared space with potatoes and they did not grow! I have 7 blueberries this year and they are producing beautiful leaves. They need berry specific fertilizer. Fingers crossed that and the pine needles should help!
    Your onions are beautiful!
It looks like your garden is easily about about a month ahead of ours. We got the Heat of Summer right off winter....we had a week worth of Spring , cooler and rainy, only after 2 weeks of Summer Heat.
This Fall, when I plant out hardeneck garlic, I will pre-plant peas as well. Fingers crossed, I will know which garden to put peas in. ❤

Thank you so much! The issue with my jalapenos was germination, and rollie pollies eating small seedlings I believe. Idk why it was only the jalapenos out of all the varieties I grow but you win some you lose some! Always so interesting to see how the weather changes and affects things from year to year as well! Hope you have a great season! Love that idea for peas!

For the blueberries before you go and get several of them just get two because while they are self pollinating if they have another bush to pollinate with then they will more than quadruple in harvest

You lost tomato blossoms ladt year because tomatoes wont set fruit if it's too hot. Try shaking your tomatoes in the evening when it gets hot outside. It helps with tomatoe pollination and you'll get more continuous tomato harvest.

My blueberry plant is like, 1-2 years old and has so many clusters of berries forming rn. I bought it as a 6 inch baby and it's in a pot smaller than yours. I use a liquid ericaceous plant feed, maybe it will help?

Your garden looks great, but are you sure it's crabgrass you're dealing with? It's probably more likely Bermuda grass that spreads by rhizomes under the ground. I'm fighting that in my garden

9:00 if you like blueberries you'll definitely like honeyberries (if you don't have them yet), taste-wise they're as good as blueberries or better, but, and this is key for me, don't require acidic soil (and grow taller). One should plant side by side 2-4 plants (of different varieties) to get proper pollination.
