Hey everyone! Back with another devblog review and today we are taking a look at the latest and greatest #23! This devblog is PACKED with awesome stuff and I encourage everyone to go and check it out for themselves for the full list of updates here: store.steampow... I am extremely excited for all the new parts, locations, outfits, and other updates that we can expect from the game based on this information and I hope you are as well! It also appears that we can expect a challenge mode update in May! Let me know what you think about the teased turret seat, sawbot, underground locations, multi-component kits, ore collector and crusher, trashbot, mining outfit, and the lag optimization! Ok....I think that should be good for SEO LOL.

About Scrap Mechanic:
Scrap Mechanic is an all-new creative multiplayer sandbox game which drops you right into a world where you quite literally engineer your own adventures! Choose from the 100+ building parts you have at your disposal and create anything from crazy transforming vehicles to a house that moves. You’re even able to team up with your friends to create amazing things together: in Scrap Mechanic, you’re the master creator of anything you can imagine!
Here’s the deal: you’re a robot maintenance mechanic en route to your posting on a fully-automated agriculture planet. Your job is to take care of the worker robots as they work the land, sending the food they produce to the metropolitan planets. Thing is, close to touchdown your spacecraft loses control and crashes, but since you’ve got luck on your side (erm…), you survive! You’re stranded though, and at first glance you find that not everything’s quite as it should be. The Farmbots working the fields have gone crazy, and now there’s only one way to stay alive: using your quick thinking, your creativity and your wily knack of turning your surroundings to your advantage.
So excited for the update! One thing I've always wanted was a paintball gun. It could do less damage than a spud gun, but paints blocks and maybe even bots. And there could be a mountable paint gun for creations.

With the addition of modded tools coming soon, I feel like we might see some sort of portal gun or gravity gun eventually

Unfortunately, it sounds like it's a complete rework of the modding API (just based on the devlog), so it might break older mods. I hope it won't, but for an update as massive as this, it's a posibility.
Gravity gun already exist in fant mod
Plot twist: "We can't go to much in to what they are" is actually code for "We built these really awesome structures, but really don't know what to do with them yet."

Also, yet another small studio that only releases content when it's actually ready for release.
Unlike EA/Maxis that just tossed out a pack that is near completely broken. . .
Loving these dev logs because they’re hyping me up so much for this chapter 2 thing and I can’t wait for the release. It’s also nice to know they are taking their time with this and not rushing it and making a bad update

What would be cool is if the underground thing gives you ship parts to repair the ship and then you use the ship to fly to another planet that has harder enemies and it’s like a more challenging environment where more enemies spawn than usual
Mouse-controlled seat? Nice, no more weird number key controls in survival!
Also that new camera tool sounds intriguing. That 'camera spline tool' that we have now is not the most user-friendly thing.
Also also, nice new profile pic. Supports Ukraine while being subtle and fitting your usual in-game colors as well.
The turret seat is all I've wanted since I started playing!

Just Gonna Say ON The SM Reddit I Guessed What The Teaser Was (The Turret Seat) I Guessed It Would Work Similar To The Seats Inside Of Those Balls From Jurassic Park How It Only Stays On One Axis Which I Was Kinda Right About How It Could Move
Note that the seat is camera control turret an drive normally but with a built-in turret edit: scrapman thought of the dog fight using the seat but u may need to ppl one control the plane and one control the turret and the balls are the challenge mod ball just smaller and where u said the jumping thingymabob it's just the trigger pad same as the challenge mode but smaller
Think to get the sticky wheels you're gonna have to defeat the trash pot cause you see the animation from the trash Box shooting goop at you that looks exactly like the stuff that's gonna be on this sticky goopy wheel

We have also been teased goop containers, so who knows how the goop is actually produced. I assume it will be a craftable item as well

Now that what i like see in devs. rather than push it out. they make sure its going to be good. and instead gives different update. to play around with while we wait
just a guess but i think you will need to kill the new trash bot to get parts for the new wheels.

I think if there was a working headlamp and sticky boots, they wouldn't be part of an outfit. Outfits are more aesthetic.
I feel like wedges will be a completely separate dragable block.
