Red Bear is the only skin in the whole game that I care about, and I do have one. Thanks to you, as you gave away one, which was won by someone who then gifted it to me. I don't want to sound like I'd throw it away. But if I could get a strange factory new Red Bear. I'd happily take that in a heart beat. Other skins, do look great. But that's the only one I truly love in TF2.

The weirdest thing about anything considered “collectible” is that you end up with people who actually want to have the things and people who just want to make money from trading them. Without the former, the latter wouldn’t exist at all. For me, I don’t really care for stranges (because I don’t play enough to care about the stats) or prof. KS weapons (because the eye effects look ridiculous, can draw too much attention, and can’t even be seen by the wielder). I just go for non-strange spec. KS weapons because the sheen is nice and the prices are cheap. My current favorite is a Factory New Lighting Rod Shotgun with spec. KS Daffodil Yellow because it looks like a NERF gun (and I changed the name and description to match lol).
Too late to "Save and Preserve" the game's art style. Once meet the pyro dropped Valve stopped caring. I really like the newer bubbly hats like the Balloonihoodie and the Lucky Cat Hat. If you like all the old stuff just play Team Fortress 2 Classic and quit TF2
Absolutely amazing dedication to skins (and now preserving them.) I'll always regret never getting into skins more when the campaigns were running, the only one I have is a factory new high rollers rocket launcher I got for £1.50 during tough break and treasure dearly because it really is an amazing skin. And just because I'm curious, would you ever want Valve to rerun the Gun Mettle/Tough Break campaigns or add some other way to get these older skins?

Hey man, I don't know if you watch cinemassacre's avgn series, but the whole premace of tf2 inventories reminds me of a scene in one of the episodes about the super rare gold and gray test Nintendo world championships cartridges in which both the angry videogame nerd and Pat both posses a copy of each individually, and they have a thought sequence of what they would do if either one had both, it's shows pat winning an "award" for the best Nintendo collection, and svgn just proudly displaying them both in clear plastic cases on the shelf satisfied. This really shows two sides of collecting items, whether it be digital or physical. One party wants to have notoriety for having the best, or largest collection of items, while the other just thinks it looks nice to have. Both are proud of their achievements and, that's good! Both sides just need to remember to be wary with what lengths they go to achieve their goal.
There's one wrench and three grenade launchers in SFN. You know who owns one of the grenades, Cos owns the other two, and Dacob made and still owns the one wrench
Thought about buying a strange FN barn burner myself, since frankly all the other wears look kinda horrible and I wanted to get a strange flame thrower that actually looked good. Hell, half of an aussie flame thrower's price is in the pro ks kit (and I'm not a fan of that aussie in the first place). But after some digging, there's barely strange FN barn burners in existence! Some wacko bought one for like 500 bucks on the SCM, though the highest buy order rn is ~125 keys. Maybe one day I'll have that fuck-you kinda money to blow on a flame thrower, but for now I'll just keep my strange counters on a modest, basic killstreak strange flame thrower lol. Why not spend money on skins 'n' shit when it's enjoyable? Even if it's a bit... extreme in the case of these ginormous collections, at the end of the day you can still hypothetically cash out.
