    Hi all,
    As I mentioned in my latest Community post I will be re-publishing a handful of videos over the next few weeks, which I originally removed last year as I was not happy with the quality of them. However, there has been such a high demand to have them back on the Channel that I have decided to reinstate them; this video being one of them.
    Thank you all for your continued support on the Channel,

    The Polish are a people who no matter what history has thrown at them, have always maintained their identity even when facing opponents that wanted to eradicate them. The Ottomans couldn't destroy them, the Russians couldn't destroy them, the Germans couldn't destroy them. I imagine that long after man has gone to the wind, and the expanding Sun has consumed the barren husk of Earth, Poland will still find a way to continue to exist.

    • @jannegrey
      @jannegrey 3 года назад +22

      @@stevo3883 While very professional JWK is at least perceived as the least "special" units under Special Operations in Poland. Because they often work in open agreement with local government and their work is usually described as "Training/Supervision".
      Not to take anyway from them - it's just that it's more "politically correct" to explain that we sent Commando's to train rather than a unit that has almost mythical perception.
      And of course one of the perks of being in GROM or some other SOF units is that you're in a different official unit. So those guys could technically be both. Just easier to swallow politically.

    My late grandfather was shot in the leg and taken POW in WWII, the bullets stayed in for decades; finally in the early 2000’s something dislodged and went wrong and his leg had to be amputated owing to gangrene or some such - his stumps were carefully massaged daily and washed by a Polish gentleman who worked at his care home in Wales.
    We often thanked the Polish man profusely, who had limited English, but every time he was thanked, he simply gestured toward my grandfather’s WWII medals on the wall.

    The Polish keep coming up with surprises. They might have been taken by surprise initially by the Nazi's in WWII but they gave them a monster headache round some cities. Then there is the Free Polish Navy. Which somehow managed to get enough crew and even a couple of submarines to England and Scotland to have a small navy all of their own (though they mainly worked with the RN). Some of the combined after action reports are mind boggling. Then of course there were the Polish in the RAF. 80% of "Mushroom" operations had Polish pilots. In the Battle of Britain at points the biggest problem with them was getting them to land and re-arm and re-fuel instead of just ramming the bombers. I cant remember who said it but it was something approximating "Compared to the Polish what we have for the Nazi's is a mild dislike".

      No one will be sending SF to fight Wagner PMC. As proud as I am out of my country's SF they dont do regular fights. They are search and rescue or kill teams. Go in, do your job, go out. Now with a dedicated SF airlift unit they are self sufficient.

      its been delta force for the last 20 yrs, proofs in the pudding and there puddings all over the place. TTP's, gear, improved infill and exfil methods and implementations, every western tier 1 unit including SAS/SBS/SRR come here to cross train and learn from delta annually, most hostage rescue's, most direct action raids, most HVT and HVI missions conducted, most amount of sensitive intel gathered around the world for the GWOT and enemy super powers, etc... SAS/SBS are no doubt absolute legends but to say there the clear and obvious best in the world is just not the case anymore and thats ok cause they were the best in the world for 60 yrs. put it this way if delta's a 99.9 cause no ones perfect but god, then SAS are a 99.89. then SBS and ST6 are 99.88. not trying to fight or argue im just stating the facts for the last 20 yrs.

    My good friend was an American former SEAL intel analyst who was a contractor attached to the JWK as their intel and guy who could get the drones.
    Well anyways they were based at ghazni at a smaller base and got hit with a bunch of suicide bombers. They were all killed or blew themselves up, but managed to kill some American SF sadly.
    only later he showed me the pics of those guys, and man, even though the suicide vests made their heads pop off and fly away, the pole SF made sure they were super duper dead just in case.
    Later on on a mission, he was outside a compound when one of their most popular operators came out the front door after searching the interior, and suddenly the entire building exploded from an entire building IED. The polish JWK was apparently very loved and it hit the unit and even the country pretty hard.
    My friend saw him smile then just explode. Afghanistan is hell
