I don't really care what the tracks are, But Toad's Factory NEEDS to be in it. If Toad's Factory is NOT in it we RIOT. Also I'd love to see DS Rainbow Road! My favorite Rainbow Road and I really want it to make a return! (Also I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought it looked like Radiator Springs XD)
Toad's Factory is going to be a showcase track I reckon!

My retro selection has 6 base game cups instead of 4. I distributed it like this

I also chose three second-time retros; one from DS, one from Wii and one from 7.

I think Nintendo does care about completing themes/retros, but the BCP proves they're in no rush.

Here's some retro predictions I picked and I would try to pick whatever hasn't been picked from Mushroom to Special Cup based on the past Mario Kart Games. Heres mine
Shell Cup
DS Figure 8 Circuit (I mean come on, we did get DS Mario Circuit but it was bound to happen since not a single DS Circuit was ever remade until BCP and Tour back in 2023!)
3DS Daisy Hills (this is the only one I could think off even though I actually haven't played Mario Kart 7 for a while)
Tour Piranha Pipeline (this NEEDS to come in! Why was this just thrown out into a waste bin?!)
Wii Toad's Factory (last track of Wii Mushroom Cup that has been ASKED to come in and I want to see the justice here!)
Banana Cup
Wii Mario Circuit (most Flower Cups started Mario Circuits except for SNES & N64. Mario Circuit was the LAST Flower Cup track in Mario Kart 64)
Wii U Toad Harbour
SNES Donut Plains 2 but with more suprises if possible
3DS Wuhu Loop
Leaf Cup
N64 Wario Stadium

(For SNES Battle Course 2 and 4, I would love to see how they would handle the 2 underrated water battle courses. I know MKSC Battle is SEVERELY UNDERPLAYED due to link cabled being limited to play but with NSO, that made it possible. Also please Nintendo, DON'T BUTCHER the music with GBA Battle Course 4 since Yoshi Desert should come. If they butcher the music like how they did with 3DS Wuhu Town, I am going to SCREAM! I will get there at some point)

3DS Honeybee Hive (I was excited to play Wuhu Town but I was HEAVILY DISAPPOINTED with the INCORRECT MUSIC and environment with the day instead of night. I know this is a nickpick but still!! I'm STILL PISSED OFF with how Nintendo butchered Sky Garden in the Booster Course Pass more than I am with Sunset Wilds!!! I hope the 3DS Battle Course remix isn't going to flop like "GBA" Sky Garden and Sunset Wilds)

Actually very reasonable and objective predictions for the most part, like it feels very Nintendo-esque, rather than personal picks. Props to believing we're only getting 16 base retros too - the perfect amount imo. I went down a similar objective route with my predictions; I'll answer any questions or comments on these.

Probably further DLC, I can see them all coming back eventually but we need to go easy on the amount of desert tracks as they have to fill a quota!

Agree with most of this list. But dry dry ruins over yoshi desert, if anything nintendo is a mario kart wii glazer, i'd actually put mario kart stadium over figure 8 circuit since it is more interesting by a ton. Also i know airship fortress has already been remade but they could do it again, and mt wario beats out electrodrome, its arguably mk8's iconic track.
Nintendo is a HUGE Wii glazer but surely Yoshi Desert has been snubbed enough!!
No please no!! 32 tracks are outdated!! We need more content since the start 48 or even 64 courses!! The next mk needs to change a lot or won't sell like 8DX!!
I reckon it starts with 32 and every two months we get 16 more, until we end up with a good number!
