    I had a desktop computer 20 years ago. Lived with laptops all this time. The video did not notice that sata and molex are plugged into the fan and rgb controller. I also couldn't see a direct example of how to plug in the amd gpu in the video, but I understand that it could be as simple as plugging in everything else :). Thank you for the work done! I love it!(Sorry translate ;/

    Just to answer my own question, after doing a lot of research and speaking with two other RUclipsrs that created recent videos on the newer PSU units. This and most 3.0 ATX and 5.0 pcie support units come with two cables that connect to the new 12v (16 pin) connector. One is for Nvidia GPUs that go 16 pin to 16 pin directly. The second, is a 16 pin to a branch of two 8 pin (6+2 pin) cables for standard cards. Again, these are not the pigtailed/daisy chained 8 pin pcie cables but the counter part to the 16 pin to 16 pin for Nvidia cards. This cable is able to pump the same amount of wattage to standard GPU connections as it does new Nvidia cards, so it's recommended. It also only requires one connection to the PSU, rather than having to connect two pcie 8 pin cables.
    This is a great PSU btw. It's quiet, comes with all the most modern features and cables, and delivers all the wattage it advertises out of the box brand new. In the future I'd like to see power supply reviews do a complete breakdown of every cable that comes with it and how it should be connected. It's important. Otherwise good video.

    • @bizbarley74
      @bizbarley74 4 месяца назад +1

      @@TheProvokedPrawn interesting I'm looking at the box right now. Mag A850G PCIE 5. It's missing the "L." That's weird, they look identical. Either way it provides information to future units. I've gone through dozens of power supplies in my lifetime and this is the first time I've ever seen that cable. Hopefully it helps someone. Class video!

    From my RX 7800 XT. This PSU included two of the new 12v cables. One was for Nvidia GPUs like you demonstrated well. However, the other connected to the same port in the PSU but then split into two separate (not the pigtailed pcie 8 pin) pcie 6+2 pin connectors. I seem to be having issues verifying this, but I believe that cable is all you need for AMD cards. Again I'm not talking about using the pigtailed pcie 8 pin connectors, I'm talking about a 16 pin connector that plugs into the 12v port and branches to two separate 6+2 pin GPU connectors. You seem to know this PSU well. Can you verify using that cable (I'm new to these new units) is correct and safe for normal GPUs that require two 8 pin (6+2) cables? I can't imagine why else they would include this cable otherwise, but I wanted to double check. Thanks for the class video mate.

    • @betahunter027
      @betahunter027 19 дней назад

      @Grifjaguar yup, basically the connector isn't a single 8-pin. It's two 4-pins that are clipped together, and you can separate them.
      One end of the connector cable has a single 8-pin (that goes into the power supply), and the other end has two 4-pins clipped together to form an 8-pin.
      I bought the power supply and installed it, and it works perfectly fine.
