hi everyone, thanks for watching! As pointed out to me so kindly by a viewer, the tea monk in the monk + robot books is actually non-binary and uses they/them pronouns. The robot uses it pronouns as it is an object- this is also discussed in the book in a lovely way and is a part of the wonderful story. It somehow completely slipped my mind, hence why I'm correcting it here 📖💫
I’m reading The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches and it’s sooo lovely, don’t know if it completely falls into the cozy fantasy genre but it does have tons of magic and cozy feelings! highly recommend 🔮💜
I LOVE In the Company of Witches! 🥰 The author is also currently fighting breast cancer so it‘s amazing that more and more people are reading her books and support her 💝
Love the T. Kingfisher shout out as I also quickly became a huge fan of her fantasies. Sword heart has become one of my favorite books and the Saint of Steel trilogy by the same author is much along the same vein with romance and some murder solving on the side
Okay, you've just convinced me to pick up Legends and Lattes the next time I'm at the bookstore! Also, I just finished reading Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik... It's basically a retelling of Rumpelstiltskin and definitely falls into cozy, winter fantasy. Absolutely loved it!
I heard that “can’t spell treason without tea” actually has a lot action and most of the story doesn’t take place in the bookstore. I think it still can be good but don’t expect something like legends & lattes. Listening to cute ambience is such a good way to experience the book I love doing it and you are so right that everybody should try it ❤ End for me perfect cozy fantasy is House in the Cerulean sea it’s became my favorite book and legends and lattes (currently reading)
Hi - you are exactly right about " Can't Spell Treason Without Tea". It was action packed and most of it took place outside of the bookshop + the characters were always in danger. It definitely didn't have the cozy vibe I was looking for.
In the company of witches is my absolute favorite. It surprised me how much heart and coziness is written in the pages! The second book is even better and had me in tears! The way she ends the second book, I PRAY she releases a third! ❤❤❤
I listened to 'Swordheart' and 'Nettle and Bone', as well as the Paladin Series and several others. I LOVE THEM ALL!!! Swordheart' was sooo sweet!! ❤️❤️ My favorite was 'The Hollow Places'. T. Kingfisher is officially my favorite author! At least for the moment!
The Chrestomancy series is really good! It's true, every book follows different characters, but they are all link through Chrestomancy. I think my favourite is the second one: "The lives of Christopher Chant", or maybe the third, "The magicians of Caprona". Anyways, anything by Diana Wynne Jones is great, she was just great.
Anything by T. Kingfisher is a treat! And I am obsessed with Can't Spell Treason without the Tea, gives you the same vibes as Legends and Lattes. I don't know if you've read The Hands of the Emperor yet, but if you love beaurocratic cozy fantasy, it is the best! One of my very favorites.
I adored Nettle & Bone - it takes a bit to get into, but it's so charmingly offbeat and such a wonderful love-letter to fairytales, as much of T. Kingfisher's work is! SO happy for the recommendation on Psalm for the Wild-Built - I haven't heard of this one, but it sounds so good!
I recommend The Wandering Inn by Pirateaba. I got very similar vibes reading Legends and Lattes as if Travis Baldree was inspired by The Wandering Inn.
Ahh! Thank you for this video! The book that got me wishing for more cozy vibed books was Sunshine by Robin McKinley. The main character works in a cafe as a baker and makes the best cinnamon rolls, her home gave cozy vibes too. Yet there is this supernatural world around her that she gets pulled into.
Cosy & Fantasy? Have the planets aligned? This is EXACTLY what I needed and wanted :) Thank you for this video. 🙏 I'll have to find these books and read them. With the appropriate ambiance, latte and cinnamon rolls, as you suggested ;)
ive only read the first three volumes so far, but i highly recommend the manga series Witch Hat Atelier by Kamome Shirahama!! its sooooo beautifully illustrated and whilst there are high stakes moments its still incredible and always reminds me of cozy fantasies so im counting it lol :p
Such a good list! i’m new in the cozy fantasy world and now I have a good starting point, I’ve seen Legends & Lattes in so many list that I think that’ll be my starting point
When it comes to cozy fantasy: everything from Walter Moers! He is my absolute favorite author and no one ever talks about his wonderful books unfortunately. I especially recommend The City of dreaming books for cozy vibes. Rumo i recommend for more darkness 🖤
The T. Kingfisher books are amazing. I am currently reading Clockwork Boys and it's also great! Very funny. A bit of an adventure and a mystery. You should really try it
Nettle and Bone doesn't start at the beginning, which is initially a little confusing, but then it soon goes to a chronological telling -- then it really rolls along and is great. Swordheart and A Wizard's Guide are great. The Paladin series is set in the same world as Swordheart, with some overlapping characters. T. Kingfisher also writes middle grade books under the name Ursula Vernon, and those are fantastic -- I haven't read her Dragonbreath series, but the Harriette Hamsterbone the Hamster Princess books are funny and surprising and so so great.
Company of witches is going on my tbr. Honestly, a lot of these are going on my TBR. Can’t spell treason without tea was really really good. Legends has my heart but it’s definitely the same vibe!
I think your channel is the RUclips equivalent of cozy fantasy! I love the atmosphere you manage to create with warm colors and the candles, and also your personal style reminds me of a fairy or a magic character, I love it!
I really enjoyed this video! Can't wait to get hold of a copy of Lattes and Legends and curl up with a latte to read it! And magical buerocracy in A Marvellous Light intrigues me too :)
I listen to background ambience/sounds with every book I read! Some books even have soundtracks already.. like if they were made into a show or movie. Tons of other ambient environments can be found, it really helps me be better immersed in the story.
You may enjoy the Bartolemeus series by Jonathan Stroud - it's middle-grade but other than that it's similar to the magical bureaucracy concept you mentioned, and the action stays high throughout the series.
Yeah!! A Dutch booktuber! I was watching and heard you say Freya Marske and thought: that sounds Dutch 😂 Superleuk! Ben benieuwd naar de rest van je content 👍
I really want to read a wizards guide to defensive baking! I read Legends & Lattes and I loved thimble and the giant cat and the coffee shop 😊 and I also use the fantasy tavern and coffee shop ambiance videos! They are so great
totally agree about T. Kingfisher!! Nettle & Bone was one of my favourite books I read in 2022, and defensive baking was sooo cute, loved it as well. So many of these are on my tbr, such a great genre
I love cozy fantasy so much! My favourite is Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree obviously but I'm looking forward to exploring the genre more this year! Great Video!♡
I didn't think anyone else had heard of In the Company of Witches! I honestly grabbed it for the cover alone because it had great vibes. T. Kingfisher is my favorite author at the moment, I love their horror books as well as their fantasy books.
Love your energy and style as well, ah! :3 Haven't read any of these books yet but im going to now!! Im only pretty recently "found the reading hobby" and videos like yours are really inspiring!
Oh my gosh I'm so glad I found this video! I LOVE Cozy Fantasy! If you liked A Wizard's Guide and Auralee's books, you'd probably love Danielle Garrett's books. Her books are big on magic and sassy talking animals which I love to pieces. They're like a big hug - highly recommend. I also loved The Familiars by Stacey Hall I think, and The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy!
In the company of witches is so good!!! I devoured it in 2 sittings! I also cried at the end of the book. It was one of my favorite books of last year!
A Wizards Guide sounds a bit like Magic, Lies and Deadly Pies. That's a cozy murder mistery about a young woman who can bake feelings or intentions into her pies. So she can make people feel good or bad about something when they eat her pies, but she can also use them to murder people. I loved it, highly recommend
I just finished A Psalm for the Wild-Built and I can't stop recommending it to people. I'm looking forward to reading the sequel as well, which came out recently. Thanks to you I ordered the kindle version of both That That time I got Drunk... and the second book in the series. I'm surprised you didn't mention any of the T.J. Klune books.
Love this video 😍I haven't read much cozy fantasy yet but I'm looking forward to reading some of your recs, especially Legend & Lattes! From what I've read, I loved The House in the Cerulean Sea!
Thanks, love the fun responses and the humor in your voice. Makes me want to either go buy a book you recommended, or write on. HMMM, like the second idea.
I've read most of the ones you mentioned and loved them. I'll be checking out the ones I haven't read yet soon. Definitely recommend anything by Becky Chambers if people have any interest in sci Fi. I have just written my first enchanting definitely a cozy Family fantasy Novel, Max MacNeil & the Secrets of the Amulet and have been researching booktubers to review. let me know if you may be keen to read mine. :-D xx

Oh you have to read earlier things by T Kingfisher! She has a bunch of fairytale retellings that are amazing and has very similar vibes. I'll read anything by her
If I may suggest one cozy fantasy series that seems to be right up your alley: The House Witch by Delemhach (it is also a series - total of 3 books). Its on kindle unlimited but I do highly suggest the audiobook as well. It was truly french kiss 🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻

Some great recommendations there. Added a few to my wishlist 😁 Legends and Lattes is my fav cosy book. The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy was also a really nice cosy book and a 5 star for me, so would highly recommend that one 😊
For the Legends and Lattes book, you mentioned to have a latte and pastry whilst reading. Is it ok if I have an energy drink (Cotton Candy Bang energy) and Maple Waffle flavored pop tart?

Some great recommendations there. Added a few to my wishlist 😁 Legends and Lattes is my fav cosy book. The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy was also a really nice cosy book and a 5 star for me, so would highly recommend that one 😊
I would add “The Rules and Regulations Mediating Myth and Magic by F. T. Lukens (really any of their books!)
that sounds very fun
For the Legends and Lattes book, you mentioned to have a latte and pastry whilst reading. Is it ok if I have an energy drink (Cotton Candy Bang energy) and Maple Waffle flavored pop tart?
Great recommendations! Thank you. Has anyone ever told you that at times you have a slightly Australian accent?
I love how we made murder stories cosy😂✨️
Someone was killed? I'm here for the vibes👌🏻
HAHA this comment made me laugh out loud hahahahaha
