      @@TNW1337 would I be better off just getting this 550 watt PSU on Amazon, and a 24 pin adaptor, and keeping my current PSU in the case and using the 550 watt as a external PSU by routing the 6+2 Pin from the 550 to my GTX 1080? I just thought it might be an idea, not only is this PSU much cheaper then the proprietary HP one, but more watts and dedicated to the GPU. Would definitely have a great amount of headroom.

    Which RAM did you install, and did it achieve the clock speeds advertised? I had issues with any 1.35v RAM in my HP Victus due to the motherboard not supporting that voltage, essentially handicapping and advertised 3200 MHz down to something in the 2000's MHz.

    • @ungooy

      Please, I need an answer to this! Any RAM that runs at the advertised speed? All of them seem to drop to the base JEDEC Speed.

    • @zeroturn7091
      @zeroturn7091 Год назад +1

      It’s going to run at JEDEC regardless, the BIOS doesn’t have XMP profiles. Your best bet is to find a kit that runs at 1.2v. If you have Ryzen Master you can set the Infinity Fabric to get to 3200MHz (just remember it’s half of DDR). I haven’t messed with Intel XTU to say if the same is possible.

    • @TNW1337
      @TNW1337  Год назад +2

      you need 1.2 or 1.25v ram no it will down clock it with about a 2%-3% Fps loss but the gain of 40% with dual channel over rules the 2-3% loss.

    I am glad you keeping the tg01 alive i have been battling to find ways to upgrade my tg01. which card would you recommend i get with a 500watt without breaking the bank and having better performance than the GTX 1650super i am currently running or is there a way to get a 700watt psu in the tg01 and lastly I have 2x 8gb Corsair RGB Vengeance Pro Sticks, will they work with a RTX upgrade?
    thanks a million

      I have the same graphics card (ryzen 5 by the way) , I’m about to buy and install a RTX 4060 ti hopefully. Found decent ones on Best Buy for about $380-500. Im gonna do PayPal checkout , if you have it there’s an option to “pay-in-4” so I’ll be paying $116 out of 4 paychecks, I don’t know your budget but I doubt this breaks the bank too much.
      I’m kinda a noob on pc upgrades but so far it sounds like a 4060 ti might be the strongest card we can install without a power supply upgrade , but I doubt you really need more than that fr

    Thanks for this video! Just to clarify a point you said, would the 400w PSU be sufficient if I'm looking at the 4060 ti?

    Guys I have a question where can I find a new psu for my hp pavilion because I have a 310 watt but I bought a hp rtx 2060 super and on Amazon a new hp psu is 140€ or will the 310 watt psu be enough to run a Hp rtx 2060 super and an overclocked i5 10400f from 2,90ghz to 4,00ghz + 16gb ram and 500gb storage

    I've got the 3070 still but thinking of going to the 4070. do you think its worth it for 1080p gaming? I'm ok with the 3070 but feel I might be missing out on a much smoother experience. and might be upgrading to 1440p monitor later?

    How to get the 500 watt psu?

      Order it from HP. If you watch his older videos.. where he does the 500watt and 3070 upgrade. He give the part numbers in the description. Very important to order the right part number for the power supply. Trust me.

    "..if you can't afford.."
    Most people got these budget prebuilt gaming desktops at huge discounts (the amount of money you would spend on 4060ti GPU) online via Amazon or similar services, and even full price at retailers like Walmart are not that expensive. Between the cost of the desktop, monitor, and limited upgradeable parts, you are spending double or more what you would in an online shop that deals "custom" prebuilt PCs with these specs out of the box. Affordability should not even be a sentiment on upgrading a Pavilion. They are designed to be obsolete faster than custom because it keeps people coming back for the newer "shinier" model. It's essentially a way for people who live check to check to enjoy modern gaming. Not to mention they are very low power consumption because they are built with the bare minimum. Anyone who wants these specs should just get a custom rig and stop these upgrade shenanigans.

    Damn, I took this pc to a store and they said that installing a new graphics card wouldn't make the pc much better because the other pieces wouldn't been able to sustain it.

      Do you have AMD or Intel CPU? I clocked it up with Ryzen Master, and it's been working fine for a couple months (Please someone else correct me if this is bad advice)
