During my travels in various African countries, I've come across situations where professionalism and tourist hospitality weren't up to par. But I've learned to adapt and make the most of these challenging circumstances. I've realized that many African nations struggle with limited tourism infrastructure due to political instability and other factors. So, I can empathize with the difficulties they face. Thanks for sharing your experience, sending warm regards from SA 🇿🇦 As always, Shalom! 😉🙏🏻
100% accurate.
I wish you had received some advice. Air bnb in Uganda is very, very tricky. I would advise travellers to Uganda avoid Air bnb. Do highly rated furnished apartments or well rated hotels
Yes well, this was a highly rated one and it was still terrible 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♂️
Always interesting content and do feel sorry for your experience, though on the plus you get to add another story to your channel. Our continent is so diverse, so this kind of thing would happen eventually, but generally the people on the African continent go out of their way to make especially foreign visitors feel welcome. In this instance I'd suspect they probably new at the ABnB business and going silent is a sign of lack of training on how important feedback to clients is for any business.
Hope your next stop along your tours finds you in the best of service and hospitality. Shalom
Oh no! You guys have been through the most🙈 sorry for the bad experience. Love the honesty though❤️🔥🇿🇦✨️
Thank you
My cousin here in Kenya is a travel agent and AirBnB inspector. No nasty surprises.
J W Marriott has luxury furnished apartments. I see more middle-class hotels venturing into furnished apartments. The advantage they have over AirBnBs is a 24/7 reception and maintenance crew. You can also get a new apartment if you're unhappy with your apartment.
@NjonjoNdeh. this is good to know about JW Marriott
We will definitely look into that for next time
❤Good evening lovely fam🥰…I’m sorry you had a really horrible ordeal at that BNB…hope you feel better…you know you always & home when you’re in The motherland of 🇿🇦south Africa🇿🇦
😂😂...So sorry guys ...But one thing i love about yall you openly tells us the good and bad and the ugly...SA is home no offense we love the rest of our African brothers and sisters 😊
Be specific with your title. Saying Africa when you can be specific is shitty. I think you are educated to know that
We are saying it the worst in all of Africa. I would think you would be educated enough to know that.
I love how you guys talk about the good and the bad. I Would've left the first day! In this day and age y'all have patience; respect!😤
Thank you so much
Thank you. Shalom🌷
You are so welcome. Shalom.
I’ve had such experiences before. So I only do superhosts with good reviews….. no more surprises
The craziest part is it was a super host
Waiting
Sorry for this experience. I hope the rest of your experience in Uganda was pleasant.
Absolutely we loved it
@@FREEDOMCHASERSLIFE I’m mad cuz I know my peeps and I could visualize just how this encounter went down. Just like in America you will encounter the gamut. We have the nicest and ofcourse people who maybe are unhappy and don’t care for anyone else.
There you go !😮😢
That was very stressful. The fact that you probably had to depend extra money to buy water maybe, knowing you should’ve had water at the Airbnb that had had already paid for in advance is very stressful to think about. I hope they either change or shut down.
Yeah it was bad but at least air Bibb gave us some of our money back and I still gave them a 1 star review. It won’t let you give zero😂😂😂
Sorry about that terrible experience, besides that, i hope you find some enjoyable experiences
The place was terrible but the country was great
How do you guys move from country to country with a small baby? When does your child get to go school, get grounded like other kids?
I don’t think they planed to move from country to country , they wanted a suitable place for their baby .
She’s not even two years old but she will be homeschooled when the time comes. Also, she’s not other kids.
Management system in a area/city/district etc depends who is running the area.Really sad that this is a reality.
Hopefully, they will improve on their services
Hopefully
The real uganda has manifested!
Watching from Uganda.. huhuhuhu
One thing that I've realized about our african brother and sisters they aren't so welcoming especially the East-central and west.
What a bad experience. BnB's should have everything perfectly in place because they are not like hotels where you keep calling reception to complain about such uncertainties.
Much love from Kenya and hope you worked your way around the issues.
Thank you
I am so sorry ya'll had such a time with that BnB in Uganda. Damn!!! I was so much hoping ya'll have all the best of everything in the country I talk about and love so much. Oh well. Moving on. If ain't nobody told ya'll they love ya'll today . . . nkwagala, okukwagala . . . it's twice told that way! See ya'll in SA . . . L
We loved Uganda and we are not judging the whole country by one terrible Airbnb host.
Good job SA would suit you anywere
The same thing happened to my sisters and l, and we had a baby. When we complained, they didn't do anything and ended up blaming us, very unprofessional..
We are so sorry to hear that. We definitely understand.
Did u move or change airbnb?
😅😅😅sounds like a comedy
😂 it’s funny to us now but not at the time
Ugggh! I never stay anywhere without current reviews. Please share name to educate others and save us misery. This person should not be hosting at this time until they can guarantee what they claim they can offer.
We will add the link to the description
Are y'all making a vídeo about what city in South Africa 🇿🇦 y'all are moving to?
We havent decided yet
Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear about your bad experience. BUT did you know that you could get a FULL refund from Airbnb if you report the listing to them as "not as advertised". In some cases they might even give you a little extra compensation depending on circumstances. Remember next time ;-)
Yes we did contact Airbnb
There’s no exchausted for what the guy did.
FYI, u ain’t seen nothing yet, u will during yr adventure in Africa. 😂😂😂 Good luck!
Hospitality and customer service in some parts of Africa esp West Africa in my own experience was a shocker!
#proudlySouthAfrican.
Up until this point we have had really good experiences
Oooh my am so sorry eeh 😂😂😂😂ok am not laughing
😩😩 don’t laugh at us Brenda 😂😂😂 we remember what you said before we went
Lol , I have to admit that was a bit funny. She gave you the run around
Terrible for business
Sorry for the inconveniences i think Africans we still have many issues to fix out
It's not an African thing. It's just being human and not taking care of business as it should. It can happen anywhere in this world.
I think this particular host just doesn’t care enough to do a good job in this business.
😂😂😂😂That was experience in itself.....If you dont know it created unforgable memory than the best places you lived
Ok 😂😂
The mysterious "they." That cracked me up. Who really is this "they" guy? Where does he live? What does he do when he's not working? What's his music taste? In Africa there are many "they" guys. It's a real big mystery as to what they're really doing when needed somewhere, even a place with a baby! Me thinks when "they" is supposed to be somewhere, he's actually having fun with another kind of baby, if you know what I mean. 😀😀😀
😂😂😂
Renting a place with no reviews is a major risk. It is like hiring a professional with zero work experience.
True but there weren’t many options and the same people had good reviews on other properties. So we don’t know why they were so terrible.
@@FREEDOMCHASERSLIFE I have avoided certain cities because of the lack of good airbnb options. That's why I stick to Nairobi, Cape Town, Joburg, etc.
Clearly you are just doing your job do your thing
Listen fam...see what you NOT gonna do ... is NOT leave their name in the chat... don't call it revenge ..call it a refund😂😂😂
😂😂😂 I’ll put a link in the description. I’m still mad it’s not showing the review I left.
Your host doesnt pay her bill! Why would the water be cut off it doesnt make sense!! We always have our water 24/7
Some Ugandans are good at doing embarrassing things
😳
There's a saying "you have patience for days" which just means you have a lot of patience, but ya'll quiet literally had patience for days. I mean damn, that could never be me. I probably would've tore that place the hell up and left them a 0 star rating, and then read them for filth, especially after the filthy bucket of water they brought ya'll. What's the name and location of this air bnb? So we can avoid it!
😂😂😂 We linked it in the description.
You guys are way too patient. Seems like a you problem. 🤣🤣🤣 I am more frustrated by you guys because WHY WOULD YOU KEEP STAYING THERE 😭 and why would you go to a new listing 😭😭😭 oh, no, ma’am!
😂😂 easier said than done
Post their name so we could collaraborate the story. It's very important to hear from both sides.
Guys you need to mention the name of this airbnb so people don't waist their money to go there. If they don't care about their business and the people who are renting it, then you should not care about telling us the name of the airbnb.
Link in description
Hope not in Kenya guys😂😂😂😂🇰🇪we love you people
No it was not
Can happen anywhere…. My bad experience was in Mombasa. And I am Kenyan
They already mentioned the country within the first 100 seconds of the video...
Wakenya munajipendekeza sana. It's really annoying & cringe galore.
@@thedante7722It's no wonder another one said in her video that Kenyans are too subservient, they keep saying sorry even when they are not on the wrong and she found it quite irritating.
Why not name and shame this disaster of a place? Save others from experiencing the horror
Adding the link soon
My dawg.....fuck that extra stuff it's over rated.... but the argument is funny and TMI
Over rated just like where you come from!.... this does not apply to all African countries there are those that got it together.
Some Kenyans on the internet were nasty to them. The country itself was not. I wish them all the best in their travels. One thing for sue! "They will miss Kenya".
Most people in such businesses used to live overseas, and if they act like that, it's because of how they were treated once.
that's bullshit
@sarfinalove3947 Really? Airbnb is definitely not an African concept. Have you ever heard of UNAA? I used to go to those meetings back in the day, and most people who attended were interested in opening up Airbnb's in Africa. Most of those properties are owned by Africans in diaspora, or Africans who've returned from diaspora. You can say bs all you want, but I do my homework.
Then they need to get out of the Customer Service business. Totally unacceptable. No excuses.
Is this the Rwandan Airbnb?😂
It is not
This might be suprising to you but africans dont like each other, this african kumbaya fantasy you had is non existent,we really...really dont like each other 😂😂
We’ve noticed
This negative videos is not good for Africa. Rather sort the issues privately. Lets not down our own people. They might be new in the hospitality bussines and not having any experience.
So what? So they should just lie about their experience? They didn’t name them mos. If there’s one thing you should know about this couple, it’s that they’re candid. The business owner should do better - no excuses!
This mentality is the issue.
Excuse, excuses my fellow countryman. I say NO! Enough of Africa is different from the rest. If you buy that…That’s on you!
Hey, that's good preparation for what can happen to you. You can't paint a rosy picture when foreigners are going to find out that it's not the truth.
😂😂😂😂😂and they wonder why you chose S.A
Dont go there bro, jst enjoy the vid and end there
S.a is not perfect it has a high crime rate!!
His name has 666 that's y he's saying this
@@kcchristop thank you
