    Back when KG was thought to be the '7 foot MJ' and Marbury was 'Starbury'. I love that reverse at 6:00 since MJ doesn't even use the glass. I remember around this time, Marbury was interviewed in Slam Magazine and his quote on MJ: "I knew what MJ was about before playing him but MAN, how can one person have that much game? I mean, I know I got game, I know I got game but man, to see him play is just incredible."

    Changed his game at 32 yrs of age. And was still the best in an Era wit all them young Studs is just absolutely amazing. And a true testament of his Greatness!

    Layup switching hands by Jordan at :28 seconds is monster. That play is underrated.

    MJ was so great even at 96-98.No competition..he seemed to be wiser saving energy but when it was needed,he would put his superman suite again and fly to the basket to open the defence

    Thanks for the regular uploads mlynch, especially as it seems you have a lot of rarely seen games. I agree with you, btw...I love watching the 1984-1993 MJ just for the wow factor, but in many ways, I appreciate the 1996-1998 MJ even more. His evolution as a player is definitely one of the most compelling things about his career.

    As highlighted by the commentator on this video, MJ played that entire year with a torn ligament/cracked knuckle bone on his index finger..on his SHOOTING hand! He shot 46% that year & that was a "DOWN" year for him LOL!!

    Yeah, it took Jordan about 15-20 games to adjust to the injury on his shooting hand. He shot something like 41-42% from the field and 69% from the line (for a career 51% FG/84% FT shooter, so you know something was wrong). After he adjusted his form/technique after that initial 15-20 games, I think he shot around 48% FG and 85% FT.

    I think Kevin Harlan is the best announcer in the game. Definitely my favorite when he gets excited. A young KG and a young Marbury together was a pretty awesome combo. Til Steph left and became a cancer everywhere he went. Had he stayed they might've been unbelievable.

    The only notable addition the Chicago Bulls had made during that championship period was Bill Cartwright, Dennis Rodman & Ron Harper. Apart from that, everything else, they developed. Even Phil Jackson was started professionally in Chicago. It Is What It Is.

  • @Articulate20
    @Articulate20 11 лет назад +2

    If you look at Michael Jordan's Chicago Bulls throughout their championship years, you'll see that, in terms of All-Stars to Championship Experience brought in from around the league), Kobe Bryant has had the spoils of alot of help. From Shaquille O'Neal, Karl Malone, Gary Payton, Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace(Formerly Ron Artest), Robert Horry, Horace Grant to Ron Harper, Lamar Odom, Brian Shaw, Antawn Jamison, Steve Nash, Dwight Howard to even having the benefit of Phil Jackson's coaching.
