Wow, Father Mike, your homily is so right on. So many of my friends and family have stopped going to church. We all were raised as Catholics, gone to Catholic school, received the Sacraments. Watching the mass on TV satisfies them although they are physically able to attend. Most do not go at all. This really saddens me. I don’t know what to do about it because it is their choice and talking about it seems to bounce off the wall. I will pray and pray and pray some more.
@MikeSchmitz-b8r I communicate to GOD every day. Typically I think I would pray 3 times or more a day. I believe I feel closer to God when I pray at times near reading the Bible on a regular basis. Iron Sharpens Iron. God Bless You Father Mike.
@@MikeSchmitz-b8r I live in Victor NY a suburb of Rochester NY. I had an idea for a digital database of all the baptism records that are at all the churches in the USA so the church can do outreach to get people coming back on a regular basis. What do you think?

Holy mackerel!! 😳 I think in my 67 years of being a Catholic and wondering what my purpose is now that I’m a retired nurse and just teaching CCD twice a week, this has to be the most impactful sermon that has shaken me back into my realization that I do truly have a purpose still and have to recognize that it means something and stick with it! Thank you Fr. Mike! Wow!
This resonates so much with me. It’s the slow creep that is almost unnoticed until you take a big step back and relook at things. Fantastic sermon Father Mike. Thank you
You’re not hearing them by accident! God speaks to us in many ways, and it sounds like He’s guiding you right where you need to be. Keep listening, keep your heart open, and have the courage to respond to His call. He has something good in store for you!
