Luke 17: 3 If your brother sins, rebuke him. And if he repents forgive him. Mark 11: 25 When you pray, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them so that your Father in in Heaven will forgive you your sins.
I do agree for the most part with loving and forgiving from a distance but do not completely agree with the fact that God will always distance you from a person that you still need to forgive. At times God won't move you, the person or certain situations but will be required to still forgive. Think about Christian's persecuted in other countries and nations who can't remove themselves nor is removed. Jesus requirement for us to love our enemies and doing good to those despitefully using us will not always be at a distance. However, do believe it requires another level of Faith and grace to do it.
I needed this, it took me a long time to forgive my ex. Nothing but God got me through that.
I think the hardest part of forgiving is when it's still happening.
