@@johndeeregreen4592 Hello. Lyric doesn’t mean to have a light timbre. Lyric and dramatic means how strong and how many upper harmonics your voice has. A dramatic voice (Glenn Miller for example) shares a lot more stronger upper harmonics while a lyric voice doesn’t share so many strong upper harmonics. Vladimir Miller is definitely a Basso Profondo. He sounds to me like a lyric profondo because I don’t think he’s a dramatic one. A dramatic one would be Glenn Miller. Have a nice day. PS: Don’t worry if you didn’t know the definition of these terms before. I didn’t know them too for a while. I thought like you that lyric means light timbre and dramatic means deep, dark and heavy voice with a extended lower end range.
@@profdrrernatshekelstein I agree with you. Lyric is not the same thing as "light." For example, lyric baritones don't usually sound like tenors with lower extensions unlike what we might think. I'm a lyric baritone, and my voice my be a little bit light for a baritone, but not much. In my opinion, my voice doesn't really sound like a tenor's timbre but with a baritone's tessitura.
Glad to see 19:25 included :) Would love to see vocal range videos for other oktavists Hahaha those sub Eb1s were nice I would probably say 4:12 is not chest or something like that Great research
yeah ill probably do some oktavist themed videos in the future also i thought the same about the Eb4 but couldn't figure out what it was...maybe a weird mix?
Great basso profundo with an interesting timbre. Altough weak vibratto and his voice overally is very often shaky and uncontrolled, especially in lower notes.
His tone is oddly dark around C#2. It makes it sound like the note is much lower. I am a basso profondo and have the vocal weight at C2(ish), but not his DARK timbre. I actually love it. He is a bit unconventional, in my opinion, but his tone really fits some more somber songs better than other people's.
@@vitormrmr only the one at the end of Ave Maria live was a modal voice. If you want evidence just search for Vladimir Miller Eternal Memory and he hits a G1 twice there, its clearly hearable its fry
@@vitormrmr no i dont think so. His voice is much sharper. And thats very funny because he can sing his lowest notes with big power. Glenn has louder timbre and overtones but i think vladimir has just a wider larynx (he is clearly bigger man than glenn haha) so he sounds a bit rounder. Of course glenn can go lower about 2 tones i guess. Another very interesting thing is how his voice is close to vocal fry - there is a very thin line between them. He easily enters the subharmonics BY ACCIDENT. I know only one oktavist which had such an ease in accidential subharmonics and it was the great Zlatopolsky
definitely a natural profundo/oktavist and a good singer but around A1 his voice starts to sound forced. id say on the basso profundo spectrum he's on the mid-high end, compared to glenn miller who's on the low end
I mean he's lower-pitched than your typical basso profondo but higher than your typical oktavist. And Glenn Miller, in my opinion, is around on the medium-low end. Sometimes Glenn can hit notes such as Bb0 in chest, but he usually bottoms out at F1. I've heard several low basses with even more comfortable and consistent low notes than Glenn Miller.
Its very interesting I also heard many strange accidential subharmonics in other oktavists voices (pasjukov, zlatopolsky EVEN G0) its very interesting why these strange cracks happen
Yeah, his vibratto is probably the weakest part of his voice. His voice alone is great of course but that vibratto is inconsistent and very shaky. It's not something that you would expect from someone with such a musical background.
A legit light voice oktavist. Awesome voice.
If there was such a thing, I would call him a lyrical Oktavist; nearly a cross between a basso profondo and an Oktavist.

How can someone be this good at hitting subharmonic notes accidentally?😂

It has a bit fried

That E1 sounds more like an E2 to me.
Is the note at 17:13 a G0?
yes it is

Is there a translation for 20:03 ?
Create some unbelievable coloring(or tone or something, can't hear right) in opera. Also says he had high voice as a boy

His voice isn’t pretty, but has a ton of character and presence. Very much like Kurt Moll.
An excellent bass but I don't find his notes around middle C convincing. It's in his true voice that he sounds best.
