We were lucky, I was a teen also although I always felt incredibly far removed in a village in Essex, little did I know the raves were happening apparently all around while I dreamed of London and Manchester 🙄

I've spent a bit of time re-buying CDs I owned the first time around....Stone Roses, Wonderstuff, Ocean Colour Scene, and a few others.....I should never have gotten rid of them, now I can see myself buying Pills & Thrills again 😆✌️

I totally agree ( i have seen them twice live ) But sometimes Band's like the Monday's are better off being semi underground & having real musical fans who get the style / fashion & where they're coming from or where they're at musically. When Band's / DJ's turn pop or get too famous, it all goes to shit.

Without doubt the most underrated band ever. Astounding. Overshadowed by stone roses - don't have a clue why-and think the marketing was wrong. If stone roses could sell out the CITY stadium for days on end then why not the Monday's??? Monday's infinitely better than meandering roses crap.
I think they were virtually unmanageable 🤣 Allthough that is part of the appeal for the listener/fan/record buyer trying to get someone to put the money up for a stadium on the back of this lot at their high hights of hedonism must have been incredibly difficult. I recall shaun being asked in an interview "Why factory records?" He replied "cos no other cooker wants us😃"
