All those types spawned classic albums on their breakaway projects late 90s. Their legend was established / were in their prime, was the perfect situ whoever they recruited was in awe and it brought the best out
I recall a shopping trip to buy a new stereo as that was how we listened to music in those days. I needed a new CD player and was looking at a few options. The sales assistant approached me and asked if I had anything that I wanted to listen to. Having just purchased the It's great when your straight album, I asked him to play this particular tune over the shops speakers. I can still see the look on the guys face to this day. He asked me who it was and I told him. I bought a new CD player and the sales assistant bought this album. Good times.
American here, discovered this band on a Brit Rock playlist. Great find! Music like this makes me want to leave my country. I live in the wrong country.
@@adamluck7002 No it isn't. Ryder's brother Paul played bass in The Mondays, he wasn't in Black Grape. Guitar here is by Paul Wagstaff aka Wags...and it is indeed fucking brilliant.
Nah, most people have terrible taste. Look at the songs with millions of views. Almost entirely awful. You wouldn't want those people listening to Black Grape. They wouldn't like it, and it wouldn't just be for cool people like you and me. Getting millions of views is a badge of shame!
I remember this coming out and was suprised and relieved. Shaun had been through a bit and I thought nothing could top top the Mondays, but this is on par. Brilliant.
This was shot at the site formerly known as the Pearl Assurance Building on High Holborn, it was closed for 10 years before reopening in 2000 as a Hotel - its now Rosewood London 5* Luxury Accommodation........one of the chauffeurs told me about the shoot when he was in to pick up a guest, I used to be a doorman there I did tell the Hotels PR to add this video to the Wikipedia Page but so far they haven’t done it - this video has only been on you tube for 2 years as previously the one I saw 5 years ago was found under “wHo HaS the BiGgEst BrAiN”
They came and played at UEA in 1995 and my mates forced me to go (thank goodness). Never heard them before holy moly did that night stick in my memory!
But this one was only aired very briefly before it got banned, and they replaced it with the "Mob Funeral & Nightclub" clip for the song - an even better video IMO.
It is 2024 and I still like this song.
It's amazing, Rave on . 🔥💪💯😎
Me too. And I’m called Kellie. Double bonus. Xxx
Absolute classic album
Doesn’t get the credit it deserves
The lyrics are tremendous, funny as fuck and the tunes are banging
