We used mostly simple words in this video, but talked at a faster speed. It is interesting to see the English speaking habits reflected in Max's Mandarin, and some communication strategies he used with simpler Chinese words. Also, we used filler words like 然后, 就是, quite exessively 😆. I thought it could be a good listening practice to feel the more "normal" speaking speed in simple Chinese.
@@wiggmanoriginalGood question. On the top of my head, here are some: He tends to say 这年 instead of 今年. He said 难一些,但是没有难像五年级, though not wrong, a more natural saying is 没有像五年级那么难. And he said 开始上学时, while we would just say 开学时. I think these are all like translations from English. But the most important thing is getting messages crossed, and he communicates himself really well. So it doesn’t have to be perfect Chinese:)
Please do more of these with him. It really helps me to learn. Something about the way kids, repeat the words and thoughts helps with the learning process. Thank you and thank you for the help.
@ 谢谢。 I have been teaching myself the basics and think it’s probably time to learn a bit more. I will check out your website for pricing when I have time. Keep up the great work.
Hello, I was watching RUclips and saw your video, and I really liked it, how cool that you talked to this boy, and asked him questions, I want to visit China one day, I'm from Brazil 🇧🇷, congratulations on the excellent video, success in your journey, a hug from Brazil 🇧🇷.
Wow, I enjoyed watching this because I understood 95% of this. Wow ❤. I have been studying Chinese for a year now, and content like this is what I need. Pls do more interviews with Max. You did an awesome job using simple Chinese. Thank you so much.
Dàjiã hão!!!, this video was so fun, need more Max😂😂, see so happy remembering your childhood 😊😊. My Chinese is not even good as Max I can not read. Thanks to you and Max!!!
This was one of the most wholesome interviews I've ever seen in my life! Great job, Max. If I were a boss at a company, I'd hire him. That little guy is for sure gonna go places😄 & Great job jun laoshi, you're a great teacher & and interviewer, very well done ❤ ❤👩🏫 🥇🥇 👏
Thank you so much for this video. I am so happy that I was able to watch and undestand it without subtitles, it makes me feel like I'm on the right path and should keep going 😭❤
@@nic.esp20 You got this! And the whole point of getting input is to listen to the ones that you can mostly understand without subtitles. Those are the ones suitable to your level and you can benefit the most from.
Thank you so much for this fantastic video. I appreciate how clearly you speak, making it easy to understand you even if the speed is faster than what I'm used to (though I do have to rewind often enough). This is the perfect content for the level I am currently at.
Love this interview - was very funny and good to hear someone who is fluent (in ways of speaking), but due to living in different environment not being exposed to much vocab. Max 我佩服你 🙌加油 🗣
Max's Chinese seems pretty effortless, and to me at least, it seems his pronunciation and tones are excellent. Maybe Max can talk about his experience of learning Chinese in Canada.
那么可爱!Being able to compare both teaching systems is very interesting. I am Spanish but my mother is French and I would spend 1-2 weeks at the French elementary school in her home town every year before we returned home so I could compare both teaching systems. Math and language levels were higher in Spain but I prefered how History was taught in France.
Sometimes I feel discouraged because learning Chinese can be so difficult.when that happens I will watch this Video again. I had no idea I could understand so much.Sticky-note is a genius. P..S. Where’s your “ Super Thanks “ option.❤🇨🇦
I liked this video, I can't not believe I understood 80%. This encourage me to continue with my classes some time you feel you are not making any progress thank you very much..

what a cute kid!
In addition to the video's other virtues I liked the art, kept wondering if I'd seen it somewhere before.
I love the art too! But it was randomly picked up from the curb. Can you believe it? Lol
很可爱的😊
我更喜欢这种中级的对话,希望以后老师能多发汉语中级/高级内容的视频
我尽量保持平衡,发一个初级的,然后一个中高级的🤭
谢谢老师的考虑👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

What is the difference between jiujiu and shushu? And can we also say jiuma is ayi?
jiujiu is the brother of your mother. Shushu is the brother of your father.
@ thanks. now which one is ayi? Your mother sister or your father sister. What about shushu’s wife?
@@misscidella mama’s sister is yima, yima’s husband is yifu. Baba’s sister is gugu, we call Gugu’s husband gufu

It's a pity he does not have chinese name. Asian names are beautiful. No need to be ashamed.
He does have a Chinese name, it was like the 2nd sentence he said, “My Chinese name is Li Yihong!”
Did you even watch the video? 😅
And he’s very proud of his Chinese name. But in day-to-day life, he’s just more used to being called Max here.
