Now that he's out of the league it's not the same because I don't know a man with more drive besides Jordan...and Kobe. Win at all cost is a mindset that's not taught.
In one podcast, Edelman revealed that he (Tom) wasn't looking to surpass Montana's 4 SBs. He was after MJ's record which he eventually surpassed, 7-6. Tom was simply too modest here to admit that. He didn't want to rub it on MJ out of respect for him but the whole world knows what he really had in mind.

@@fromthefrunchroom yep. While in business, it's NOT a zero sum game. In sports, you can respect your opponents, and you compete hard against them, yet not wish them ill, and every one makes great money. Yet, when you win, the other team loses. That's just sports,. In business, you can make yourself and clients money. Sure, you have competition that loses out, but it's not like you have to "crush your enemies" to win in business. You have to compete hard, but no need to see them as "enemies". In sports, a few athletes need to hype themselves up like that to perform at their best, but most don't. Pat doesn't get that not everyone thinks like him! I like him overall but it's crazy how he can obtuse at times.

As a pats fan it makes me sick to my stomach to know they didn't give him whatever he asked for. After 20 years im 39 i remember when we played Green Bay I was only one for the 85 bears. But I remember when we lost with Drew my dad saying maybe in ten years we'll get one.then 01 happened it felt so surreal from the dirty hit in the Pittsburgh game that took him out and bledsoe come in and lead us to a win. To having the lead that super bowl against the greatest show on turf and then the feeling of oh my God here we go again when the game was tied John Madden saying take this to overtime. The watch that kick go through gails voice it's good it's good and New England is super bowl champions
Belichick screwed him over by not giving him the weapons he needed in his later years with the team and then not giving him the money he wanted and deserved is kind of unforgivable.

Belicheck has to get credit for believing in Brady. When Bledsoe was healthy again in 2001 Belicheck stuck with Brady even though he wasn’t really playing great he was playing ok. Belicheck passed on Bledsoe getting his job back even though he had just signed a 100 million dollar contract. He saw something in Tom and it took balls to give him the job over Bledsoe
It was incredibly gutsy for Belichick to stick with Brady when Bledsoe had recovered. Had they failed, all the criticism would have fallen on Belichick.
@@GameTime-yj6qvBill said he almost made Brady the starter the first game in 01. He was right there with Drew. They barely lost with Tom at QB after going 5-13 with Bledsoe.
PBD really needs to learn that not everyone thinks like him, not everyone is driven by enemies. Just because he is a greedy monster doesn't mean we all have to be.
He’s a social media manipulator, using rhetoric to get generate views, the whole raw raw thing, sometimes it just boils down to simple things, you don’t need this whole list of enemies and quotes, that sounds good on a RUclips short, in the real world do you think the average America is thinking I need a list of my enemies to go work my job tomorrow? No absolutely not, like Brady says he held the man in the mirror accountable F the rest you can only control yourself not the world
It was really easy to hate Brady when he was playing and beating my team all the time on his way to winning another Super Bowl. Now that he's retired I can admit that I admire his dedication and attitude towards football and life in general.
Im driven by enemies as well...being driven overcomes weakness...you can't show weakness to the enemy...patriots don't back down from their enemies🤔🤟🤟🤟
He had help from people to improve his performance, as do all professional athletes; trainers, physicians, and coaches. Tom Brady is goat at quarterback position, his records are unmatched, and the future generation of NFL players will be challenged to meet those accomplishments.
Tom’s consistency and longevity is so absurd that he’s the guy who genuinely may never have his records broken because of just how elite for how long somebody would have to be to do it. For someone to break his touchdowns record they’d need to have 40 a year for 16.25 seasons. In perspective of how absurd that would be to happen the most 40+ TD seasons is shared between Tom and Aaron with three. So the idea you’d have to average that for 16.25 seasons is wild. Or to best his yards you’d need 5,000 a season for just shy of 18 years. The most ever is five by Brees. The only other people to do it twice is Tom and Mahomes. So the only way he will ever be surpassed is if somebody not only plays for a really long time but does it at absolutely elite levels that entire time. It’s just incredible
He’s my hero. What I would give to have him autograph my football card of him. I’ve tried for years to do it I asked for it for Christmas every year until he retired I’m now 15 the hope is fading

Listening to Brady grovel about 18-1 all these years later makes this Giants Fan grin ear-to-ear. Thanks for the memories, Tom!
Damn you man 😢. Cheers
You bastard, ha ha.
18 and 1 giant loss
He alone has more super bowls that your franchise…
Here he is discussing 7 rings while you hang your hat on a single win. An example of the difference between a dude like Brady and a pedestrian.
"I wish to crush the souls of my enemies, to see them driven before me.. to hear the lamentations of their women." Tom Brady Gigachad
Conan goat mode
I’m a Giants fan but Brady is the GOAT. Wasn’t till he actually retired that I truly respected just how good he was and how his work ethic and passion drove him to be great
This is truly a Special Day, one in which multiple people who had something to do with this event look back and appreciate the day they interacted with Tom Brady. 👏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻
I hated this man because I was supposed to as an opposing team. But dammit I've always respected this guys drive and motivation. He is the true definition of a champion.
He didn't want to admit it because he knew MJ would lace them back up, hop on a team and try to get another 3peat
He is being truthful PBD , why is it hard to understand someone thinks a lot differently then you ?
The best quarterback in decades. Without him it’s almost impossible to watch patriots.
EVER
In decades LOL
Hes John cena
In decades lmao. He’s the best Qb off all decades.
@@LegallyBlind21 hes faker than John cena
Him and Mahomes are the only 2 QBs where I expect them to win no matter what. Even if they’re down 14 in the 4th, I just expect it.
Well, I mean Pat hasn't shown that clutch factor too much yet, Tom showed he had that cool clutchness every game.
Giants fan here & I absolutely HATED this man when he was on the Patriots. When he left for Tampa, I lived in FL. Started paying attention to him & this man is incredible!!
He's dodging the hell out of that question!
He flat out started talking about his body and health.
He is the danm GOAT and that can't be denied! I started off not liking him at all. It got to the point where you just couldn't deny his greatness! He's a danm winner and it was an absolute pleasure being able to watch him make history!
I've been lucky enough to witness Jordan,Tiger and Tom Brady's greatness, it was so danm awesome seeing it.
He's a cheater
@@donaldpump3072 hes a winner
Yeah I didn’t like him until like 4th Super Bowl then i was like ok i see it!
I felt like what he said was he was motivated by the fact that he could play longer and and he wanted win.
It's kind of a stupid question he doesn't care how many titles Michael Jordan has
I genuinely don’t understand people who try to pit Belichick and Brady against each other in terms of Super Bowl’s, neither of them win 6 of them without each other. I’m sure they both appreciate the hell out of each other.
Don’t know much about this guy but every answer he gives deserves a standing O.
As a giants fan beating him twice he was a very clutch qb put in the best situations.
As a Brady fan did you ever look at Eli's numbers in those 2 Championship runs??? 15 TD's ,2 INT's and he beat Farve and Rodgers right at Lambeau field. Eli was10 times the clutch performer than his brother was...
Words can’t describe him I admire him so much hes an inspiration to all men hallmark of a winner God bless him
Yeah, I improved greatly as a martial artist even through my 30s. I definitely know the feeling.
My favorite athlete ever. I miss my Brady.
Glad you are enjoying retirement. Now I can just watch football as a fan versus rooting against everyone but him.
He inspired me in my career through his passion.
This dude is the Goat! Especially as a quarterback! & similar to MJ in so many ways because they are both very humble & show their appreciation for other great athletes & that just adds to how great he is
Very well spoken and clear.
@ 7:05, he mentions the "man in the glass". I think it's a reference to the poem "The Guy in the Glass" by Dale Wimbrow. It's a great read.
Tom’s amazing and he is right, be brilliant at the basics, work as a team, be passionate with a great attitude no matter how freaking hard it gets!!! Never complain, Make adjustments quickly and keep going!
Success is tough. Failing or being average is worse!!
7:46 The GOAT quarterback respecting the overall GOAT athlete. Love it.
PBD is really trying to push the enemies narrative
shameful self-promotion! so disrespectful!
seeking validation
@@WithmeVerissimusWhostoned often, it seems like he doesn't understand that you can be successful without being cutthroat
Books don't sell themselves authors sell books
Great interview from both sides! Well done gentleman and much respect
Never heard him talk but love the knowledge!
He’s not only the goat but he’s is also a class act
Brady is the man - super positive human
GJ PBD for being able to call anyone on their bullshit
Wow, Pat really went from MLM to interviewing legends. Gotta respect the hustle, whether it’s foundation is ethical or not 🤷♂️
I respect the guy a whole lot. Even though i hated him while he was playing lol. Im from ATL so theres that💀.
When the 🐐 speaks you listen
I liked Patrick Bel-David right to where he asked Brady a question that Tom had answered very well the first time.
What a great interview, Tom Brady you are a legend! What a man! 💪🏼💪🏼
TOM BRADY THe Greatest of All Time!!! There will never be another like HIM!!!! ❤❤
Pbd is killing it! I admire this man. Great interview!!
Pat was hoping Tom shared the same mentality in this aspect but he doesn’t. He was also using this to promote his new book 😬. Didn’t work here. Still love them both 🤣💪🏾
The fricking GOAT 😍 Boom 💥👊
I really never wanted to like this guy... grew up in n.o saints had drew brees and there was a time when it was tom and drew going up as the best qb for 5-10 years obviously toms body outlasted as he got better with age ... but damn how do you not like this man hes incredible... tom you are the goat
I hated him as a Seahawks fan but honestly his story is inspiring and I think way differently of him. TB is a good dude.
I didnt know until he attended a football game btw Manchester United and Spurs at Oldtrafford and he took picture with goat of Football Cristiano Ronaldo. Ever since I saw in that game I searched him alot and everyone involved with NFL calls him the goat. He is genuinely a gentleman.
This was so hard to read, man. It took me way longer than it should have, and I'm still not 100% sure what you're trying to say.
Godzilla just died trying to read that. Do people actually understand what you are saying?
Sean as a pats fan..I totally understood what yoi whas toying to say..🤣🤣🤣🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐🐐
@@bloconte2796 no clue what you're trying to say either pats fan.
Belichick screwed him over by not giving him the weapons he needed in his later years with the team and then not giving him the money he wanted and deserved is kind of unforgivable.
I’d LOVE to see MJ and TB in an hour interview together!
Incredible interview.. congratulations PBD!!! Tom Brady is the guy all dads need to be to their kids..
@ericbannister1030 Absolutely agree with you!!! Incredible interview, and congrats PBD, whom I've always watched, loved, and respected anyhow due to his never ending wisdom and optimistic outlook and helping our young men of today remember to go back to their roots and if you want to achieve your dreams YOU CAN, you just have to put in the work and never ever give up!!! Keep grinding even through the haters, let them fuel you even harder but always do it for you! We can reach for the stars and grab them if we try our hardest and never let the noise in to stop or block our mindset! Conquer and receive, no one else can ever take our power unless we allow them too! And as for my most favorite athlete, the definite ONE AND ONLY GOAT IN FB HANDS DOWN, he always delivers! His words and advice and the way he Carries himself and never gives up never cease to amaze me!
Thanx mo lewis!
@@GameTime-yj6qvBill said he almost made Brady the starter the first game in 01. He was right there with Drew. They barely lost with Tom at QB after going 5-13 with Bledsoe.
Remember, in the AFC championship game in 2001, Bledsoe led Pats to SB. Brady got hurt in that game.
Jim Carrey's TB impersonation here is so spot on.
Goat interviewing goat
Right….. 🙄
He hasn’t interviewed me yeah
Simp
Culture and practice wins more time than talent. He proved that.
I remember the Kobie interview and then he got on the helicopter. Hopefully Brady is around for a long time to bless us with his extraordinary drive.
Did you really just spell kobe like that
Yes he did
One of the few greats that’s not a narcissist
Lol
PBD really needs to learn that not everyone thinks like him, not everyone is driven by enemies. Just because he is a greedy monster doesn't mean we all have to be.
He’s a social media manipulator, using rhetoric to get generate views, the whole raw raw thing, sometimes it just boils down to simple things, you don’t need this whole list of enemies and quotes, that sounds good on a RUclips short, in the real world do you think the average America is thinking I need a list of my enemies to go work my job tomorrow? No absolutely not, like Brady says he held the man in the mirror accountable F the rest you can only control yourself not the world
I’m driven by enemies does that make me a greedy monster?
@@drewr9580do you run a multi million dollar insurance business and pay your employees crap? Because that's what PBD does.

Process, discipline, work ethic...... if you have those three things you'll be so far ahead regardless of privilege/talent.
This is amazing. Great lessons for any business. Process and consistency.
No shit…
@@PRICEX You blow your father with that mouth?!
He set the bar pretty high
@@notundermywatch3163 Indeed.
God bless everyone and have a good day ❤
God damn I love you Brady this pumped me TF up!!!
TB still looks like he could play a few games. He still has more room 🏆💎🏆💎
My man is passionate still after all these years !
Tom don't give you nothing!! This guy would be a phenomenal politician!!
I miss watching him play. Compassion to winning was on a totally different level from any other player.
This season has not been the same without him.
