IAWP 2014 - Women in Policing

In September 2014, the Winnipeg Police Service, Royal Canadian Mounted Police D Division and the Brandon Police Service will be hosting the 52nd International Association of Women Police (IAWP 2014) Conference. With the theme “The Strength of Many - Embracing Human Rights”, the conference agenda will focus on human rights relative to law enforcement. Approximately 600 delegates from 50 countries are expected to attend.
This video offers some great insight into the challenges and opportunities for women in law enforcement. It also talks about some of the efforts under way to encourage more young women to join the profession.
