Real trip down memory lane...right back to Christmas as a kid when I'd get bits and pieces for Action Man from my family and relatives. Scorpion Tank was the best Christmas present I ever got...now, like every other geezer in my mid 50s, I only get toiletries and underwear 😭
I remember all that stuff in the toy store doesn't seem long ago and now there collector items. Had 1973 action man wish still had it. Along with chieftain tank cannon and boat. Had them right up till early 2000s. Then years later wanted an action man. So in the early months of last year I picked up an 1982 action man talking commander. Last week called into a vintage toy shop thinking I might pick up one came back with 2. The 1973 Field commander and field radio boxed and a G.I. Joe. Duke. US army soldier unboxed both in perfect condition and saved money. Action man Field commander reduced from £195 to £155, G.I. Joe price at £20 she sold me for £10. So picked up a spare army soldier uniform for the price in case I come across a doll without uniform. One of the things she first asked was if I'd caught the bug
Man! The U.K. shows look FAR better than the Pasadena show I was at a few months back. The Joe show was crammed into a small side room while the main robo toy fest was in this GIANT space. And the stuff was at CRAZY prices. $100 for an un-dressed figure! Only saw one for under 100, and I missed out on it. I got some good pickups, but I'd been really hoping for a good figure.

Thanks for the video! 1st time seeing a Capture Copter. Cool camera technique.
I used to love waking up on Christmas morning and seeing all my action man toys pristine in their boxes, they didn't stay in their boxes long.
Some of the best toys ever made 🤟🏻🤟🏻
@@ActionPopCast They were very well made and helped you use your imagination.
Great looking show, shame i couldn't make it, maybe a mixed blessing as I would've spent so much money

Thanks for watching, it really is a slippery slope once you get started, I only wanted a couple now I have about 60 😖😂
@@ActionPopCast That's exactly what I thought just one action man. Suppose you get hooked in the end. A way of reliving your childhood
