That's a hard question though. I like both brands and both models a lot. I own a Kawasaki already. My first bike ever it's an 2008 Z750. Absolute love that bike. So for I bet the Z900 or Z900 SE will be super solid as well. But since I have a Kawasaki already i'd might pick the Honda Hornet 1000 (SP). Best answer obviously is take em both. 😆
@@sural89 for a moment i was like "Ow? 10k for the Z900? But in the Netherlands the Z900 will cost a minimum of 11300 unfortunately. With the CB1000 for 12000 it will not be the price that makes the difference.

My god Smokey, your line selection through the twisties was absolutely all over the place! Close call with that side marker also lucky no oncoming traffic through some blind corners.
I like it. No riding at all this week in Myrtle Beach South Carolina USA. We got snow, like a lot of snow. It's finally melting today. Kids have been off of school. I see it's warm where you are at. Next week, it goes back to normal. I love the bike. The green really sets it off. Look forward to more videos. I don't see any riding gear videos on your channel, but getting ready to do some long distance riding on my Triumph Tiger Gt Explorer 1200, and I see lots of Alpinestar, Triump branded , on sale. I've bought Cannok pants ( $175 onsale) and a Triple sports tritech jacket , $200 off of the $440 price, and Alpinestar Tech 7 Enduro boots. Shoei RF1400 with a Cardo Edge set me back $1100. Great sound and comfortable helmet. Look forward to the next video
No worries , was riding pretty slow anyway 😁 Also looking on the display and looking around talking and explaining things while focusing on the road is not always that easy when following a group. I'm like multitasking 😅
Yes! ❤
Loved your video. Just wanted to know the top speed u can achieve on this machine ? And what time it took to reach 0-100 ? Respect and love From India.
Should I be worried about the weight 😢 also how about the ST765R as it's significantly lighter than this? Mainly for commutes, going to office and sometimes weekend rides. I don't ride very aggressive
The resorts were these product launches take place really highlight, wealth as the key to motorcycling... I suppose $30,000 crotch rockets and $50,000 cruisers.. are not exactly transportation machines of the utilitarian type... That poor boy super bike from Kawasaki... Nah Honda was there last week , Yamaha as well same with MG car event. Roads are perfect around Benidorm , food and stay is pretty cheap outside the season so good for all brands 😊
@@SeanFiskyeah many people are pissed about it that they didn't send me 😅. I get more views as all other journalists from my country combined but it's just different views. The world is changing , everyone is dumping magazines and reading on websites. It's all becoming video in the next couple of years. I have to wait my time , most brands don't see me as important at all and I can't blame them 😁
Isn t a bit heavy for traffic? Im looking for mt 09 sp (194 kg) or triumph street triple rs 765 (188 kg). I like the z900 but i think 213 kg is pretty heavy for commuting and traffic jams.
I started on the S1000XR, and it is a good beginner bike, because it is eay to steer in and out of corners, has good low speed character and shifting is made easy because of the quickshifter. You just have to limit your right hand to your growing skill
I have to come up with an alternative way of making money. Like robbing a bank or becoming a fitness influencer to sell shitty suplements 🤣. There are so many bikes I would like to ride, whether it is this one, or the MT-09 or the MV Agusta Dragster 800, just to name some bikes in the middle class nakeds. They would need to be my second or third or fiftieth bike, though. Really have to win the lottery and stop working to ride bikes all day😁
Start making simple motorcycle videos with bikes from dealerships. They will love some free advertisement .After some time you can ride a new bike every week :-)
It was in my pants pocket , but I had to take a look at my notes about what I needed to say. And for some reason I didn't put it back in my pants pocket but in my jacket pocket 😅🙈
@LifeofSmokey Mabe, it's just me, but the bike and especially the switchgear looked and sound's cheap. For that money I would go for the Hornet. Or the MT09. But again, that is just me.
The BIG question is : Kawasaki Z900 OR Honda Hornet 1000? 😁
MT09sp ;)
Honda hornet 1000 SP 😁. I’ve seen it last weekend and it’s a beauty!

For a stock bike, it sounds amazing

Thanks for the video. You showed thinks that i haven't seen in the other videos about the z900. Many greetings from germany.

Can you give a review on z900 se
Loved your video. Just wanted to know the top speed u can achieve on this machine ? And what time it took to reach 0-100 ?

Top speed no idea , 0-100 is different on how good you can launch it 😅

No you don't feel the weight at all 😊
Hi. It does power wheelie or with the clutch?
Can you make a walkaround video of z900 black color
I am waiting to launch in india 😁😁
Where do I find this in red and black in the USA?
was the tank metal or fiber?
Hey Smokey, great review. I have a question, how tall are you? Im just wondering if i am tall enough for this bike. :)
176cm and 80cm from ground to balls buddy 🙂👌
I had a 2020 z900 loved it. Such a light punchy little monster
What kind of glove u had ? Nice review
100% gloves cause it was a little cold in winter. They are more offroad gloves and don't give any protection when crashing on the road tho 😅
Take care Smokey take care..., we need you 😅
No worries , first Kawasaki event so keeping it normal 😁
Where's the unboxing? 😢😢
Haha working on connections no worries 😊
how much hp has the rain map ?
The right horsepower I don't know , most of the time it's about 40% of full power but the torque curve is totally different
Any hope of this tech going into the zx6r? 😭 Autoblipper, cruise control, 6 axis imu, etc
I believe it will , it's safety related so 😊
Bro can you clear my doubt.. 2024 model clear clucth will suite for new z900 can you reply please
What you mean?
could you please slap that lead designer to ruin the iconic headlight desing
They are Japanese , they all know kung-fu I guess 😅
ruin ? it look better than the previous gen and even better than the first one

coming from a first gen z900 (210kg) to a third gen mt09 (189kg) i could tell you feel it
mt09sp is the best choice for commuting no doubt
189kg is indeed a very light bike for that segment. Sadly Yamaha is not contacting me so I couldn't say 😁
This is a good beginner biker
Why not sound check first???
Good question....
Great video Smokey! Greetings from Holland!🇳🇱 Of beter gezegd…. Groeten vanuit Nederland kerel! Humor van je is top😅
Haha thanks Bob!! Eerste begin met Kawasaki is gemaakt 😁👌
I wouldn't call 125 HP bike a beginners bike. I had a 650 bandit with 85 HP. It was plenty fast and it weighed more than this z900.
In a world with 160-200hp I would think like 125 is nice to start with. 😅
