I have almost every color of the Beam paints. I’ve never heard of Case for Making but it appears that they have some really nice colors. Thanks 🙏 for the demo 🎉

I really really want to love CfM, I do. But I swear, they really need to add more gum arabic to their recipe! the paints are powder in the pan and rub off the page. They also seem a little chalky and less vibrant but I can write that off to being handmade. I even bought a few more pans several months after my first order to see if it was just the batch I got. Sigh.... Beautiful colors but frustrating for me. I hope you have better luck!

Completely understand about that and I think it depends on how you use them. You could try adding a wetting agent to your water and that might set them on the paper a little more (synthetic ox gall for example), but I haven't tried that. I'm often using these in mixed media where I end up usually sealing them in with acrylic products. Also, I just finally tried their indigo and it doesn't seem to have the problems you described and is a gorgeous color.

I really want to try these paints! Do you have the same issue with the paints rubbing off with your most recent purchase? I wonder if they've improved their formula since. Thanks 🥰

@@floralsbywendy these particular colors do not rub off after they dry, but I have purchased some colors in the past that do rub off-I think it is very color dependent and there may be some variation due to the fact that these are handmade.

@MysteryArts thank you! Maybe they've changed their formula over the years I might try a few pans 🥰
