Woohoo! I was able to get the star with Lu Xun! Followed the same things you did here...I think it hinges on defeating Mi Fang and Fu Shiren to open up the checkpoints before they can withdraw. That keeps Lu Meng safe, regardless of whether you use him or not. :)
Yo man...Ur videos rock...I've beaten wei nd jin. ..then when i got stuck on Wu i found Ur videos...u at least give audio not just video of the battles...which is most helpful in figuring out the stage....only have shu story left...looking forward 2 Ur star guide on that...thanks alot...can't wait 4 dynasty warriors 9!!
So the key is defeat all Mi Fang and Fu Shiren. Those traitors run away when I fight with one of them. :v Maybe this is the new version of this scene 'cause I play DW8XL:CE. :D Thank you for your guide. :3
You don't have to you can actually ignore them both and go after Guan Yu So long as you don't play as lu Meng and keep his health over half he will survive
This has to be the most single annoying thing I've ever done on a video game, you defeat the generals and as soon as you get to last one he runs off before you can even move, I'm about to smash my PS4 into bits!!!!!!!
I thought of myself as a smart-ass. I let my other generals fight and defeat the general who was in controle of the siege weapons. Guess what? Even if they are offline Lu Meng gets his injury and dies! What a cheap trick to being able to get a star only with the side gates. Thank you for the guide!
Better version: Lu Meng: I... leave... the rest... to... you... (faints) Lu Xun: DADDY NO! (Sad music plays, then record scratches as Lianshi suddenly comes to the both of them) Lianshi: What's the big fuss? He's just tired killing generals with a wound, and he fainted because he was so stressed. Help me lift him to a doctor. Lu Xun: Thank God. (Both people lift Lu Meng and scene fades to black.)
Hey Jerz, thanks for the guides. I have a question/request, mind doing any mission with Lu Xun wearing his DW7 costume? You see, I noticed that in my game (XL PS4 version) whenever I pick either of Lu Xun's DW7 costumes, the screen can get a bit glitchy when I start to run or walk around and I don't know why. They're kind of like small spots or shadows flying all over the place. You don't have to record or upload it but could you check if your game is also the same? You can just try choosing Lu Xun in Ambition Mode and walk around the camp/base and check if you notice anything weird on the screen. Thanks.
This game is broken on PS now. When you defeat the gatekeeper and that second base captain to get that second gate open it doesn’t open and I’ve doing this shit for 2 hours straight. Fuck this stage.
Thanks, I thought I did everything right the first time, (I did mostly everything you did myself) but I didn't defeat Mi Fang and the other guy. I don't really understand how that works against you. It's not like Lu Meng gets stabbed or poisoned if you don't beat them. All it says in the description is make sure lu meng survives and beat it. It doesn't say anything about also beating those two. It's not very clear... :/
I managed to complete this to earn the Star as Lianshi, because she's my main favorite character to play as in the game (since DW7). 😅 It was a bit tricky, because I had the game on Normal, but with the halberd weapon equipped as Lianshi, no one stand a chance, lol. 🤣 Oh, and because of why she's my favorite character to play as, is because she's my main DW Waifu (2nd waifu is Wang Yuanji). 😘
Shantelle Jade You need to be very quick in the first step. Defeat those two generals in a split second so that they don't withdraw from the battle. I strongly recommend bringing different affinity weapons and use storm rush to dispose the enemies quickly. It will take several tries but you will get there.

No it doesn't. I did so and as soon as I was hit by an arballist arrow Lu Meng died.

I'm playing again from the beginning and I have to say that it would be much more challenging to get the weapon and the objective at the same time 😂

How do you do so much damage? Your able to one hit gatecaptains and most minor officers, it takes me ages to kill them on normal difficulty
Change the difficulty to beginner
