    Dude, you always do what you can to help your neighbors, and these videos sharing what you've learned with the world, you have a healthy, happy family...I obviously don't know you personally, but these are not "introvert" qualities. The fact that you're worried about being too introverted kinda adds to the likelihood that you're not one.

    Thank you for stressing safety and caution when cutting anything not on the ground. My brother in law ended up in a wheel chair because he was cutting a big limb and it bounced up and hit him.

    Great update video buddy! Really like the room you finished up, looks great. My snowblower is in the same state right now...thankfully most of the snow should be done for the year. Cheers buddy😆

    Glad to see you back. I have the same issue that if it's down but not split it just won't be dry. I burn indoors compared to my crew with outdoor boilers so they struggle with the idea of this quest for "dry" wood. Planning my garden now...spring is around the corner!

    Doing a great job Eric. Yes, I remember that storm in 2011. I still have trees around here that are bent all the way over just like the ones you showed.

    I understand when it gets cold and wet, I start to renovate another room in my home. 8 June every year I give myself 6 months to finish it then have 6 months rest before I start the next project. I don't like winter but this gives me something to look towards. Before you know its coming into summer again. Love your channel

    Here in NE Kansas we haven't had a decent snow in 4 yrs. Everything is dry as a bone right now. Ripe for brush fires. Two weeks ago the neighbor 3 miles away lost his house to brush fire caused by brush hog striking a spark on rocks!

    Hey, Eric. Do you think you could put together a video (or point me at it, if you've already made one) about your whole firewood storage process? Like field to pole barn to... & how long at each & when you move it? We're getting ready to rebuild our whole system this summer, and it has me really curious about the best long-term system. Thanks!

    I had that same issue on our cub! But I had no way on getting it back to the garage. It was a carb issue. I took the float bowl off and clean that up and then I put a new spark plug in with adjusted gap and it fired right up.... I don't know why that would be the issue but it was. Maybe junk in the float? Maybe that will be a starting point for you. But totally the same thing that happened to me, but it was -20 out when my died. Lol!, take care bud

    Hey Eric, I know this is an older video, but it reminded me of something I wanted to ask you about bringing firewood into the house. I’m sorry if this sounds like a wimpy question, I just wondered what if anything do you do about NOT bringing in spiders and bugs into the house that may have nested onto the wood. The reason I ask is I’ve noticed that after bringing in a load of wood into my house and stack it , after a day or so when it’s warmed up with the house, I’ve noticed spiders coming out of hibernation and crawling across the living room floor. Not sure if you have that problem, but I’ve started to brush off all of those spider cocoons/nest before bringing into the house now. Wondering if you or anyone else has this problem?

    Pretty good video. That's a bummer about your cub breaking down. Check for spark with a spark checker. Think you should get a backup plow tractor or a walk behind snow blower?

      I have a yamaha warrior. Not the most ideal machine for the work I want to get done. Been really thinking about picking up an old 4x4 down the road.

    • @MountainCrestFarm
      @MountainCrestFarm 6 лет назад +1

      Looking at your land you probably don't need a 4x4. I have a 2001 Yamaha Big Bear 400 2wd with some pretty aggressive rear tires (Super Swampers) that I have had for two years. I picked it up for $800 and it needed a battery, throttle cable, and a carb kit to make it run well...That's it. I added a Smittybilt XRC 3.0 2500 lb winch that cost $99.00 on sale, mounted to a $44.00 KFI mounting plate. For less than $1200.00 I have a machine that makes me able to do what needs doing in the mountains of north Georgia on my itty bitty farm, raising pigs. Dragging good sized logs, winching the ones I can't drag, stretching fencing, hauling feed...Saves my butt. It makes a 63 year old man with 4 heart attacks behind him able to keep doing what I love.
