OH BOY I did not expect this game to be so bad. Thanks to all of you that stuck with me while I suffered through this game on twitch! If you want to hang out in the future, come give a follow! www.twitch.tv/jarek4gamingdragon
SpunkGargleWiiWii. :D
Would you also check on the Call of Duty Wii ports?
As always another great video.
I had this on the PSP and it was a disappointment. Heroes 1 was a hidden gem. It had good aesthetic with lots of color. Each level was open ended and let you attack each objective in your own way. There was a single player version of the multiplayer called skirmish mode that let you choose your map, character, and weapon for a free for all against bots. All of this made a competent FPS on a mobile platform. Heroes 2 removed basically all of the good features. No skirmish, linear levels, and bland colors. Overall it was just a poor experience.
If you wanna save your sanity from playing the Wii, try playing the most hardest Medal of Honor game for the PS2 and Xbox: Medal of Honor European Assault
By this stage, the average gamer has killed more Nazis than the entire red army.
Lol probably for me about 6 times the amount
The main selling point for this game was the massive 32 player multiplayer. The wii just had no other games that were at that scale and it was a blast to play.
Exact reason I bought it back than it was fun at the time
This is the only reason I bought the game back in the day. It was the only redeeming quality in my experience.
This. Ignoring this is ignoring the main selling point of this game. 32 player online that from what I remember was fast and fun with a great take on K/D count was great.
Kinda the main selling point. Remember, online still wasn't mainstream and games still dependent on its offline offers to gather attention. If there's no internet, then what can it give?
Even Heroes 1 still told you it had some offline offers to have a reason to buy it for offline players.
*Heroes 1* offers a nice, explorative Campaign, fun uniform rewards and a Skirmish mode for offline multiplayer fun. Even if you never played online like me, Heroes is still fun!
*Heroes 2* is just Heroes 1 but less, with a more linear and boring campaign (despite the more modern mechanics), no uniform rewards and no Skirmish *(and no Skirmish hurts a lot to me).*
I will give you this: Heroes 2 online looks more comfortable thanks to its health regeneration. I remember how much was a hassle to deal with no health regen in Heroes 1 Skirmish. There's medkits but only a few...
But why Heroes 2 only has 6 maps compared to Heroes 1 12*???
And I played the PSP version, which now seeing is the superior version (unless you like motion controls and mini-games).
Although, I will give you this: Heroes 2 kinda looks like Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 ('11) before MW3 ('11) was a thing. That's hilarious!
Jarek: “The Mp40 should sound like this:”
Ad: “NERDS!”
This game looked mind-blowing on the PSP. I was so impressed by the graphics and the sensation of playing what felt like a console FPS on a handheld that I could overlook some of the gameplay shortcomings.
Pistol sniping nazis from across the map after spending 30 seconds lightly tapping each face button somehow never got old
Yes. The Psp version is better than the wii cause I played it before
Agreed, I really like this one on PSP
Yes
The clown closets combined with slow health regen still made it frustrating nonetheless
Spunkgarglewiiwii
Indeed
Perfect
Does that guy even _like_ video games?
The MP40 in this game, sounded like a damn modern assualt rifle
Yeah, it's actually sad that the MP40 is both firing faster and with a bigger magazine than the Thompson. Same damage too and I can bring more rounds, why would I even keep the Thompson? Also, the weapon sandbox is pretty limited and the sights on the weapon are... Not good. Most of the time they aren't even aligned, worst offender is the STG-44. Speaking of which, the Sturmgewehr operates as an *open bolt* gun. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
“assault” rifle 😟
@@moonrise6806 aCtuAlLy 🤓
@@khoado2060 yeah assault rifles and assault weapons are different. looking now idk why i didn’t say it was a sub machine gun tbh
“There’s sprint in this game, but only in the multiplayer.”
Call of duty 3 says hello
I honestly thought of COD 3 when he said that also haha
Big Red One was like that too
@@Mendosa666 I thought and still think Big Red One has a great campaign.
But there is sprint in single player on the PSP
mutiplayer on this game was so fun back in the day
I remember the 32 player online multiplayer being impressive and fun at the time for a wii shooter.
FACTS BRO
also it ran at locked 60fps which is incredible.
The reason this game is often remembered so fondly is because of the multiplayer. It wasn't even that good, but it had server lists and made it VERY easy to play with friends, without the need for long friend codes. Eventually we got The Conduit, some of the call of duties and that Goldeneye remake, but at this point we didn't have any "real" multiplayer shooters and this promised to give us a taste of a multiplayer fps that didn't feel like crappy nintendo online multiplayer.
I used to play this online a lot. It was really jank but I had fun.
There was a glitch where you would just be randomly invincible to everything in multiplayer and it happened to me once. Also a lot of out of bounds glitches.
I remember shooting the wall to try and spell out my wii friend code to people so we could add each other lmao.
DUDE SAME !!!!!!!! thought i was the only one haha i would type out my aim username 🤣🤣🤣
Dang Jarek, did you really have to use 50 BMG Depleted Uranium Explosive rounds to destroy my On Rail Shooters?
He's wearing THE HAT, meaning that someone will get hurt...
The only one getting hurt is Jarek, because he continually subjects himself to torture by playing shitty games for our entertainment.
The first one on PSP was actually pretty good. Some good memories with Heroes 1, and the SOCOM games + Twisted Metal.
1:45. Me: okay so it's a badly graphed metal wood. Jarek: that's supposed to be wood. Me: ah
tbh i thought it was sheet metal when i first saw it
As a child who has played both the first and second game , the second game was fancier BUT the first one was fucking great , also i played this on the psp also ...
The weapon models are straight ripped from MoH: Airborne tho.
Nope, it's from European Assault/Vanguard MOH series, not Airborne
Yes very much so, the sound bites are as well from Vanguard and European Assault
Playing this on the actual Wii was hell for me, I enjoyed playing it like a lite gun arcade shooter though
If the next one is Red Steel, hoooo boy, I am sorry. That one may actually be worse off than this game.
Now Red Steel 2 however. That is a really good and underrated gem.
It's a shame they had to even associate Red Steel 2 with the first one, it feels like a completely-different game with the only common element being sword combat.
@@chemergency Wouldn't be surprised if association with the first is why the second didn't sell very well. Shame too.
Seriously, Red Steel 2 is basically Shadow Warrior 2013, but with even better swordplay. It is definitely a must play imo. ;)
Same thing happened with The Conduit 2 sadly. There should've been a 3rd game.
@@Gruntvc This one is especially painful. I'll just copy what another site said regarding its developer.
After being approached by Nintendo for a partnership for their work on The Conduit' and its sequel to help round out their library for the then-upcoming Wii U with a new first-shooter IP after Retro Studios had finished the Metroid Prime Trilogy and had shifted focus to Donkey Kong Country Returns, an anonymous member of High Voltage's staff leaked sensitive documents to the press (allegedly as revenge for poor working conditions at the studio), which caused Nintendo to back out of the deal after High Voltage couldn't determine who leaked it.
Coupled with the very long (and very expensive) development that ''The Grinder'' ran into and never found its way out of, and Conduit 2 flopping and killing off its franchise in the process, the team was left with no other choice but to refocus their efforts on the porting side of the business."
As someone who grew up on the Wii, the reason this was the best Wii FPS was the 32 person online multiplayer (no other game came close to that many players). Well balanced weapons and great maps. That's why people loved this game. This was my favorite game growing up as a kid, and I met a lot of people playing it that I still talk to to this day. Not really fair to just judge the single player. That being said the servers have been closed for about 5 years :(
So what you're saying is that the enemies start coming and they don't stop coming?
the game was so good on psp though, can't deny that
Yes you can. It was just straight bad. Hell its the same game like on the wii. Just cause its on psp that doesn't mean its forgivable. Psp has better shooters.
It wasn't good. It was mediocre at best. Yeah, you didn't have frustrating motion controls, but you have the same frustrating situations and you have to fight with PSP controls.
@@piergiorgiocaroli9201 everyone had to fight with those controls tho bro
Heroes 1 was better.
@@aceyyyy937 Yeah, and that's a bad thing, not a good thing.
I don't believe you need novelty to justify the existence of a game, what you do need is enjoyable gameplay. Here we are up shit creek.
This game makes Medal of Honor Warfighter look like a masterpiece in comparison.
I miss that game lol. Duos was fun
And yet i feel like i’d play this over warfighter
War Fighter was a great game but everyone loves to hate it and for what reason?
@@farmerboy9029 For a reason that it was boring and generic. I played it when it just came out and was impressed, probably because I was around 13 at that time. Tried revisiting it recently and well... its just not fun. Its not a bad game, but it doesnt stand out at all. Although I still like MoH 2010
@@farmerboy9029 No....the multiplayer was fun, that's it but not the campaign
Played the game when i was 12 on my PSP, was totaly blown away at the time and had no idea this had a Wii release
Title: The WORST Medal of Honor
Just wait til you look at Medal of Honor Vanguard on Wii
As much as i loved vanguard I rly want to see him tear it a new asshole
I actually like Medal of Honor Vanguard on PS2 along with Heroes 2 on PSP
I think Vanguard is a pretty decent game, the only problem is motion controls and I don't have a PS2
I played the vanguard on the wii (not on a emulator)
About Motions controls
You only use them to aim
Its bad but I've seen worse
But the game is very unfair
Im currently replaying the game in hard mode and its really bad
Im in the 4th level
There is a part where I need to get a bazooka bullet and a bazooka
Getting the bullet is easy but after that it becomes impossible
After that moment it feels like a enemy spawns whenever you turn back
Also there is nothing to take cover so you need to lean (you get shot when you crouch or stand up)
And when you lean you can't see anything because of the damn grass! (grass texture is cool btw its just a bit pixelated)
And the worst part is that you die after getting 2 shots
Only 2
Not even 4 or 3
No just 2
I actually made a video about it but its turkish
Jarek should review the "Army of Two" games
which aren't that bad.
@@AllGamingStarred the first and second game
@@Zombie_3030 which again, are not bad
@@AllGamingStarred Army Of Two and Army Of Two : The 40th day. The first 2 games. The 3rd game is not great
You should totally try Goldeneye 007 for the Wii, it's actually probably one of if not the best one
Goldeneye but its set in the 2000s and the real villains are the bankers that caused the 2008 housing market crash?
Yes please! That game was my first "real" FPS, that and Quantum of Solace 007 for the Wii. Both were mediocre games on PC but were excellent on the Wii!
Jarek : It should sound like this
RUclips : *play ads at that exact moment*
Me : Well it does sound like I am racking a gun before raiding ads agency.
8:47 the fact that I'm still confused after you explained it shows how shitty it must be
MOHH1 was a fantastic game, especially the multiplayer.
Skirmish Mode on the first Medal of Honor Heroes for the PSP was the ultimate sitting-on-the-toilet and on-the-bus game.
I now got my mayflash sensor bar and my wii remote out and enjoy my old wii games in 1080p thanks to your suggestion.
Great video, like always, btw.
The best Wii "shooter" was without a doubt the Metroid Prime trilogy- from what I understand the motion controls in those games feel so natural and only added to the experience and immersion.
After the Metroid games, the next best one I believe is the Wii port of COD4 Modern Warfare.
Now when you talk how sometimes game gets hard I immediately remember my pain playing through this levels. Even though I still thought this was ok game on PSP. We didn't have many fps there.
The PSP version was actually really fun
Yeah, I played it alot and it was a load of fun for a handheld shooter before I got a switch
But still stupidly hard to finish. Shame, I was at the last section of the last level before I gave up on it.
Don’t care what anyone says, loved this game on psp and the Wii.
Excited to see Medal of Honor vanguard covered, Jarek will make a good paratrooper.
I remember having it on psp and really liking it, but the difficulty was sometimes too high
Are you planning on reviewing Painkiller maybe? I love those games.
I have this on the PSP. Its linear campaign is nowhere near as intriguing or as interesting as the first game's open maps with multiple objectives, and the game even omits multiplayer bots for some reason.
The same happens with Battlefiled post Bad Company.
but in my opinion it was one of the the best FPS i've played on my PSP few years back
It seems like a panzershrek would be easier to aim in real life than that shit
It’s funny how much I enjoyed this game as a kid on the PSP. I had heroes 1 and 2. I just had a blast lol.
Not sure if you mentioned it in you video as I’m few minutes in, but the 32-Online Multiplayer was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had as a 12 year old. The comments itself was fun to interact with on the RUclips community and Wii Message boards of MoHH2. I miss playing with some of my sweaty friends on that game. And to Cronnuggs, fuck you for always throwing nades and running to a corner :)
The goldeneye remake is a pretty fucking good game. The multiplayer is still online and people still play it, too!
i think the weapon models actually look pretty good, even though i think they are reused from airborne and vanguard (which might explain why the MP40 has its sights misaligned like it did in airborne)
and yeah, it is kind of odd that a sequel to a PSP exclusive game came out on both the PSP and the Wii. the graphics are certainly better on the Wii, even without the higher resolution of this emulator (also both medal of honor heroes 1 & 2 should have been ported to the PS2)
Oh man I remember playing this way too march on my psp
Great memories a
Jarek you should play medal of honor vanguard and battle for the pacific they're fps wii games too
1:56 Or as DWTerminator would put it, "Brown and Gray and Realistic..."
also, this is just a recycled animation and model from Medal of Honor Vanguard (PS2), with added new gloves, and new story
We played this with a friend over a weekend. But we were high as a kite and took turns, i can remember a point where you need to row a boat...
Gotta get some beer to watch this. :D
Or was it COD... I vaguely remember Pripyat sniping and bomb defusal.... I blame reefer madness.
this was my first online FPS and boy did i play this a shit ton... this game will aways have a soft spot in my heart. playin this after school along with mario galaxy. 32 player online was mind blowing to me lol and you were even able to have your own gamertag and there were leaderboards too... for the wii, that was huge. no other game had that. And i remember exchanging my aim username by tbagging to get their attention, than shooting the bullets on the wall to write my name 🤣 there wasnt a way for voice chat so thats how it was done... fun times
Yeah I loved this game I had a Wii(until I got a ps3) and my brother had 360. I wanted a fps so I got this game. I loved it even tho some parts of the story was absolutely shit. Got it for Christmas one year
@@keenfuture Dude it was so much fun. Made a lot of friends on it haha
Great video! Rip city baby!
I haven’t even really played Wii games but all of these reviews are entertaining as hell to watch
Question Jarek how did you get the file for the emulator did you pull it off the disk or did you use another source?
Yo Jarek, how goes it? I enjoy your channel immensely. Can you do a review of either Alan Wake and/or Alan Wake American Nightmare? I love both those games and its be so cool to see what you have to say about it. Thatd be awesome bro. Thanks and stay gold my dude
Rail shooters are pretty great, like obviously turret sections are boring but there's a lot of fun setpieces and reactions you get with stuff like Time Crisis.
I was hoping the good rail shooters on wii would get ported to switch because of the gyro controls
I look forward to his videos ever Friday. 👍
I remember enjoying it a lot as a kid. Interesting to get a retrospective on it now.
What are your thoughts on the mortar sequence in that game because as a kid I dread that sequence everytime.
Oh yeah don't forget the mind field segment as well where you have to play trial-and-error just to walk through a Minefield that seems Rng at times tbh.
I'm enjoying these wii game reviews think im gonna set my computer up for this.
Thank you, THANK YOU, for talking about the war being much larger than just Germany and the US's involvement. Not just that, but there are so many more interesting, and really cool weapons that were deployed in that war, than the standard, generic, crap that so many companies put into these WWII games. They could have so much more depth. The Thompson and MP40's are NOT the only cool SMG's used in that war. There's an absolute arsenal that the game devs just haven't tapped into.
That's why I like COD2 and COD WAW because they are not only have US and Germany. They have British Army in former, Japanese Army in later and Russian in both.
I actually played this in my PSP, I have a love hate relationahip with this game, I love it because its one of the few WW2 shooters for the PSP but I hate it because its hard af expecially on the last mission.
Hi Jarek, Liking this change from the usual with the Wii titles. Hit up the Dolphin emulation a bit myself recently. Happened to still have a copy of Call of Duty 3 for the Wii. Its alright but I find the controls for that a bit frustrating when you need to drive a vehicle. Doesn't look as hard to control as this game though.
I picked this game up for cheap because I heard it was good, and the 32 player multiplayer sounded really cool for a Wii game. But I played it and was like nah this ain’t it and I thought I was crazy because it got so much praise
14:01 "it should sound like this" tiktok ad comes up
One of the more modern Ghost Recon games (XB360/PS3 days) has terrible instances of clown closets. One of the missions is that you’re supposed to hold off a point with incoming hostiles all around you. They give you a timer to hold out, but the mission or checkpoint doesn’t actually go through until you manually walk over to the mission marker. You can be sitting on the point for almost an hour, slaughtering infinitely spawning enemies before realizing that you have to walk over to the marker yourself to stop the clown closets. RussianBadger did a video on this particular GR game.
Thanks jarek Friday night made i loved this on psp v2 nuke would if been f up if they made it keep up the great work man i enjoy the vids very much.
Wow! Glad to see you kept your sanity throughout. Honestly, I don't know why people think the only way to discuss any game is to fully complete it first.
They had billy bob work on this game every tuesday.
Are you considering MoH Vanguard or are you tossing that aside because it was also on the ps2?
any thoughts on Eye Divine Cybermancy? it's a pretty unique game, would love to see you cover it
The sound of RO2's MP40 is so ingrained in my brain. I hope RO3 comes out one day
Ghost Squad is one of the most fun Wii titles. Im not a big fan of rail shooters but it's arcadey fun.
Are you going to review Metroid Prime 3 for the Feburawii??
I remember Medal Of Heroes 1 and 2 on PSP and really enjoyed them
Had a blast playing this on the PSP when younger but it has alot of issues, especially weird difficulty spikes in the campaign, mis-aligned iron sights and weird oversized cover hitboxes ( especially on the first levels) , bad checkpoints like you said and AI that sometimes just keep spawning ( happens way less on the PSP version somehow? )
Also its weird but it seems that the Wii version has alot of weird differences like that, like the muzzle flash isn't as annoying on the PSP, and you can sprint in the campaign.
I mostly played the multiplayer which had alot of hackers and out of bounds glitches, i even learned some from players, it was fun but really...bad.
I don't want to defend this game in the slightest but is it possible that the audio directionality issue was cased by the emulation?
How do they consistently fuck up sights?
This game came out in 2007, a great year for the FPS genre. We had COD 4, Halo 3, Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, and even Medal of Honor Airborne (to a lesser extent). Heroes 2 was never going to make any noise with that kind of competition.
will you do Farcry Vengeance later?
Have you played Metroid Prime yet on Dolphin yet? Its modded with mouse controls and its pretty damn good.
When the Panzerschreck is actually an M9 Bazooka
I had that PSP version of MoH Heroes, I played that game so much. I think it was the first online multiplayer shooter I ever played, I remember really enjoying it. Too bad my PSP broke a long time ago

I played this in highschool on the PSP. I played the multiplayer at least 500 hours. There was some fun glitches we used to make custom matches and get inside parts of the maps, played tons of "ranked" games where we would keep score and make "clans" and talk trash about COD using the awful chat feature. It was a blast and the first real online game I played. Sad to see it was so poorly implemented on the Wii
I had this and played it to completion since I didn't have an xbox like my friends. Single player was a slog and I barely remember it. The multiplayer had like 1 guy online that could glitch onto a roof and shoot you with a bazooka.
It was better than nothing but boy did I enjoy playing cod4 at my friend's houses
Are you gonna do the call of duty wii games??
Maybe next month or the coming months you tackle NDS Exclusive FPS games, such as Dementium: The Ward, Dementium 2 (Got a bad PC port), MOON, C.O.R.E, GoldenEye: Rogue Agent, Etc.
Can you review the HL2 mod: Snowdrop Escape after Februarwii?
I wonder if you're gonna review the game's psp version and also the first game.
Cant you use a Wii Pro Controller with this game?
Well this review is about it on the wii. What about the psp? Im 14 today and i still have my old psp that my dad had mostly demo games but i still had fun with it even now when there's games like genshin impace because the old psp games let me go back to simpler times and now recently my baby brother got a hand of my psp because when he saw it he saw it and did not want to stop crying so my step mom gave it to him and he smashed the battery luckily here in the Philippines its quite easy to get your hands on a new battery and battery cover i also saw this game while browsing. I havent played the first game only the demo wich is more like a battle royale in a single small map. Should i buy the umd of this game?
this video is 2 years old lol did you really think anyone would answer? did you ever buy the game?
Weird timing that you uploaded this video, because the day before you uploaded it, I decided to play the game for the first time in years on the PSP. It was just as bad as I remember. However, I will admit, the reload animations looked really good for a PSP game.
Jesus that muffle flash... More like muzzle nukes.
another thing I love especially whit medel of honor is the D-day its 10 dude on a beach. we see 3 landing craft approach the beach at the start each holding about 8 people.
one gets blown up before we reach the beach and then half the team on yours dies before they make it off. so where the other boat well if your fast and look to the left as soon as your giving control again where the only surviving boat landed you see that it will open the ramp and all 8 soldier will jog out and stand in front the the craft for 1 sec before dying on there own. (yes they was only coded to leave the craft and wait to die for some reason).
from then at 3 points in the map 2 soldier will randomly spawn run along a path and die at specific point (whit no consideration to where the MG nests are shooting) as soon as they die and disapers two new ones will spawn at the one of the 3 spawn point and repeat.
COD was a bit better from what I recall at least the Russians would spawn in larger group so it looked like there was more going on. whit 2 groups that ran circles on the D-day Stalingrad mission in such a way that it looked like there was new groups coming all the way running of to the side or something.
but yee this is just sad even today D-day its 20 guys on a beach.
I remember this game, mad nostalgia
Definetly the strong point of the game was its multiplayer, 32 players was insane for me at the time. I had so much fun with this game. Fun fact, this has been the one and only EA game I have bought in my life.
had so much fun playing online wit this game man..
I want to see a game based around the Bob Semple tank
