  • We invite you to join us for Conversations with Jewish Believers In Jesus hosted by Jeff Morgan. In this episode, Jeff talks with Ruth Rosen about why it’s so difficult for many to follow the God of the Bible.
As the daughter of Jews for Jesus founder Moishe Rosen, Ruth Rosen was raised with an appreciation for both her Jewish heritage and her faith in Jesus. She received a degree in biblical studies from Biola College in Southern California. Today, Ruth is a staff writer and editor with Jews for Jesus and, as such, has helped many other Jewish believers in Jesus tell their stories. That includes writing her father’s biography, Called to Controversy, which she says was “one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my life.” To purchase a copy, simply visit: www.jplbooks.com/products/cal...

i was obsessed with Jews for Jesus in my twenties. I felt a connection because I was really beginning to know who I was in Christ. I worked in the Jewish Community as an Architect and it was a joy. Then I came across JFJ in my studies. It met a need for me as a gentile to relate to the community. I still have the Book that Moshe wrote and ordered broadside etc. I am happy to reconnect with RUclips. 😇

@newcreationincheist1423 You say you love God but if you do, you will do the only thing he asks of us, that we place our faith in his Son, Jesus Christ, our Saviour and Redeemer! He kept the Law perfectly and then willingly became the perfect Passover Lamb sacrifice for the sins of the world, so that when we by faith are placed “in him,” we are also counted as righteous as he is. There is no other salvation under heaven than in Jesus Christ our Lord.

@@newcreationinchrist1423 It’s not enough to believe as the scriptures say that demons believe and tremble, right? I have a friend who is a Seventh-Day Adventist who admits that he believes in Jesus but he does not trust him for his salvation. He believes that some of his salvation is up to him to earn with a variety of obedience and doing good works; and even that does not give him the peace that God wants us to have, knowing that Jesus has done it all for us so that all we have to do is want it credited to our account by placing our faith in him. I say all this because I want as many people as possible to come to the knowledge of the truth and be saved into the kingdom of God’s dear Son (Colossians 1:13 KJV)! ❤️

At the core of it all we are in a broken world and we live in broken bodies but our maker has made us in his image, because of that everyone has an element of faith built into them, we were made to be loved and love our maker for his glory. The only way to have that is to surrender to him and his plan. His son is the bridge, the way out of our brokenness. The blood atonement of Jesus the Messiah, God's rescue plan for a broken world and broken people. His love and mercy draws us to him. 🕊️🌾📖 Thank you Lord Jesus the Christ for saving us from from ourselves.

17 Now as He was going out on the road, one came running, knelt before Him, and asked Him, “Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?”
18 So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. 19 You know the commandments: ‘Do not commit adultery,’ ‘Do not murder,’ ‘Do not steal,’ ‘Do not bear false witness,’ ‘Do not defraud,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’ ”
20 And he answered and said to Him, “Teacher, all these things I have kept from my youth.”
21 Then Jesus, looking at him, loved him, and said to him, “One thing you lack: Go your way, sell whatever you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, take up the cross, and follow Me.”
22 But he was sad at this word, and went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions

Elohim from Genesis 1 is God of the Bible.
Yahweh Elohim from Genesis 2 is the false God of the Bible.
The main theme of the Bible is knowing Good from Evil.

    • @NotNecessarily-ip4vc
      @NotNecessarily-ip4vc 10 месяцев назад

Theology comes from combining two Greek words: theos, meaning God, and logos, meaning word or rational thought.
[The Word is Elohim from Genesis 1]
(not to be confused with Yahweh Elohim from Genesis 2)
      Compare John 1: 1-5 with Genesis 1: 1-5:
      John 1: 1-5
      Names of God Bible
      The Word Becomes Human
1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was already with God in the beginning.
3 Everything came into existence through him. Not one thing that exists was made without him.
4 He was the source of life, and that life was the light for humanity.
5 The light shines in the dark, and the dark has never extinguished it.
      Genesis 1: 1-5
      Names of God Bible
      The Creation
1 In the beginning Elohim created heaven and earth.
2 The earth was formless and empty, and darkness covered the deep water. The Ruach Elohim was hovering over the water.
3 Then Elohim said, “Let there be light!” So there was light. 4 Elohim saw the light was good. So Elohim separated the light from the darkness. 5 Elohim named the light day, and the darkness he named night. There was evening, then morning-the first day.

[Yahweh Elohim "the LORD God", adopted character from Genesis 2, accepts a child sacrifice]:
(not to be confused with Elohim "God" or Ruach Elohim "Spirit of God" from Genesis 1)
      Judges 11
      Names of God Bible
      Jephthah’s Vow
29 Then the Ruach Yahweh came over Jephthah. Jephthah went through Gilead, Manasseh, and Mizpah in Gilead to gather an army. From Mizpah in Gilead Jephthah went to attack Ammon.
30 Jephthah made a vow to Yahweh. He said, “If you will really hand Ammon over to me, 31 then whatever comes out of the doors of my house to meet me when I return safely from Ammon will belong to Yahweh. I will sacrifice it as a burnt offering.”
32 So Jephthah went to fight against Ammon. Yahweh handed the people of Ammon over to him. 33 He defeated them from Aroer to Minnith and on to Abel Keramim, 20 cities in all. It was a decisive defeat. So the Ammonites were crushed by the people of Israel.
34 When Jephthah went to his home in Mizpah, he saw his daughter coming out to meet him. She was dancing with tambourines in her hands. She was his only child. Jephthah had no other sons or daughters. 35 When he saw her, he tore his clothes in grief and said, “Oh no, Daughter! You’ve brought me to my knees! What disaster you’ve brought me! I made a foolish promise to Yahweh. Now I can’t break it.”
36 She said to him, “Father, you made a promise to Yahweh. Do to me whatever you promised since Yahweh has punished your enemy Ammon.” 37 Then she said to her father, “Do me a favor. Give me two months for my friends and me to walk in the mountains and mourn that I will never have an opportunity to get married.”
38 “Go!” he said, and he sent her off for two months. She and her friends went to the mountains, and she cried about never being able to get married. 39 At the end of those two months she came back to her father. He did to her what he had vowed, and she never had a husband. So the custom began in Israel 40 that for four days every year the girls in Israel would go out to sing the praises of the daughter of Jephthah, the man from Gilead.

The Bible can be confusing unless you’re aware of the fact that Israel lost her last chance of receiving a kingdom of her own in Acts 28:28-31 KJV and at that point everyone on earth not already saved became a pagan, “Jews” included! God did away with all prior gospels of salvation and introduced a gospel with no works or law keeping at all as his gift to the world - Ephesians 2:8&9 KJV - with forgiveness of sin (Ephesians 1:7) and eternal security (Ephesians 4:30 KJV). We have become “the faithful in Christ Jesus” of Ephesians 1:1 KJV. The believing Jews and Greeks of the first century were allowed to die off the scene, and their signs and miracles along with them. Miracles and signs had been given to Israel so they might recognize their Messiah but not enough of them did so it’s over! I think of it as the end of that world and the beginning of the world we’re living in now. The old world was according to prophecy; this world is according to the mystery (Ephesians 3:9 KJV)! There is no indication in the scriptures written after Acts 28 that the former world will ever return. The new world takes us right up to and through Christ’s return (Colossians 3:4 KJV) and the establishment of the kingdom on earth (Colossians 1:13 KJV) - notice the new name? Not Israel’s kingdom, but the “kingdom of his [God’s] dear Son”! I believe that no one who belongs to the Father and/or the Son will be left out of that eternal kingdom of the entire earth restored to Eden-like glory!
It’s going to be great but in order to get there, we that believe today must acknowledge the free gift aspect of our gospel and avoid adding any qualifiers or conditions to that gift, such as thinking those calling themselves “Jews” today have special privileged status with God or that by obeying Jewish laws and observing rituals you will be considered special by God when in fact you will be stirring up the bad memories of his rejection by the ex-wife to whom he sent his only begotten Son to propose a re-marriage to her! No one is more special to God than any other person today; we are all on even ground! 🤗

What you say can also be applied to much of today's church.
While it is true that Israel blew it, do did much of the church.
      Look at us now!
God has by no means forsaken His first wife. Hosea taught os that *there will be a happy ending* .
Lo-Ammi will be Ammi, and Lo-Ruchamah will be Ruchamah.
Jacob had many children with Leah, but then he also had Yosef and Benyamin.
God will indeed accomplish *all* that He set out to do, and the culmination of His plans will be amazing!

    • @ingela_injeela

@@ronnie-lynn Really, God has only One Bride. And on the one hand, you can say that the Church (not the various institutions, but all who belong to Him) is the 'Bride of Christ'. Both Jews and Gentiles are part of the church, which is also the *body* of Christ.
We can also say that 'spiritual Israel' is the Bride, or Wife, in that all who believe in Jesus are grafted into the 'tree' that is spiritual Israel. And so, both born again Jews and born again Gentiles are joined together in Christ.
The Vine, the Olive tree, the Bride, the Body of Christ, the Adoption as Sons: These are all *allegories* , to illustrate our *relationship* with God.
*He wants us close* - to Him, and to each other. And all the Bible drives that key point home, one way or another.

    • @dfkuz
      @dfkuz 10 месяцев назад

@@ingela_injeela Boy, are you mixed up! The Greeks were Gentiles that were PROPHESIED to appear when they did (Deuteronomy 32:21 KJV) to align with the nation of Israel and when or IF Israel received her kingdom, they would serve them as their willing servants (Isaiah 60). That’s why they were not required to be circumcised; if they were, they’d then be Jews themselves and not inferior enough to serve Israel in the kingdom. Like Cornelius in Acts 10, the Greeks had blessed Israel ($) and thus the Greeks were blessed by Israel’s covenants of promise and they were aligned with the commonwealth of Israel. When Israel (and those Greeks) lost their kingdom hope, then and only then were pagan, lawless, Gentiles like everyone today, made eligible to be saved. These pagans were “strangers from the covenants of promise” and “aliens from the commonwealth of Israel,” (Ephesians 2:8&9 KJV) - Gentiles who were/are the TOTAL OPPOSITE of the Greeks. We’re not graffed into Israel’s olive tree - that’s prophecy! We’re saved and in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:1 KJV) according to the mystery - not prophecy!
Because there are NO JEWS in the eyes of God today, everyone is either saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ or not saved. It’s that simple! Break out of your brainwashing people and if you wonder who brainwashed you, “Cui bono?”

Samuel 15:3 - “Go and attack the Amalekites! Destroy them and all their possessions. Don't have any pity. Kill their men, women, children, and even their babies.”. Clearly, this is illogical as God is merciful. Don’t let the church and fake preachers deceived you with a tampered scripture.
