I served Fraser Island with my best friend as a 14-year-old in the 80s. We scored very similar waves to this and yes we had frightening experiences with very large sharks that I will never ever forget.
The D I point break at the end is definitely looking a bit Kirra like back in the day , shallow double up showing a little bit of chocolate sand..great memories of the old Kirra.
Surfed outside bank (albeit low tide) Eurong a few years ago with 6 mates. Pumping. Can tick that box though, no need to do it again, sharks galore. A year later our aircon guy got hit spear fishing up there. RIP Matt
its called the aquarium for a reason boys, Indian heads north side bay, back in the day i watched a team of yobbo fishermen , one up to his waist in the waves with a jag connected to a long length of rope with 6 men hanging off it, the crazy man with the pointy end jagged a 14 foot tiger shark looking for an easy meal of yobbo legs and they hauled its slimy arse out of the waves and slaughtered it on the beach , for its jaws. never get in the water there was the rule. But i see you all made it back to DI in one piece
Not paddling out, big difference, you will run a very real chance of getting ripped to pieces paddling out to these breaks, undeniable fun waves not worth it
Yes, that peeling right is definitely Fraser. Everybody needs to go straight Fraser
Yes, its definitely not that other place close by.
The shark factor is massively reduced at Fraser is you're only doing step-offs!

That floater with back handz was one of the most beautifull & stylish floater i've ever seen !!!
No way I’d ever consider paddling out at Fraser.
I had sharks swim behind me while fishing from the beach in knee deep water.
Not to mention all the sea snakes too

The good wave at the end is actually Double Island Point which is technically an outer suburb of Brisbane much like the Sunshine Coast
Yeah mate, wish they'd all fuck off back to Noosa.
Cooloola Region not an outer suburb of Brisbane
@@kerrisawtell2369 The Bruce Southbound at 7am on a weekday suggests otherwise
@@DaveGrenfell-x3s you’re going the wrong way if you head southbound from Brisbane?
Awesome video guys!
I swam everywhere there on both sides. But I had no idea about why people looked at me weirdly. Then I understood after speaking with a man 😂
Why the Jetski for 3' waves?
No one wants to be sitting in waters that sharky waiting for a wave!
My thoughts exactly.
Whats with the code names , looks so much like Fraser
Ya mum got bent over a keg by munga Barry here back in 78 Grom
