Lovely machine. That section of the Autobahn between 6:20 and 8:20 or so looks so modern and well engineered compared to UK motorways, especially the tunnel. Not silly traffic levels either

The limiter at 253 km/h would piss me off hard.
My F31 320d had a liter at 239km/h and I hated it.

Diese Verbrauchsanzeige früher am schluss war sehr gut..
a bit noisy, you hear the traffic and every bump. But you don't speak so it's hard to tell the reference. I think Mercedes is better damped with their air suspension and I like to hear music while driving and then I don't want to hear the car/environment.
Du weißt schon dass die 3er und 4er BMW's von Sixt auf Winterreifen stehen die eigentlich nur bis 210 km/h zugelassen sind? 😁
Wenn es so wäre, müsste ein Aufkleber, gut sichtbar, auf Instrumentenanzeiger, kleben.
How did you feel that engine in the car? Is it close to the M440d in terms of performance?
I don’t think so. 40d is 340ps. A difference of 54ps is quite big
No brainer to get the 40d over the 30d but in the UK at least you can no longer order a diesel 4 series with everyone going for the 30e due to company car taxes being lower for hybrids a big market for BMWs.

That should be way below 250 km/h on GPS! Did you test it with GPS?
AutotopNL tested it and found out that new BMW's usually are limited at 244 km/h GPS. But this only could be a "problem" in Germany... 😅
