animating lipsync for 22 minutes

This is how I animate lipsync! I really love animating lipsync, so I figured I should show a bit of how I approach it. I know I don't really talk much during this whole video but this is pretty much my process from the absolute very start to finish. From the moment that I come up with and record a short vocal line, to when I'm cropping the final animation for upload. I know it's kind of boring but this is quite literally what animating is like for me. I hope the little silly things that I included in the edit along with the music makes it a bit easier to watch.
This was edited down from about 2 hour's worth of footage during a livestream I did on Nov 24th, 2022. Most of what I cut out was me going on tangents and talking about random stuff, also my many failed attempts at drawing circles.
I have better internet, so I will definitely be streaming more often, and hopefully do some more videos kinda like this. I know it's a pretty niche thing to be interested in but I thought it'd be nice to share. I get a lot of questions about lipsync, and I really wanna make more videos about it specifically.

@@ZephyrysBaum Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... well... ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. personally i don't like it (i be using that firealpaca) but shit it's all up to testing different stuff and seein what ya like broski
@@ZephyrysBaum krita has a problem where it lags a lot so the frame rate isn't consistent meaning if you want to sync it up with audio it will sync up slightly differently every time

Its mainly muscle memory, practice makes good
I actually learned a lot from this. Being someone who has animated nothing at all
it do be a crazy helpful yet underused method when studying artists 💯
This is the kind of animation content I love.
When you can genuinely tell that the animator absolutely adores what they're doing.

That’s gotta be the fastest lip-sync animation process I’ve ever seen.
This is oddly therapeutic to watch, also a kind of relatable moment where you think of a funny idea and start working on it only to forget how much work it actually takes to complete it. Yet hours later you sit there thinking "Yep...Totally worth it."
I feel like you can also self voice your animations cuz your voice fits like those generally non human, animal or some other type of comical character

i was half avoiding this video because the topic seemed a little dry but that was one of the most engaging watches of the last month LMAO
Idk why but I hadn't considered you'd have to listen to the same audio over and over for 20 minutes
funny thing about that, animating to your own voice for lipsync practice also gets you really accustomed to hearing your own voice and how you speak. my voice just sounds like another person's voice at this point lol

This was really useful in remembering how much expression you can add without changing the feel of the expression. Just the little things you did with the eyes made it feel very energetic and lively.
