We've all gotta start somewhere. I find it impressive that I can listen to this kid and not even think of his age, he's THAT good. I certainly hope that he finds his own identity eventually, because most child prodigies fade into obscurity as they get older, mainly because they reached their peak at an early age and never really progressed after that.
I've checked some of his other stuff and he does do some improvisation on PG songs. As a matter of fact alot of this one is different from Paul's many versions.
Nope, he's right. Metal dog is the intro from paul's video terrifying guitar trip. This is the metal dog version of technical difficulties. He called it metal dog because of the way he alternate picks the intro riff, like scratchin' a dog.
When I search RUclips for "technical difficulties" this is the only song that comes up. Is "metal dog" the solo interlude that many people mistakenly think is a "comfortably numb" ripoff? I've checked out many versions of PGs most popular stuff and each version has different improvs. A nice version of "TD" is posted as one of my favorites as well as a great version of "scarified".
for all the haters talking shit about this kid, about *copying*, let's see how YOU can copy Gilbert, post up a vid, if not, shut the fuck up! This kid is amazing, period!! why do people have such a hard time to accept the fact that someone is better than them? I admit, this kid, among a ton of other guitarists kick my ass, and that, makes me want to practice more to get better. And I thank Anton and others for being an inspiration!
wrong, i'm not saying that he is playing metal dog. i am saying that it is where he got the solo from, thus he didn't "make up" the solo as you inferred that he did.
i would prefer he played original material over playing other peoples stuff. honestly ive looked at quite a bit of his vids and he has played anything original. what good is it for him to know all of paul gilberts songs and paganinis caprices? sure he can do clinics and play them but w/e
It´s a little bit slower then the orginal, but still fun to listen. Sure he has still much more to learn and his phrasing is not the best so far, but his technical skills are already amazing. And i´m sure his phrasing will also become amazing as he grows up, he´s on a good way. I can imagine without any problem, that he will become an outstanding guitar hero in the future.
What a lucky guy... I don't fuck'n believe that he have talent like that !!.... :o I'm jealous. But I'm sure he plays guitar since he was 4-6 years old... :) But he is still 12 :D Nice, really nice.
NO! HE IS NOT F'CKING PLAYING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES LIKE PAUL GILBERT!! HE ISNT!! I MUST HAVE BEEN TAKING DRUGS TO SEE THESE PICS IN THAT ROW AND THAT SOUND HOLY F'CKIN COoow!!
that kid is gonna be seriously having to fight off top drawer poontang with a shitty stick in a few years, I wish i had put more effort into my guitar at that age rather than shoving money into arcade games.
8 years later you can see that he did the right things. If he stayed at home being shy he wouldn't become the player he is today. Check out his channel see for yourself.
He is still playing and he is unbelievable now.
increible!!! toca igualito al maestro gilbert!! sera una reencarnacion de Paganini'? Ojala que haga temas propios y venga a dar una clinica a Chilito.

wow i think thats an insane life performance.

EC plays mostly without the use of "pinky"... three fingered guitarist. He was one of my inspirations... 40 years ago... the bar gets raised over time
HATERS GONNA HATE. And this kid will keep on rockin. Nuff said.
this is so good
damn it's a paul gilbert cover this boy is awesome

Had he grown his hair and joined a rock/metal band he'd be a guitar god by now, like with everything if your face don't fit you ain't getting in.
@notafraidoffuture The song is Technical difficulties, but the solo is Metal Dog

@ibanezxiphos700
Take a look of Anton's song called And Now... That song Kick Ass!!!
at first i thought he was gonna play painkiller by judas priest
OMG man nice your like a wizerd on that thing i wish i could play any way you got some crazy skills man kool!
Puh-leeze. Clapton was a great innovator, but this kid would crush him in any style.
spoon12bil, give him some time. He will write and we will be spell bound. When was the last time you saw any musician this age publish anything?
wrong, i'm not saying that he is playing metal dog. i am saying that it is where he got the solo from, thus he didn't "make up" the solo as you inferred that he did.
This ain't Technical Difficulties. It has the same solo from Metal Dog... It's a semi-mashup.
@paulcollumbine
like god of guitar ^^
what a talent !
check out his RUclips channel, he's truly phenomenal

he plays oringinals and covers like all great musicians
At 3:56 the backingtrack isn't from pink floyd confortably numb?

same speed
he indeed has become one, brother :) check out his RUclips channel :)
Lil man rocks !
Stay frosty, Anton!
... Meanwhile, I got some practicing to do..
He will be the next world biggesst guitarist.. maybe one day he will be like mark knopfler or who knows , paige or kinda.
OHUET'
He didnt make it up at all.
its a note for note copy of one of Gilberts from an earlier verision of the song, look up Metal Dog.
Nah, same riffs. Metal Dog is the earlier version of Technical Difficulties, listen to the solo section. They're different.
It's Technical Difficulties, even if the "Project"-name of it was Metal Dog. For god sake, a whole Racer X album has the same title as this song.
This is technical difficulties, I think your mistaken DKU
Where is his channel?

He smokes Eric Clapton and he's 12. I've seen his stuff when he was 8 and he was as good as EC then. Search using his name. He has written some.
Paul Gilbert *_*
NO! HE IS NOT F'CKING PLAYING TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES LIKE PAUL GILBERT!! HE ISNT!! I MUST HAVE BEEN TAKING DRUGS TO SEE THESE PICS IN THAT ROW AND THAT SOUND HOLY F'CKIN COoow!!
Impresionante!! pero che, díganle a la madre que le deje de comprar la ropa por favor!!!
this guy is a fux atomic bomb compared to pink floyd lead guitar
Technical Difficulties
good job, when i was 13 i sucked
its technical difficulties!
that kid is gonna be seriously having to fight off top drawer poontang with a shitty stick in a few years,
I wish i had put more effort into my guitar at that age rather than shoving money into arcade games.
....well fuck.
WTF???
this kid is awesome but that guitar tone is horrible.
he needs more charisma before he goes anywhere
charisma is overrated
