Perfect execution of Paganini and two very difficult Bach pieces. UNBELIEVABLE. This guy must practice 8 hours a day. Shred die? Shred has been around for at least 300 years. It will never die.

Personally I think your ego got hurt when you saw the video, and you had to put him down to feel better about yourself.
That's the only reason I can think of why ANYONE would EVER talk shit about the performance of a CHILD, no matter how good or bad it is.

Yeah you can see that he's really feeling what he's playing musically instead of just regurgitating it out mechanically, there's phrasing and articulation, which really nails that neoclassical vibe he's going for. I will play this piece and then follow up with Trilogy Suite op. 5 by Yngwie Malmsteen for a recital one day.

    TLDR
I’ll preface this necro-post by saying that this kid is better at 14 than I am at 56 and way better than I’ll ever be. I am saying this in advance so that maybe my critique will not get flamed (though it probably will, oh well).
The unfathomable virtuosity shown by this kid demonstrates two things gloriously:
    1. Practice breaks all barriers eventually, except one:
    2. Experience cannot be practiced.
When playing by himself, it is beyond extraordinary, and beyond anything I’ll ever achieve. When playing with the band, his youth and inexperience pokes its head ever-so-slightly above the surface, which is not a criticism but merely an inevitability for almost anyone of any talent level at that age.
It just goes to show that you should try to find others to play with as soon as you can, and play with them as often as you can. Also, it’s a good to try to make other bands members sound better AS PART of your practice. Listen to what THEY are doing and try to think of what you can play to enhance their part.
    Unbelievably awesome and inspiring stuff!

@RobDZeppelin My point is, most of classic rock is three chords so you just agreed that it does not require talent. As for Anton, I guess I just feel compelled to stand up for someone that is very talented. Your taste in music is fine if you like classic rock. I just think it is a mistake to judge talent based on one's taste in music.

LordSpanky...I absolutely agree.. This talented young man does know the neck and how to double pick the notes. but he has not developed and flavor yet. If you notice, he has a bit of difficulty when having to slow down and get Tasty and Melodic... with a sweet riff/ signature lick, that you can actually whistle and remember in your head but I have a feeling that if he keeps playing that he will find this out. I've known many upon many guitar players that were lighting fast but had no idea of building a melody.. Just how to play a shit load of note's mostly in key and double pick the shit out of them.. which is great if your playing Eddie Van Halen's ERUPTION... and that epically limits your ability to just that. I wish him the best !!! ROCK ON
