Hi Tondi, so good to see you again, even if it is on you tube. Hope all is well with you. It is so hard to keep in touch with Mary's place gone. A few of us still get together 1x a month just to "show and tell". Lots of love girl - Marti (p.s. I am finally going to be making the purse - my word, how long ago did we buy that design Hope I can still find it. Have had 2 computers since then, ha ha)
Marti Morgan hey lady!! Haven’t seen you in forever! Hit me up on email at jerryandtondi@bellsouth.net Glad you found me on RUclips! Let me know when and where you meet up. I miss the old group!
Thank you so much for this video. Great job! So helpful! You mentioned the batting made the stocking difficult to turn out, how about if I used Soft & Stable to add some body to the lining fabric? Can't wait to try this design.
AngiesQuilting I just used stabilizer without batting in the stocking for my dog Baby and it was plenty sturdy for me. I think it’s just personal preference as to whether you like the quilted look or if that doesn’t matter. I’m not sure what Soft and Stable is but I assume a stabilizer. These are so easy to do that I would recommend doing a practice one first if you have time. Then you will get a better idea how you want your main project to look. 😊
@@TinkertimeTextiles ok...I now know that the addition of the hanging ribbon to the outside of the stocking is the key. My bad. I put my ribbon on after adding the back and liner but before I add the final liner piece. Sorry for my confusion. Loved the way it came out!! Thanks. I don't think I would have tried this without your help.
@@TinkertimeTextiles Thank you. I have a Viking Designer SE and I love it. I was just wondering. I can't afford the new machines. Maybe when I win the Lottery???? I also want to say I love your presentation on your video, You do it very well and I can understand it. Thanks again.
Sorry about that! I’ve since had my daughter come over and help me set up a tripod to hold my phone! I need octopus arms haha. I am definitely NOT a video person and just trying to help out my favorite designer. Maybe one day someone that is a pro at it will decide to make tutorials properly for her. 💞
@@TinkertimeTextiles no worries, I get it. It was great for you to do this tutorial. My issue with motion but look forward to more tutorial videos. Thank you.
This is because you would need to choose to reorder your steps to set it in the proper order. What you can do is use your machine to skip forward at the right step to where your words are and then once that stitches out just use the go back a step function to scoot backwards to where you left off. I hope this makes some sense. Each machine will have its own scoot forward or scoot back function.
johna wrzosek my machine is a Babylock Destiny in this video. They are very user friendly machines. Software on my computer is Pallette. These are my choices simply because all I had local to me was a Babylock dealer when I started back in 2004. I had a great teacher who really worked with me to make sure I understood my machines from my first one through each upgrade. Your dealer and good instruction will make your editing sew much easier! RUclips is your friend for learning your software also. Good luck and happy stitching! 💖
Johna, I have the Designer SE. the embroidery doesn’t compare to the Destiny, at least on mine. Love my Destiny, I can’t justify the price of the Solaris.
I use a soft mesh cut away. Not the wash away kind. I leave it in since it is soft and flexible. No muslin for me. Some people use only muslin. Whatever you find works best for you is fine. 💞
I cannot possibly show you how to use your individual editing programs. Every person watching this video likely has a different machine or software. You just skip that section of the design if you cannot delete it. Use your forward and back tools to set the name in the right part of the design. Many people will not have the ability to change the file but can add a name. Hopefully this makes sense as to why I did not attempt to illustrate that. Thank you for watching 😊
Nifty. I’m new to Molly Mine designs so I appreciate this tute. Thank you. New subbie.
Thank you for a great tutorial! I love the Molly Mine Stocking. Thank you for the tip about batting!
I have the Unity by Baby Lock but my biggest hoop is 8 X 6. Love that it can be done in one hooping.
Oh My Gosh! Thanks for the video! I've hesitated buying the design but now it's a GO! Thanks a million!

Even though I ALWAYS have the PDF instructions open and following along, I can still screw it up - LOL!
This was SO VERY helpful...thank you!

This is very helpful, thank you. You do an amazing job. :)
Very helpful...thank you!
You have mad skills doing that while holding a phone!
TheTHREADGIRL haha thanks!
Thank you for the video. Why is there a turning hole in the backing? I'm half way through my first stocking and just curious.
So you can flip it right side out in the end

Thx you so much,I think I can do it now
Love this design. By the way, what machine do you have? I see that is a Baby Lock, but what model? Thank you.
johna wrzosek at the time I believe I was using the Destiny but I now have a Solaris.

Great video.. could not watch all the way throught.. have a sensitivity to motion camera.

I still don’t understand the name I added the name to the design but it wanted to stitch it after the stocking was done

Toni What embroidery/software did you have in the video for the stocking? I love it. Mine is not that easy. Thanks

Do you still have yours? Does it work well?
What stabilizer did you use? Did you use a muslin also or just a stabilizer?
I use a soft mesh cut away. Not the wash away kind. I leave it in since it is soft and flexible. No muslin for me. Some people use only muslin. Whatever you find works best for you is fine. 💞
What model Baby Lock is that please.
Solaris
Do you leave the stabilizer in there
So sorry I missed this comment! Yes I leave my stable in. I use a soft mesh. It’s flexible.
The problem with your illustration is that you don't show how to delete the name that is already in the file.
I cannot possibly show you how to use your individual editing programs. Every person watching this video likely has a different machine or software. what kind of stabilizer did you use?
I typically use a soft mesh. Not the wash away kind but the cut away. I leave it in because it is soft and flexible.
