You might want to take a look at Safety Siphon. It is a piece of 1/2" tubing with a check ball on one end. It allows you to transfer fuel from one machine to another.
Cute puppy ! Wendell was just a little guy. Watching this to make a survival bag . You did good to get all that stuff stashed! Great video with great ideas!
Thanks for your videos. Learned my lesson. Had too pump tire and tire pump blew fuse on the quad. Would have given 100 bucks for one of those at the time. Small enough to tuck in the kit and forget.
Congrats on the new house & instant family (cute pup). Now whenever someone asks me what's in my cargo box, I'll send them a link to this video 'cause it looks like we both keep pretty much the same stuff in our cargo box - lol. Thanx for sharin'!
Hey buddy ! thank you ! and yeah I may pack heavy but I like to try and cover all bases, I forgot the toilet paper though ! hahaha thanks for watching !
Thank you for the great ideas I recently purchased a new Quad for hunting a lot of times I go out alone I'm interested in what I should bring for emergency Equipment and you definitely gave me a lot of food for thought thank you so much
No problem at all, i'm glad I was able to help you out, I forgot to add toilet paper ! haha My new bike, I have a new storage box, so I may make a new video on my emergency equipment. if you make some hunting videos, let me know, I'll check them out.
Hey ! Yeah I see lots of wildlife, Bears, moose, deer, coyotes and cats, but they always run away once they see me. while camping I haven't had any real run in with wildlife, just has a few mice stop by to warm up, but Wendell usually scares them off lol
Good ideas ! I'm in the market for a chainsaw, but I doubt I'd bring it on every run, and if I get a saw it will be a decent size one so I can chunk up wood at my camp. thanks for the ideas though !
I'm a little late. Good kit, I've added a shovel, qt of oil, starter fluid and fuses to my kit. You've got a good survival kit I guess mines engineered to vehicle repair. Edit: it's an 87 big bear. Good atv but she's old lol
Hey man ! Maybe I need to gear my kit more towards a breakdown too ! of course my bike is a bit newer than your trusty Big Bear haha I love those bikes !
Hey man, I cant remember I bought it so long ago, I believe it's supposed to be on the front rack, but I always kept it on the back, recently sold it, to clear up some room.
hey Thanks Dan ! appreciate it ! and I know, I get that from my father, if we go on a short run we bring all the same stuff we would on a 3 day adventure haha it's in my genes.
Hey buddy congratulation on you new house and your nice poppy nice to hear from you again and if you come in Burlington this summer or any time come to visit will have an Alpine and have a good chat Salut !
Thanks again for another great video. Dry bag with clothes and rain gear. Would be only thing I would add. You got it pretty much covered. 10,000 subs and I'll see if the store I go to will send some?? The rate your going since i started watching you will be there in no time.
Hey ! thats a good idea with the rain gear ! I usually pack my clothes depending on the weather, but I've been caught before without rain gear, it sucked haha that would be awesome man ! Always nice to get some good gear, thank you so much !
Hey ! I'll add some batteries and I always carry my phone charger just forgot to put it in the video haha I've also added one of those power packs that has booster cables on it (It can boost a truck, so should be good for a ATV) and I can charge my phone and go pro from it too. thanks for the comment !
Maritimer cool, I’m new to ATV and putting together a similar kit. I have a side by side. Just finished putting together a spare tire kit. Just want to be prepared for any any situation.
haha thanks ! I get a lot of jokes b/c I keep my bike/truck/everything clean, but it's how I was brought up, to respect your stuff, it lasts longer that way.
that's right man, I was raised like that also... got 11k on my 2011 outlander 800 looks cleaner than some 2016 I've been riding with haha, this is funny I've been watching you videos for like 2 hours def need to sleep and ready for work tomorrow haha later man, subscribe if you want Ill be posting new stuff by next weekend hopefully
Greetings from Iowa. I like your loadout sir. Consider listing out that stuff in a top level comment if you have the time. I know many would appreciate that.
That’s a solid set up! Do you find you’ve had much changes, adding to taking things out over the years since you did this vid, just wondering :) Take Care :)
I like the hand sanitizer idea. I will add that to my ATV overnight kit. I keep a couple trail or cereal bars handy. Cheap to replace after they are passed the expiration date. I toss the old ones onto the trail for a critter to enjoy. Toilet paper or a few squares of paper towels come in handy for several things. I hate not having paper to blow my nose when it runs in cold weather.
Thats quite a kit you got goin there. Ive been thinking I should do the same, never know if going to get stranded. one thing you could add to your kit too is a small packpackers emergency tent. They fold up pretty small
Hey thanks ! you should definitely have some sort of gear if things go wrong, that tent idea is pretty good idea, any idea how much they cost? I have the tarp which can be set up in many different ways.
I got a really simple 1 man tent for 40 bucks at BassPro. Same ones are at cabelas. They pack up in a small bag no bigger then a foot long and half a foot wide. great for long trips on the bikes.
Something like this packs up real small www.ebay.ca/itm/Stansport-Scout-Backpack-Tent-Forest-Green-6-Feet-6-Inch-X4-Feet-6-Inch-X-/281705599462?hash=item4196f651e6:g:kasAAOSwBLlVZ6tW Leave the poles at home, use sticks at camp site and it will pack even smaller. Likely fit into your storage tote easy among your other stuff. Btw, few of us are going to do a camping weekend here soon near Grand Lake (not sure if I used this account or my other one when we talked about it before). Likely near end of June or beginning of July. You up for it?
Hey ! We'll I'm not an expert, but I do see a lot of "Bushcrafters" on YT carry them, I tried it out last summer while on a hike, drank from a river, hiked all day, and didn't feel any affects, but of course the water looked clear as Heck and I was well away from any towns, but I'm sure if you google it, there are much smarter people than myself. thanks for watching !
Congrats on being a new homeowner.......now the fun starts.....lol Great to see you back with some new vids. I have updated some pics to my Facebook page of the new machine and a bunch of other stuff. Check them out. All the best,
hey man, it's an OGIO bag, they are sold in most ATV shops, I got mine at Atlantic Motoplex here in Moncton, NB. I've had it for years now, it was probably $160-200 I think... and its not totally water proof, but I've had it in heavy rain and it doesn't leak, now if you left it out all night in the rain it will eventually leak though. I've never had dust get in either and I'm always riding dusty trails.
Spare belt would be a good thing to carry for sure ! saying that,Yamaha has a 10 year belt warranty, they have by far the best belt drive in the game, guys with 20,000km on the original belt. if you google how the yamaha drive works, you'll see there is never slack in the belt like on a sled or other brands, sort of a two clutch system which engage and disengage. I know those sleds can be hard on belts though, plus with the HP they have haha
Hey ! Yes he is ! crazy little guy haha I didn't want a boring dog, I've got some videos of him with me on the ATV for day trips, you can check them out.
thanks man ! and its so funny you said that, when I finished editing the video I said "Sh*t I forgot TP!!!" haha thats Very important in the woods lol you can always sacrifice a sock though lol
Hey ! I'll take that as a compliment ! haha that Grizzly had over 8000klm on it when I sold it shortly after that video, after every ride I wash my machine thoroughly and put some shine on the plastics. thanks !!
It's a Yamaha, it doesn't burn belts ! haha jk That is a good idea though ! Thanks !! and I do have an extra spark plug in my box, just forgot to show it. But in all seriousness, the chances of a Yamaha belt drive being burned out aren't very high, they have a 10 year belt warranty, by far the best belt drive system in the game (dual clutch) thanks for the ideas, I appreciate the feed back.
Hey Sam ! I usually carry a roto-pack with about 5L of gas in it and as far as a spare tire, it would be tough to find a spot to carry that on a ATV.... maybe on a SXS you'd have more room. thanks for the ideas though !
Great video especially for new riders. Love seeing Windell as a pup.
Hey ! thanks Rob ! yeah I need to make a newer one, maybe break it up into segments. Ol' Wendell was young in this video !
Wendell looked so cute as a pup!
Paul
Hey Paul ! thanks ! he was a good looking little pup. haha
You might want to take a look at Safety Siphon. It is a piece of 1/2" tubing with a check ball on one end. It allows you to transfer fuel from one machine to another.
Hey Tom, man that's a good idea ! I never thought or heard of that. we usually bring extra gas but that's a good little item to have. thanks !
Cute puppy ! Wendell was just a little guy. Watching this to make a survival bag . You did good to get all that stuff stashed! Great video with great ideas!
Hey ! thank you ! Yep thats when Wendell was a lot younger haha Cheers man !
Canned camping fuel, beef jerky. You're close to what I pack actually. Nice video!
Hey ! thanks for checking out my video ! I didn't include the food stuff I bring but Jerky is always good ! thanks !
Thanks for the heads up on the emergs kit. Excellent video.
Hey man, glad you liked it !
Thanks for your videos. Learned my lesson. Had too pump tire and tire pump blew fuse on the quad. Would have given 100 bucks for one of those at the time. Small enough to tuck in the kit and forget.
Hey ! yeah man I've seen it a few times, guys will get a flat and have plugs but no way to refill the tire...
Congrats on the house...busy times! Good to be prepared in the bush!
Hey thanks Rob ! Appreciate it ! and yeah it's always good to be ready for anything !
Just made me realize how much I've been slacking. Thanks!!!
Hey man ! Always good to be prepared ! my kit changed with the weather but the basics are always there.... Shelter, fire, knife, metal container.
Wendell as a pup,so cute. Good video
Hey thanks Jim ! I'll pass on the kind words to Wendell ! haha thanks again !
Awesome video, really like the ideas and will use it on an upcoming trip.
Hey !! thanks awesome man, glad I could help ya in some way. thanks for leaving me a comment !
Thank you for the great ideas I recently purchased a new Quad for hunting a lot of times I go out alone I'm interested in what I should bring for emergency Equipment and you definitely gave me a lot of food for thought thank you so much
No problem at all, i'm glad I was able to help you out, I forgot to add toilet paper ! haha My new bike, I have a new storage box, so I may make a new video on my emergency equipment. if you make some hunting videos, let me know, I'll check them out.
will do thanks
Mate do you have issues with wildlife when out riding in the wilderness such as Bears ? if so what your recommendation ?
Hey ! Yeah I see lots of wildlife, Bears, moose, deer, coyotes and cats, but they always run away once they see me.
while camping I haven't had any real run in with wildlife, just has a few mice stop by to warm up, but Wendell usually scares them off lol
Nice video! A small (small as you can find,as long as its sharp) gas powered chain saw and some limb cutters come in handy too.

Hey man ! Maybe I need to gear my kit more towards a breakdown too ! of course my bike is a bit newer than your trusty Big Bear haha I love those bikes !
Cool! Thanks for sharing... Nice to be prepared!
thanks for watching, and you're right, always good to have the gear.
What OGIO bag is that? Looks awesome.
Hey man, I cant remember I bought it so long ago, I believe it's supposed to be on the front rack, but I always kept it on the back, recently sold it, to clear up some room.
great vid.....congrats on the new house and puppy......wow you bring a lot of stuff...well prepared..
hey Thanks Dan ! appreciate it ! and I know, I get that from my father, if we go on a short run we bring all the same stuff we would on a 3 day adventure haha it's in my genes.
that's a good thing...im a bit the same way...when I go riding with my friends they need something..i always have what they need...
haha Im the same, all my friends joke that I'm always prepared lol
Good video, great idea to share knowledge.
thanks Walter !
Hey buddy congratulation on you new house and your nice poppy nice to hear from you again and if you come in Burlington this summer or any time come to visit will have an Alpine and have a good chat Salut !
hey man, thank you ! I won't be in ONT this summer, but hopefully I can take you up on that offer sometime ! haha
Any time just let me know men
Thanks again for another great video. Dry bag with clothes and rain gear. Would be only thing I would add. You got it pretty much covered. 10,000 subs and I'll see if the store I go to will send some?? The rate your going since i started watching you will be there in no time.
Hey ! thats a good idea with the rain gear ! I usually pack my clothes depending on the weather, but I've been caught before without rain gear, it sucked haha
that would be awesome man ! Always nice to get some good gear, thank you so much !
Got to leave room for a bag of dirty blondes! That will never get old!
Great video, exactly what I was looking for. Another thing I would add are extra batteries and phone charger.
It's always good to be prepared ! as my father says "I'd rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it" haha
The pouch is a Condor utility pouch. Good video man.
I think you're right ! thanks !
Great video, what size shed ya got you there?
Hey thanks man, it's 12X20'
Congrats on the new house Brother...keep the videos coming
thank you !!!
keeping the quad clean and in shape :) I like it man, keep it up!!!
haha thanks ! I get a lot of jokes b/c I keep my bike/truck/everything clean, but it's how I was brought up, to respect your stuff, it lasts longer that way.
that's right man, I was raised like that also... got 11k on my 2011 outlander 800 looks cleaner than some 2016 I've been riding with haha, this is funny I've been watching you videos for like 2 hours def need to sleep and ready for work tomorrow haha later man, subscribe if you want Ill be posting new stuff by next weekend hopefully
sounds good, I'll check you out !
Greetings from Iowa. I like your loadout sir. Consider listing out that stuff in a top level comment if you have the time. I know many would appreciate that.
Hey Barry ! thanks a lot man ! I appreciate it !
New Brunswick that’s awesome I have some friends in Moncton 👍🏻
Right on ! thats where I am, we'll technically i'm in Dieppe, but its all grown into one now haha I just say Moncton lol
Thank you Maritimer
Hey ! thank you for watching ! I hope it gives ya some ideas !
That’s a solid set up! Do you find you’ve had much changes, adding to taking things out over the years since you did this vid, just wondering :)

Hey ! ahhhh yeah I changed a few things, but the basics are still the same. I have a water filter now, but thats pretty much it.
I like the hand sanitizer idea. I will add that to my ATV overnight kit. I keep a couple trail or cereal bars handy. Cheap to replace after they are passed the expiration date. I see them on ebay and aliexpress quite often under 100 bux
I got a really simple 1 man tent for 40 bucks at BassPro. Same ones are at cabelas. They pack up in a small bag no bigger then a foot long and half a foot wide. great for long trips on the bikes.
Something like this packs up real small

Slick VdBuckero Thats what i got, just a tad longer
where do you keep your maple syrup?
bahahahaha !!!! front breast pocket ! lol
Ok...Lifestraw...yay or nay? Does it actually work? Been looking into getting one

Great to see you back with some new vids.
I have updated some pics to my Facebook page of the new machine and a bunch of other stuff. Check them out.
All the best,
thank you !! I'll have to check out your pics ! thanks again !
How much did that bag for your bike cost and where did you get it and is it water proof

+Maritimer thanks
Baby Wendell! And no fence!?
hahaha Yes sir ! Old video. thanks for watching !
Love the videos man! How much is insurance on these bikes?
not too much, probably $160 Canadian for the year. more expensive and new your bike is, it may be a bit more but not much. thanks for the support !
thanks for the response man! im actually from nova scotia, sort of near windsor
I'm jealous. I paid 560 for the year on my sportsman 570...
Oh no way ! I'm originally from porters Lake, it's just outside Dartmouth, all my family still lives there.
Yikes ! Maybe I made a mistake, I don't really know bc its just grouped on with my truck, gf car and my ATV haha but I think its like 200 a year.
No spare belt huh? We used to always carry spare belts while sledding, but I guess you're not as hard on belts with a utility ATV.
How's the good boi?
all good my boy !
wooo! I'm the one thousandth subscriber
hey thanks man !!! blown away I have 1k subs now !
it's nice watching simple trail ride video un edited sometimes
Just a thought zip ties heavy duty ones
thanks Alan, I always carry small and large zip ties. I must have forgot to put it in the video. thanks for watching !
Which bike do you have?
in this video its a 2008 Yamaha Grizzly 700. I now have a 2017 Grizzly 700.
Is he a parson russel?
Hey ! Yes he is ! crazy little guy haha I didn't want a boring dog, I've got some videos of him with me on the ATV for day trips, you can check them out.
How about a compass
Good idea but I don't really know how to use a compass good enough to make it useful. Maybe I should learn !
Hey, what happened to you? You still making videos? Hope all is well.
Hey Dana ! I have been busy, but I have a trip planned for Thanksgiving, should be a good run ! sorry I've been slacking ! haha
I keep a tool bon on my atv
whats a tool bon? or did you mean took kit? its always a good idea to keep some extra tools on your bike.
Congrats on the house and the puppy. Where's the toilet paper and granola bars?
thanks man ! and its so funny you said that, when I finished editing the video I said "Sh*t I forgot TP!!!" haha thats Very important in the woods lol you can always sacrifice a sock though lol
Wheeler looks like it’s never left the yard...
Hey ! I'll take that as a compliment ! haha that Grizzly had over 8000klm on it when I sold it shortly after that video, after every ride I wash my machine thoroughly and put some shine on the plastics. thanks !!
How about SPARK PLUGS & EXTRA BELT...
Hey you forgot gasoline and extra tire just in case
Hey Sam ! I usually carry a roto-pack with about 5L of gas in it and as far as a spare tire, it would be tough to find a spot to carry that on a ATV.... maybe on a SXS you'd have more room. thanks for the ideas though !
@@Maritimer your welcome
