  • Picked up a box and built a fair few of them.
    Wish the heads were a bit more modular than they actually are.
    Wanted some equipped with other weapons besides spears but I'm having a tough time figuring out what to source for parts!

    Winged Valkyries: Shieldwolf recently completed a Kickstarter, the actual kit is due to drop sometime this year.

      Yeah, I'm definitely waiting to see how they turn out. I'm sure I'll end up with some on the channel at some point!

    This is a kit I would buy, looks really cool.

    Honestly I think your best bet for bits is to look for 3D printed ones and size them up.
    There might be some GW Stormcast bits that could be the right size, but they'll be armored.
    Although sometimes hands are oversized, so something from an old Empire or high elf sprue might work .
    Good luck, hope you find something!

    I’m glad someone loves putting models to whether because I hate it. With a passion.

      I'm one of those people that could care less about owning them even. Just let me build the stuff! Even obnoxious ones I will still happily (albeit with a ton of swearing most likely) put them together.

    Now I have them painted up I LOVE the valyries. but when i was building them oh boy using tamiya extra thin just didnt work. the contact points on the wrists were so damn small i couldnt get the shields to stay even after a few days!

    These minis seems very beautiful, the problem Is that without a comparison btw differenti brands it's difficultà to Say what hands/arms could be compatible. Normally Frostgrave's boxed sets should work, but Conquest 's ones seems bigger.

    Great now I have to Buy a Box. The Design of these Modells is Fantastic. And it is the first Female infantry Unit. All other Female Conquest Modells are some Special Unit or Hero. 😅

      @ObscuritiesinMiniature  Год назад +1

      Yeah, that's what I was thinking. They're the first "basic" plastic female unit, for lack of a better word- but then I just realized that the Raptor Riders are all female as well, in plastic, but they're cavalry... so I guess the Valkyries being first still stans!

    Those are some nice looking Valkyries. I've always been a big fan of warrior women, but just haven't had a chance to get my hands on some of them. Speaking of warrior women, have you showed any interest in Infinity Bakunin Observance faction?

    Without seeing the minis in hand, would old High Elf or Wood Elf hands fit on the Valkyrie arms? Do Mantic Rift Forged Orks or ogres have arms long enough, and does the armor look compatible?

      Elf arms were a thought I had too, but just haven't been motivated enough to dig through sprues and bits to check... yet. I think you might be on to something!

    Hey, obscurities man, what do you think of the Adepticon Conquest reveals? You can find most of them on the subreddit, if you haven't already.

      Of course I saw! All those w'adhrun dinos? Heck yeah, I'll be getting some eventually. I missed my initial chance to get an Apex Predator for a good price, but one of these days I'll grab that too.
      The W'adhrun are probably my second most painted Conquest army at this point, and eventually I'll even finish the raptors I've been dorking around on for months.

      @@ObscuritiesinMiniature Nice. What do you think of the OD Minotaurs, and the new Dweghom automatons? I know you like your dwarves.

    • @ObscuritiesinMiniature
      @ObscuritiesinMiniature  Год назад +1

      The automatons I was a bit undecided on. I want to see them painted first. Minotaurs always look good. Trying to finish up my current city states models as it is.

    Okay that's the valkyrie Infantry, when do we get the valkyrie cavalry, and those have to have wings.

    It's not dual kit like a lot of their previous kits?

    • @ObscuritiesinMiniature
      @ObscuritiesinMiniature  Год назад +3

      Sadly, no. Come to think of it though, have any of the Nords kits been dual kits? I feel like they've all been made for one designated role so far. I also think this may have been the first of the Nords kits to get released with the newer plastics too (outside of the plastic rerelease of the Bow Chosen possibly).

    That is why Conquest never appealed to me. It's too Modern GW for my taste and the aesthetics are not my cup of tea. Shame really.
