  • The XXL American Bully is the largest Bully size out of all the bullies standing a whopping 6 inches higher than the XL Bully. In this episode Anneka meets a pack of XXL Bullies in Spain and finds out if they are sweet and cuddly or dangerous. We discuss history, temperament and training. Anneka pops down to top Spanish training facility Churchos to see what these gigantic dogs are capable of.
The name 'Pitbull' is the American slang word for American Bullies, but these dogs aren't true Pit Bulls. The American Pitbull Terrier is a totally different breed, however Hulk, who features as the heaviest and largest American Bully on earth is referred to as a 'Pitbull'.

My dog is half cane corso half xl bully. He looks a lot like these dogs and he is a goofy happy dog. My friend has his brother from the same litter and he is happy and gentle too. I live with a 12 year old unfixed male border collie and 2 fixed female whippets. My dog just turned 1 year old, he is unfixed and he has never scratched a dog here. He plays with the whippets full tilt.

Hi Anneka...I found your videos on the American Bully very informative. It's amazing to see a Molosser breed that comes in different sizes similarly seen in breeds like poodles, schnauzers, and the Xoloitzcuintle. I very much hope U.K would one day lift the ban on this magnificent breed, along with the American Pitbull, Dogo Argentino, Fila Brasileiro, and Tosa Inu. And instead target irresponsible backyard breeders and owners who raise such dogs in a way that they end up being dangerous to the public.

    • @AL-lh2ht
      @AL-lh2ht 18 дней назад

Aggression is a trait that is tied with genetics. Pitbulls were bred and create to have aggression built into them. You can not pretend that the much higher statistic for incidents involving pitbulls is purely because you think the owners were evil.

There should be severe penalties for clipping dogs' ears.

Oftentimes the vets clip ears because they tend to get hematomas and infections. It’s not always for looks but for medical reasons. Same with docking tails. When I worked as a vet tech it was hard to watch but needed for lifelong health. You don’t want to see a dog have to have the base of tail of ears have huge needles inserted to drain all the blood that pools of have a lifetime of pain due to infections.

Getting your dog spayed or neutered is far more painful to a dog than getting their ears cropped. It’s recommended to get them cropped at like 2-3 months.

Ireland did a study about these breeds in one of the collages. No dog breed is more likely to bite than any other, in fact they discovered the breed most likely to bite was whatever breed was most popular at the time. The information out there on dog bites isn't accurate either, not many people are going to report a small dog bite. The problem with any larger dog breed is that they can simply do more damage and lets be honest can lead to even bones being crushed. I think if you have a big dog you need to be a tall and strong person. You should never get certain breed because you want a certain breed, you need to pick a dog breed that suits your lifestyle and character.
A huge problem is that anyone can breed a dog, a lot of people don't pick dogs with good temperaments because they simply want money and don't care, it's actually probably one of the biggest problems. The second is to do with dog training and discipline, dogs are like children they're sensitive and very harsh discipline can lead to serious problems down the line.
I personally have a Cocker Spaniel with behavioural issues, she will attack other dogs for even sniffing her more than once, I know, the horror! How dare that other dog sniff her twice. I know 5 people in my local area with the same breed who has similar aggression problems, once of whom sadly had to be put to sleep. That is because I discovered that my local area is littered with this breed, they're bloody everywhere!

Without exaggeration, one of the most affectionate dogs I have met had some bulldog/pitbull features (she was a mix of both and a bit more). I met her once at a cross section, a young lady was walking with her and the dog clearly was friendly (looked at me with a friendly face) so I petted her (I first carefully let her sniff the back of my hand, I check that way if I read it correctly) for a few minutes and I chatted with the lady. A few months later in a nearby park (half ordinary park, half a very tiny forest) a big dog came sprinting to me, not on a leash. It was that dog, she remembered me a few months later after I was nice to hear 1 time. The race is 100% fine, the human trainers/'owners' are the problem if such a dog gets agressive.

agression in dogs is a trait that has ties with genetics. PitBulls were and are bred for aggression. That is why the incident rate for pit bulls are so high.

@@AL-lh2ht You are not wrong that they can be made agressive more easily (much more easily) but isn't that a double edge sword? They also are incredibly loyal towards their pack (the humans who live with them in this case). Doesn't the tendency to more easily be trained for agression come from that sense of loyalty when they are poorly socialized? If you have a thought on that, fire away.

@@AL-lh2ht well did you know that pitbulls had to be trained to fight? SO it's not entirely on genetics they do play a role but it's not entirely genetics.

@@white_tiger9298 It is all about the humans who raise the dog, it is as simple as that. There is no inherently bad dog, there are dogs which got ruined because bad people handled them. Sadly some races (? I am not a native English speaker) are picked more by bad people. It sucks.

    • @white_tiger9298

@peterjansen4826 it truly does suck. I hate how many of these breeds are misunderstood. They do have a high prey drive, so it takes a responsible owner to have them, and a lot of bad people get them. 😞

If you like a mastiff type dog, this is the biggest one you can own. Giant couch potatoes. Not for everyone snd too big for me; I don’t have the room for one and I think about the food and cleanup requirements for this size Bully. Beyond my budget and the dog I can handle. Thanks for showing them to us! 😊

Please ignore the ignorance that people display in these comments about destroying this majestic and beautiful breed. Those comments are made by those who are sad and destroyed by life’s conditions. If they had any intelligence at all they would realize that they’re suggestions to destroy an entire breed due to a feeling they have, in turn makes them more dangerous than the breed they wish to destroy. We the people, across the pond, still stand with all of our bully families going through this awful time. That a government, any government could step in and cause such heartache to its own people by destroying their beloved pets and still claim to be civilized is truly a step in the wrong direction and should be an embarrassment to those serving in that government. 😢😢😢

These dogs are so powerful and need to be trained properly but unfortunately in probably 80% cases they are not cos people attracted to those are mostly lazy and take them as a trophy for showing off or for gang's fights in some cases and they shouldn't be in public really. It is like walking a tiger on the lid and they are dangerous because of ignorant owners. I agree with the UK Government re XL bullies, because in reality you can't do anything about the owners and never has been ...In my local park some owners are so ignorant and allowing their untrained dogs running around barking on children even babies or treating behaviors. I don't feel anymore comfortable in local park in London and avoiding, which is sad ....
