The temptation to take the easy road is always there. It can be as easy as sleeping in, but discipline is ultimately paramount to have success for a leader or team!
My goalie coach said, to my father, that I had preconditions no one else had, and he was referring to my laser-like focus, incredible work ethic and will power. Somehow, though, I lost all of that. But I've been working hard for more than a year now, trying to become disciplined again, and getting back that iron will power I used to have, and I'm proud to say that I'm back there. Now I'm dedicating hours of every day productively again, and I'm constantly moving towards my goals. I'm no longer a pro hockey prospect. I gave that up, and instead I'm now working towards becoming a Medical Doctor.
That's why mastermind groups on Facebook can be quite helpful, if people are truly connecting, engaging and developing friendships in those groups, they'll be more accountable and have someone to share their journey with. I believe accountability is really overlooked and underestimated, for a lot of us it can be the final step to achieving long lasting results. Thank you for the video 🌷
I like sharing my goals on social media, because it opens up doors and tips of ways to achieve them. I do have individual friends that I go into more personal goals. But if I am job hunting Or I am wanting to learn how to cook, and share that publicly The feedback and tips I get from multiple people Helps me significantly in getting closer to those goals. Almost like networking for improving.
When I see the words "goals", "tasks", "to do", etc, I just mentally shut down. Instead, I use the phrase "Plan of Attack". For some reason, this phrase is way more effective and Doesn't make me WANT to shut down. Part of my ADHD daily speed bumps... 🤷🏼
im 16 yo and still live with my parents. i have interest on drawing and want to become artist. but i don't have any friend that i can trust or care enough to me so can i use my mom as my "friend report"?? but my mom know nothing about drawing but she support me. can i still do it? (sorry for bad english, not my first language)
You definetly can just qork smart and never give up. If you are really passionate about that and work twards acheiving that goal you will . You just have to be confident and you will make it
Dont take your young age as a negative. I wished I was organized and goal oriented when I was 16. If you are serious about being an artist and have the mission in your mind at only 16 then you are in an elite fraternity amongst your peers. Most 16 year olds dont even care much beyond pop culture and girls, so to be goal driven and focused on self improvement at 16 is epic! Keep it up, make small daily gains and your success is all but guaranteed.
I have found that on-line communities help. Especially with goals that you don't share with face to face people. You will get great advice and you will find others who share your interest.
I have a question. What if I wrote these weekly reports but only kept them to myself, and held myself accountable? I genuinely think I could, and I also don't really have someone to report to. Do you think this could have some of the same effects as the group 5 in the video?
I'm amused, in a way, that the writer assumes you'll receive praise/support, for spreading word of your goal(s) online. He, apparently, has never had to wade through the muck that is vulgar online cynicism :/ .
*The successful warrior is the average man, with laser-like focus!*
Exactly
Nothing is average about success
*It's also important to have a goal that is NOT vague*
*and make small steps every day towards that goal*
