Is the procedure exactly same in the new Rippton Boat app? Does the sonar screen appear automatically in the corner of the control screen automatically?

Hi there this one shows the procedure of the Rippton Boat app. You might need to tap the sonar icon on the left to make the sonar window appear in the corner

I've just spent five hours doing what others class as a sign if insanity! I followed the foolproof method to the letter, over and over, but couldn't get the small sonar image on the app screen no matter what I tried. I removed the wifi for the boat and handset from my phone and then reconnected them with the passwords, to no avail. OMG I was tearing my hair out! Whatever I tried, it didn't work. So, I did a quick search on the Rippton Facebook threads and there it was.... Neil's 'things you must do to get the proper set-up!'( or words to that effect. Click on the fifth icon!!!!! And yes, it works. The mini screen appears and you can then do the rest as instructed in the tutorial.
So, having successfully done it I came back here to have a rant to find that Neil had actually posted an answer to my original question about this procedure!!
I just wish this had been included in the clip/tutorial in the first place.
      C'est la vie!
Edit: due to circumstances including ill-health, I'd forgotten about this. As I had only just purchased the boat, the routine had not yet been engrained. Onwards and upwards!
