- Damon from @DailyDrivenExotics back and is tired of taking L's on THIS vs THAT, ha! He brought his 2019 Lamborghini Aventador SVJ along with all 12 cylinders. But fellow Canadian Austin’s been playing with this Chevrolet C10 in his barn for a year, it's 4x4, v8 and has a turbo to make up for the lack of cylinders in this race. We love when opposite worlds collide, enjoy!

I dig that you guys keep having Damon on the show. I love the whole Hoonigan crew but honestly Damon catches a lot of very unfair hate and people think he’s cocky or arrogant and that’s just not the case. Yeah on camera he is a personality but I met him at a car show in LA a few years back, I had my daughter that was 5 at the time and he was so sweet and patient with her even tho people were screaming for his attention he acted like nobody else was even around. Damon is an awesome dude and I love the Hoonigan/DDE co-labs. Y’all need to build a car together

Dude. The pull we did in New Mexico was on a back road covered in dirt in minus 4°C. Truck wouldn’t hook at all.

2:09 SVJ stands for "Superveloce Jot." Superveloce means "superfast" in Italian, and Jota is a designation used for Lambos geared towards track performance.

I did not expect that truck to be 300 pounds lighter than the SVJ, damn. Good race!
And in fact dragtimes weighed the aventador svj to be at 3900 pounds, so truthfully the truck is 600 pounds lighter.
It's pretty bare so no wonder
With the box delete it cuts the weight down, so it makes sense...that and lambos are known for being heavy as shit.

I've watched probably all of This vs That, and this particular edition is the best yet. Two Canadians with totally mismatched vehicles and great banter between them raced hard, and the hodge podge truck finished ten minutes before the race actually won. I love it.
Damon in his priceless Lambo was totally cool with losing, because his car sounds like god singing, and he's always having fun, while the young bloke in somebody else's overalls is blown away with the fact he beat an awd Lambo in his first drag race.
This was the best drag race ever on this channel.

The C10 is definitely a build to be proud of, no testing, barley tuned it the day of, no clue on the power/psi etc... and dude got faster each run, he was getting comfortable for sure lol
The back half of this Silverado is sooo sick and perfect!! He knew exactly how to make his vision come to life.

Watching a kid who built a truck in a barn that looks like it's held together with JB weld and rust that would race and beat a Lamborghini is special.
It beats the Lambo only if the Lambo is handicaped. Square on, Lambo it's still faster. I'm all for underdogs too (I'm also too poor to ever afford an exotic) but let's not steal our own hats here.
@@mistreku Either way, he didn't get smoked straight up. This kind of racing isn't always about having the faster car, it's about who wins whatever races are setup. He also beat the Lamborghini off the line every single time. That's an accomplishment in itself
@@the_frankc It didn't actually beat it, the Lambo driver left late on all races, maybe on purpose. If they timed these races, I can guarantee you the Lambo had better times 0-60.
Damon's reaction time is nonexistent, if he actually reacted better at the drop then the lambo would smoke the c10
The thing with these supercars like Lamborghinis are they aren't built for drag racing, they combined speed, handling, aerodynamics etc. for places like racetracks.

YES! To all the small RUclipsr channels (myself included) revving your car sounds good, accelerating your car will always sound better! Take a couple more minutes after your revs and do an accel or fly-by!

I was in to this one so hard my dudes, yelled out and startled my dog. Builds like that are what’s up, nicely done with the Chevy Cadillac 4wd awesomeness.
I LOVE square body chevys. But I also LOVE the sounds out of the n/a V-12. But the garage build won me over. Stoked to see him take it. The sportsmanship was stellar.
