- "Have Courage & Be Pissed off"? For some reason, I'm starting to believe that's not Cinderella's right motto... Nevertheless, watch as this angry party princess runs into issues with everything from wig commissioners to rude party guests!
Unfortunately the momentum of my channel and my "I FAILED My DCP Character Audition & Here's Why" ( • I FAILED My DCP Charac... ) video is starting to die down -- which means a decline in views and all that fun youtube stuff. I know that's not THE point of documenting my journey here, but I'd be lying if I didn't say the success made me really happy. I know I trashed the wig in this video *pretty hard*, so I don't want to link the commissioner and hurt their business. As an Etsy stylist myself, I know firsthand how bad reviews and feedback can stun a growing shop & I don't want to be that force of negativity for them. (Especially since I haven't made up my mind on how much was actually their fault and how much of it was just my massive head...)
On the other hand, the GORGEOUS dress is from Angel Secret and I splurged to get the one with fancy embroidered fabric-- totally worth it! angel-secret.c....

Whenever I’m high I watch these videos and idk why
You are so funny! Whenever I need to cover up a spot for a character job, I do a base of moisturizer with a wet beauty blender all over my face. Next, I put e.l.f Poreless Face Primer directly on the spot. The primer is really slick and it'll moisturize any of your drier spots. If the spot is really bad, I put some green concealer on to combat the redness! That does the trick for me! :)
Woah, thank you for all the comprehensive tips! My issue is always with the really dry spots that refuse to be covered by pigment, moisturizer is my best friend but maybe I need to lather on the primer too. :)
okay FIRST you're such a beautiful Cinderella!! she's my favorite princess and you look incredible!! SECOND what eyeshadow is that it looks amazing and I can never find blue eyeshadow that works for me whenever I'm going to parties with Cinderella. THIRD your editing on this video ROCKS!!
Ouch, my heart -- I'm beautiful, talented at makeup, and a good editor?!?!?!? I thought this day would never come, haha.
Got distracted by flattery, but I digress.
The eyeshadow is a mixture of a million different things but if I remember correctly, the most prominent features were "Blue Rhythm" and "So Demure" from the Sephora Minnie Mouse Eyeshadow Palette (I love her, she's an absolute babe of a palette) and a blue glitter I bought off of Amazon in like a pack of 25 (I've been on a glitter kick for princess makeup lately) attached with the NYX glitter adhesive primer! Hope that helps :))))

The struggle of having a wig that is too small for your head... I've been there. I'm glad the party went well despite the issues leading up to it. Also, Belle is my favorite too and I would have had a similar reaction.
All of it was internal at least, Cinderella just smiled nodded and wrote down the license plate number to schedule a little chat later...

I literally just came across your videos the Disney auditions and have watched about 4. You make me laugh to much. My thoughts to you is keep doing what your are doing, when things get tough it only means you are stretching beyond your limit and that is what makes us grow. One day you will look back at your videos a probably laugh as hard as I did today. Also, thank you for keeping content clean and genuine... just being yourself.

you're such a sweet person! i immediately came here after my first ever gig as the snow queen and i was legit crying when i got home because two huge groups of kids were horribly rude, like pointing at me calling me fake and that i'm wearing a wig/my hands aren't cold so i dont have ice powers/telling other kids that i was fake, all while the parents either filmed the whole thing or just stood there watching their children being so awful. you made my day a lot better so thank you natalie. what do you do/say when things like that happen? one of the groups of rude kids told me they weren't leaving until i showed them my ice powers and another little girl was standing by wanting to get a picture with me (this was at a movie theatre event to promote frozen)

also as someone who used to do cosplay and has a huge head, arda wigs is a great place to buy wigs and they have a big selection of colors and styles! also they have huge wig caps and as someone who has a lot of hair, when i braid and pin it down it fits real well. also gel to get the whispy hairs out of the way helps too!

BTW Thank you for the suggestion and I'm happy to say I actually have bought from Arda before! I really like their stuff and would buy from them again in a heartbeat, except I finally had the money to splurge on a styled wig (the first time I've even ever done so). I was kinda intimidated about styling an updo wig myself hence why I purchased one from a commissioner. The downfall is that I trusted them to pick a good base wig and it happened to not fit me... disappointing.
Oh well though, I'll make do next time! There's always a fun princess experience around the corner. :)

Cue me watching all your videos because I miss doing princess parties so much!! (what the heck covid) The car temper losing was so relatable oh my GOSH. As someone also with really dark hair and a huge head boy do I know the cinderella (and elsa) wig struggle haha. Whenever I'm running late its like the wig is extra small and there's absolutely no neck coverage. The ending made me so nostalgic wow, with the happy mood and song. Dang i miss it and love seeing glimpses of this from your videos!

Congratulations that your appearance is a huge success. Great job with coming up with explaining to the kids, why your eyes are brown, & not blue. I’m glad that you didn’t wear the blue contacts, because you might have eye damage that effects your sight. One year, I dressed up as Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games for Halloween, & despite of the fact that I didn’t wear gray eye contacts (based on the book description), plus I didn’t have a bow & arrow, everyone who saw me know who I am dressed up as. Most importantly, I’m glad that the birthday girl enjoyed your appearance as Cinderella. BTW.. I love your make-up, especially the eye-shadow.

loving your videos. Heads up for the Etsy stuff as we've done that too. Try selling wigs when they are fully styled so they're ready to ship rather than taking an order and then having to meet someone else's deadline. Also, capezio dance tights are what they wear at disney under their costumes along with a pair of bloomers. Comes in handy for playspace parties, cold days for extra warmth, and hot days for sweaty feet.

For spots on your face that you want to cover, do your full foundation then take a tiny brush and dip into your foundation for precise application. I will put a dot on the main part and then essentially feather out the edges to diffuse into the surrounding skin. Hope this made sense.

You could totally use eyeshadow for the hairs that just never cooperate so that your hair is still the wig color. Some colors don’t work, but for like Ariel it totally works
I've actually heard that trick before! Never really needed to use it because all my other wigs have much better coverage, but nice to have a hint in my back pocket :)

I remember you saying something about colored contacts, so would that work for glasses as well? I wear glasses, I don’t have enough money for contacts, and my mom doesn’t really like me going places without my glasses. I think I have an idea of what I could say if I were dressed as Ariel: (“Well, sometimes, it’s difficult for someone’s eyes to transition from being in the water then being on land.”) Though I’m not sure what I could say for other characters

honestly I understand completely what you mean! I'm only 19 but there are so many things I wanna do and I don't think I need to be in college to do them. I really wanna plan kids parties and do face painting and stuff. I also love teaching kids art and i teach art classes but i wanna open my own studio and charge for that. I feel as though college is so expensive and I'm having so much fun actually working rather then sitting in a class room :( ps. I love you videos and you are so gorgeous!
Yeah, college is a catch 22. I know it's a great safety net and way to show you are not only educated in your major's field but also that you can be dedicated and put in a lot of time & effort. Then again that safety net is so freaking expensive and time-consuming. Just because I need the support of my parents for the time being and the fact that I do want to keep my options open -- I'm going to stick with it. Hard to say what the right choice is, but I'm not ready to throw caution to the wind yet.
@@NatalieEverAfter Going to school, is a wise decision. It definitely opens doors to the kind of jobs and people you meet along the way. Perhaps Photography & business classes would go well with your interests, Princess Charming Events & job security/independence. Or become a dentist & work Monday -Thursday and have fun doing whatever the other days :) Dream big.

That's understandable, but don't let it stop you if princessing is something you really want to pursue. There are tons of princess companies in need of more POC actresses! I'm sure they wouldn't mind adding another talented lady to their cast :)
Maybe be your own kind of princess, not a Disney character princess? I saw pictures of a famous actor who hired some fairy princesses for her daughter's birthday and the were wearing ballgowns, fairy wings and flower halos...you could be the b-day girl's very own fairy godmother or like Rose the fairy princess who hosts the perfect princess tea party @ Disney. Real princesses are unique, just like you! :)

Okay, I’ve had so many frustrating moments especially with my Cinderella wig!!! Seeing this actually made me feel like it’s not just me😂 in my opinions that’s the most difficult wig! Also quick question, can you be belle, jasmine, Snow White, or Moana with blue eyes?!?! Cuz if the colored contacts are uncomfortable then I don’t really know what I’m gonna do with those characters then😂 ideas?!?

So in my opinion, Belle or Snow with blue eyes is no bigger of a deal than me playing Cindy with brown. HOWEVER, I really don't think Moana or Jasmine should, only because it generally means that a white person is portraying them: which should never be the case. Racial representation via princesses is monumentally important, I can't support any white person dressing up as another race for monetary gain.

I could see you doing this for the next ten years, and you may get a little tired/it feels like work/don’t always do it for fun anymore. That’s when I felt compelled to raise my prices and really got picky about gigs (I’m a hooper and fire dancer)

When you’re being hired for a company do you normally have to be in the same area as that company? When I’m a better age I’m hoping to start going into princessing but for right now I’m just looking into it and I could use all the help I can get thanks!
Most companies will require you live within a certain mile radius of their home base where they store costumes (Oh! and you have to have a valid drivers license & reliable transportation). Since I run my own company though, my boss is pretty chill ;)

I lost my temper last night, i teach line dancing at a bar and i had some people complain about the dance i was teaching last night and i was sooooo over it and totally cried afterwards in my car lol

Haha, I know what you mean. Entertaining can sometimes feel like a business where you need to sacrifice your feelings for your craft and that isn't always true. It's important to be authentic and upfront, when you're giving quality service, people are going to enjoy it regardless!
