Edwin Diaz has thrown 104 pitches in his last five days. What an incredible effort
This vid gets a thumbs up just for Will rocking the Mets gear like he isn't a sour red sox fan.
Not gonna let sour grapes ruin the cheese plate!
You’re an absolute 1 liner machine, Will. 100% legend lol
An all-time baseball moment. Insane. Especially after that drop that nearly got him thrown into the Hudson River.
Will went from pajamas to player in a day.
Ya never know when that call is comin
I think this is going to be the two best Nlds of all time🎉
OCTOBER IS HERE BOYS LET'S ENJOY IT!!
You simply could not script it any better, think about it... Top of the 9th, down by two with two on and one out in a winner-take-all game, the rubber game of a 3 game series tied 1-1 ... Pete Alonso comes to the plate, with free agency pending this could be his final at bat as a Met where he started his stellar career in Queens, in a stretch where he has been slumping (a season where he has been slumping), under fire for a season of lack of production based on historical standards. First pitch, strike... looking.. ball 1.... looking ball 2.... looking more again, ball 3.... then whammmmmm the ball sails over the right field fence, in any other season a typical away pitch HR he excelled at as he went with those outside pitches whereas this season he kept missing missing missing that outside slider away. He found his oppo stroke at just the right time... amazing, fairytale... again, you cannot script it any better.
What a Comeback!!!!
The best ninja!
Robin Venturas walk off grand single is now my second favorite Mets homerun of all time
I agree that credit is for Alonso. Williams was tipping his pitches, but batter still needs to execute. A little bit more down movement on the ball and that is likely a hard liner or even a ground out.
Reminds me of listening to Jed Hoyer talk about how Kris Bryant would get upset that the pitches that were coming in weren't moving to spot he felt they should have.
End of the day, you can have the info, but still have to put wood on the ball.
I rarely watch games live anymore but saw this happen on TV. Was on the phone to my wife who doesn’t know anything about baseball and I was shitting on him for the error and not signing an extension with the Mets. I was like the Cleveland fan from Major League after the Dong of the Decade cheering him on 😂
Williams was tipping bad. Jomboy broke it down.
He may have been slightly tipping, but not "tipping bad." I literally show it in the video side by side. It could have been why the pitch got hit, but every changeup that he's given up a homer on has been in relatively the same position (up). It's more than equally likely that he was told to "look changeup and adjust" and he just got a pitch he could handle. We'll never know unless Alonso says it (and him saying Williams wasn't tipping wouldn't necessarily mean he wasn't, since hitters usually wouldn't tell). Williams throws only 2 pitches, so if you're sitting changeup, you're probably gonna get one a few at some point in the AB. On a 3-1 count, he very well could've been selling out on a changeup and got one he could drive oppo.
@@PitchingNinjaVideos I think it seems a little more obvious in the Nimmo at bat.
100% Alonso just won the battle. Every batter knows the airbender is coming at some point. Pete was ready and did not miss.
MY GUY WILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!
🫂
That tittle could probably be taken out of context. If this channel wasn't a baseball channel oh boy a homerun wouldn't be the tyoe of dong that's being thought of. Oh well at least the type being talked about is a homerun
Big Sexy's homerun is the most important homerun in Mets history
Quintana...cajones, intelligence, heart
I mean, thought that ATL/NYM DH was incredible...but the playoffs are taking it to another level.
The Amish Ace is preparing to post at least 30 quality starts next year…..and he will be motivated to show how important a quality starter is for each and every game.
"Diaz knows not to celebrate too hard" - lol, i thought the same thing when i watched it live. He probably cringed a lil when he saw Peterson jumping up and down.
Can we take a second to appreciate 3 Series will be separated by a combined total of 380 miles. And 1 series by 1200 miles.
The dong? I mean, it’s big, but is it dong big?
It may just be because I’m a rangers fan, but I would argue Corey Seager’s game 1 homer last year is the dong of the decade
I said two months ago Detroit could get ripping and make the playoffs if their schedule worked out just right. I should've submitted a playoff bracket for money. This is the literal bracket I explained to my cousin, don't you just wish we could monetize our inebriated thoughts.
Geez at least Will finally changed clothes
I’ll change your face
Wow, even Ninja on the bandwagon
I’m placing a bet that ALONSO SIGNS AS FREE AGENT WITH METS FOR 2025
DET-NYM WS
Dodgers
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
expanded playoffs and wild card spots are dumb as hell. mediocre teams dont belong in the playoffs and never will. 70-80 win teams dont belong in the playoffs
