  • A true Sith does not act impulsively. We do not strike the moment we are wronged, nor do we allow our enemies to see the blow coming. Revenge, like power, is best served after careful planning and patience. It is in this waiting that we become stronger, and our enemies, more vulnerable.

This video completely changed how I think about handling conflict. I used to react instantly when someone wronged me, letting my emotions take over. But after watching this, I learned the power of waiting and planning. Recently, I faced a situation where I stayed calm and bided my time instead of lashing out.

I used to act like a Sith, but then started to embrace the ways of the Jedi. Now that I am in my mid-thirties, and am constantly getting kicked around, I am starting to understand the allure and appeal of the Dark Side. I will do my best to implement these teachings to enact vengeance upon my enemies when they are most vulnerable.

I am deeply indebted to this universe, but perhaps most greatly to my enemies. My bridge to victory shall be crafted of their bones.
I also really like the idea of Palpatine doing one of these! Just from my own observation of Sith Lords in action, I've probably taken the most life lessons out of his book (when you build in silence, they don't know what to attack, thinking on your feet allows you to adapt your plans to unforseen obstacles, etc.)

I've always been quick to react when someone wronged me, letting my emotions dictate my actions. But after watching this, I plan to shift in how I handle situations. Good. You are beginning to understand the true power of patience and calculated action. Maul’s extremities serve as a reminder of what raw passion can achieve, but controlled, precise strikes yield the most devastating results. Let this lesson guide you as you harness your emotions and use them to your advantage. In time, you will see how true power is achieved.

Reminds me of a game of Risk that I played with three friends. One of them would always camp out in Australia and use that cheap strategy to win over and over. Finally I got everyone to try the new Star Wars edition with a more balanced map. He couldn’t use the cheap camping strategy but was still a capable strategist. But I showed him the power of sith manipulation. We formed an unofficial agreement to ignore each other and go after the other two players. It was a race to win the most territory and end the game. A race I allowed him to think he was winning. My forces looked like they were stalling but as he was just a few turns from victory I attacked. My army rolled through his undefended territory and his forces were too spent from his final push to stop me. Revenge was sweet on that day.

"Don't be afraid. There's nothing there." - That's what they always told me. But the night my parents were murdered, I knew I had seen something in the dark of that night. I searched for it a long time, cloaked myself in the darkness, learning it, understanding it, merging with it. I realized in its depths, where light cannot escape, there was only one thing to fear: myself. I became the shadow. I became vengeance. I became the man Night City doesn't deserve.
    I became Murk Man.
I deliver the vengeance, destruction and justice necessary to save this dying city from itself. And I will do so until the day my heart no longer beats inside my chest.
