Hi Sam. Thanks for arranging the sew frugal challenge. I’m very happy with my makes. I enjoyed seeing your makes and what worked well and the challenges. Well done for persevering with the dress. You’ve got it fitting well. 👏😀❤️
Some lovely makes, I really like the Frau Maerz dress. The print is really bold and summery, maybe it will grow on you when we get the hot weather. (What am I saying, this is the UK but we can live in hope)
Thank you 🤗 ha ha, yes that one day in August I may be able to wear it 🤣 you're right it will be a great summer dress, I think it will be easy to wear on city breaks too 🤗
Tian’s Closet has a size chart and I noticed that the patterns are a little smaller. Thank you for introducing this new designer (She is very generous in making them available for free.) I love her designs and plan to sew more of them. Great 2023 start and your makes are lovely. Appreciate your hard work.
I really enjoyed the sewfrugal challenge. I made two of the Tiana’s closet patterns. The Nomi and the Karyn ruffle detail too. The Karyn went together perfectly. I like them both but I struggled with the cutting lines on the Nomi. I really love her patterns. Thank you for all the time and work you out into the challenge.
I love your tunicNd think it looks very pretty o you. A good one to turn to on a hot day. Also the calouttes2 look lovely. Thanks for the great challenge of sewfrugal23. Whilst I never got to participate because of being too busy, I work alot with refashioning and upcoming fabrics already. And the free pattern aspect it a whole other aspect. Congratulations to both you and Ruan. Very well done, I fully recognise the large amount of work. April challenges now await. All the best and happy sewing 😊❤
Thank you, yes it will be great for the summer I think, glad that you enjoyed the challenge even if you didn't get time in March, hopefully you'll get chance some other time 🤗
The Sara pants look lovely. I was pondering the tunic pattern but think perhaps I'll leave it now, thanks for the honest feedback. Definitely going to try a Tiana's Closet pattern though. Thanks for all your hard work on the challenge
I made a Charlie Caftan a few years back which I ended up being ambivalent about. So I put it away and pulled it out the next summer. I actually ended up liking it better than I thought. Maybe giving the yellow print dress a timeout would have the same effect. Btw, I quite like your dress - cool and breezy!
I love listening to you. You have a good voice to listen to. I love your choice of patterns. I would love to make some of them but I recently fell and broke my right femur so I am, unfortunately, laid up in bed. I enjoy watching you frugal 23 and the winners. Keep up the great work!!
Hello, that was fabulous you have made some lovely clothes. I like all of them but the issue you had with the vest gaping at the back of the neck, well I tend to find I need to make adjustments on just about everything I make for this reason. It is not a problem I just change the patterns or make my own but I am glad it is not just me. Also I have a book called Sew What Skirts I have had it years and I have made loads of skirts using that method of making your block/measurements, it wasn't expensive and is a cute little book. Thank you so much for the challenge it was really good fun and I have seen lots of other things I am interested in for future too. Have a great week.🙂
Thanks Dianne, glad you enjoyed the challenge, it's fun but exhausting! I'll have a look out for the book. I think the problem I had with the tee was more the fabric choice than anything, although I am noticing I'm getting more round shouldered as I get older - oh the joys 🤣
Thank you for taking on the Frau Maerz dress! I loved the image as well but as a beginner, I think I would have felt super defeated with all the fitting adjustments you had to do.
Thank you, all lovely makes! Can I just ask a quick qu about the top you’re wearing, please? Is it woven? It looks beautiful! On the website I was convinced it said stretch only…(I know I should be more daring and experiment but I find it so hard to ‘break a rule!’)
Hi Stephanie, thank you. It's the Nomi blouse which is designed for woven fabric, Tians suggested cotton or linen but I have used a viscose which I prefer for anything with ruffles/gathersing etc

You're welcome Nadia, you're shorts & top were fab 👍

Those pants are really lovely. I really enjoyed the challenge and i made three garments.
Thanks Jennifer glad that you enjoyed the challenge & you managed to make something 👍

You're welcome, yes she is very generous sharing so many free patterns, it must be a real labour of love & I like a lot of them too 🤗

Great idea Rhonda, yes, I'll pull it out when it's a bit warmer & I'm sure it'll grow on me 👍
I believe the Maerz Tunic will look less overwhelming in the summer when you have some tan, lift your hair up and how about a hat? Nice video!
Thank you, yes I’ll revisit it when it’s t gets a bit warmer 👍

Aw so sorry to hear about you break Carol, that must be incredibly painful, hope that you are recovering well 🤗
Great trousers!
Thanks Jan 🤗

You are so welcome! I guess it's also personal taste - it's meant to be oversized but I don't especially like that look on me
Loving this!!
Thank you 🤗
Your makes are wonderful. So stylish hard to believe they are "see frugal"😅
Aw thank you Anne 🤗
All great makes ❤ lovely to see what you made in March. I made a couple of things too, thanks for hosting again xx
Thanks Becky 🤗
