No. If you were to wear a saddle while hunting out of a hand on. You may just slide out of it during a fall. Saddles are designed to pull you into the tree in you fall
I know Josh doesn't do it, but its funny how many stand hunters talk smack about saddles but you can see this works best and the similarities it has to just using a saddle 🤣
I heard Dan is making a platform so we might see some of the beast guys in saddles soon. I personally tried a saddle last year but I actually prefer the stand still but I can see why people do like it, just wasn't for me.
@@usernamehere6061 lol or maybe people like different things. I ran a saddle most of last year, with 3 different platforms and ring of steps. I did purchase the phantom and John is 100 percent right with the two piece saddles.
Love the videos Josh!
Thank You Josh!!! Stay Safe!!!
Thanks bro! Beast Fundamentals never get old. That's a compact setup! 😀
Nice review, I’ve been looking at the TBWS harness as well
I do the same thing with my saddle when hunting from a treestand, like it a lot better then a harness
Great review of an fantastic harness!
Thanks Josh! Great video
Mine is on the way!
My mobile stand seat is a mini cooper steering wheel.
So are you sticking with this setup for next (2023) season? Thanks. Great video!
Yes I am!
Thanks for sharing Josh, what kind of buckles did you get on the harness?
What ropeman ascender do you have? I only found onea for 10mm rope and up. Seems like most rope now is 8mm
What buckles?
Fixed.
Quick connect pass thru.
Cobra style.
What if you get to hanging upside down, with the pivot point at the waist seems more dangerous.
Depending on size and agility I'm sure
Was thinking same thing
Josh, another great video. What is the cost of all of that gear?
Do u still like it after some use?
Anyone have any input on the XOP The Holiday harness?
never use it
Isn’t this the same thing as wearing a saddle in a tree stand?
No. If you were to wear a saddle while hunting out of a hand on. You may just slide out of it during a fall. Saddles are designed to pull you into the tree in you fall
Do you find burr oak acorns helpful at all in deer hunting?
Yep deer seem to like em
Bowline knot
Just convert, Josh! No judgement from the saddle hunters!

@@PizzaSteveNY Everyone says that but I'm convinced its lack of experience and incorrect setup

@@PizzaSteveNY I hear you.
Bowline
That looks uncomfortable as heck and bulky?
Please keep the slack out of your tether.
step 1. use a "saddle" for a safety harness
step2. hunt from a saddle
just join the saddle craze too. its fun to hunt from
It is in no form a saddle. You wouldn't want to use it as a saddle more than a few minute.
it doesn't look like it would be comfy as a saddle. hope it works good for you! have a great season! stay safe!
