Thank you for coming to my initial envoy interview with me and being supportive in that process!
Christy is awesome…..so many pilots try to act too cool for school nice to see someone just being normal…love her 😍🥰
Thank you Taking Off, your amazing sponsors, and huge Kudos to Envoy for removing the secrecy of the Regional aircrew life! ❤️🛩️
Our pleasure!
May your flights always be uneventful and routine. The 100k subs is getting nearer :)
Christy you did an incredible job and it's an honor to get a glimpse into your career. Thank you for taking the time to bring us along with you and I look forward to more of these.
Great vlog, Christy! Thank you for taking us along. It would be exciting to be an airline pilot. Thanks to Envoy for allowing you to invite us along, as well. The Embraier is a really nice aircraft. The ram's horns are surprisingly comfortable to use even though I only flew it about. 5 in a full motion simulator. Keep the vlogs coming. We love to see you and put ourselves in your shoes. You're so natural in front of the camera.
I left American a few years ago after an 11 year stint. One of the best companies I've ever worked for! I've been on those 175's many times! Great video!!
Thank you for sharing Christy
Love this and can hardly wait for more!
Thanks Christy! It was super amazing to see you in your "natural environment", and good on Envoy for letting you show as much as you could!
Cool video. Thanks Christy!
Great job Christy. Thank you for taking us along with you. It is cool to see someone who loves their job. Keep up the excellent work as always. Safe skies 🇺🇸🛩️
That was an awesome vlog. I would just be so flustered to do what you just did. Honestly I am in awe of you and how talented you are.
What a treat to see what your flying career is like! Thank you!
Great information as always!
Great job. Christy you did an awesome job. Can’t wait to see more
Awesome.
Excellent work!
Good stuff! Thanks for the great content.
This is awesome! We need more of this!

Christy,
Thank you for shooting this and thanking you for being just you. The truth can be enjoyable and entertaining.
Thanks again.
Pretty cool. Don't stress. We're always gonna watch.
Christy is such an inspiration! Great job, I pray you will have safe flight every single time until you retire!
way to GO!! bring'em on
Great job Christy!
good for you, glad you enjoy your flying career. wow, kudos to you for supporting Lt. Dan's foundation, Gary is a true American Treasure with his band, supporting our troops, and his all his good work. I was Nam 1970-71
Thank you Christy! Looking forward to when you make Captain!
This is awesome!!!
Please do more of these videos, this is fantastic.
keep em coming!!
OK ... I am flying Envoy next time for sure!.. Great Video!
This is pretty awesome!
Great episode, Christy. Looking forward to more trip vlogs. I really enjoyed the little comedy snips spliced in. Keep up the good work on both sides of the camera!!!😅😂😊❤
Thumbs up 👍 thanks for sharing!
💥❤EPIC! ❤💥As a rusty Private Pilot that can't stop looking up, this is PERFECT! Can only imagine that for the mere mortals/muggles, (none pilots...😝), this content is just as fun. From the raw and genuine Christy to the top shelf post production/overlays/transitions.💥❤
For Christy... the footage you recorded for the post editors to use, EPIC! 💫PLEASE please keep the camera rolling. I am sure you have no idea how personable and magnetic your on camera personality truly is! Your genuine nature lends to the amazing integrity that obviously attracted Dan to you as a host. Don't change, just hit record and continue being Christy!
For Dan... please take your post crew out for a celebration dinner, they deserve it! This new phase of Taking off.... TOP SHELF! You just might some day get close to BrYan's subscription base.... 😜Be sure to include Christy in that dinner.
Good one!
Excellent 👍
This is really cool
Cool video! Made me smile. Cheers from Winnipeg.
Congratulations on being Envoys next brand ambassador. Maybe you can do a part 91 flight like the last guy. Nice job
👍☑ Tks Christy!
Great video. I've probably worked on that particular aircraft somewhere along the line.
You do so much better without a script. Love it.
Great video
Good on you Christy 👍😊✌️💜
Hi FO Christy from Sydney Australia. That was terrific, really good stuff.
🌏🇭🇲
You did great. 🎉 good job 👏 keep it up
Great job, unscripted is real life and great to watch! Looking forward to more videos like this.
Well done that girl.
Thank you to all who made this video possible from First Officer Christy to Envoy. This was awesome!
I'm a student pilot and end goal is to fly regional......Envoy happens to be the top airline on my list to fly for so this video IS a keeper.
PS..now I know what plane to go after! Lol
That is awesome!
I knew Reece when I did my flying school back in 2015! Super nice guy, please send my best regards to Him! Safe flight as always 🥳🤝🏻
Cold weather is not easy!
Didn’t realize you joined us here at envoy! 🤦🏻♂️ At any rate welcome aboard and just may be seeing you during recurrent one of these years.
I’ll be around for a while! 🙌 It’s great to meet other Envoy pilots.
Even with flight piece left out, it was fun to see how the sausage is made. With the push for pilot trainees, your point of view is so valuable. Like pretty much every element of our country, what we mostly see are middle-aged white guys (I’m one) running things. It’s important for girls to see people they can identify with in important, professional careers. Thanks for sharing.
Christy, you're car has standard transmission... and your a GIRL! I LOVE YOU! KOOL!
Welcome to KHSV! My wife flew in from DFW a few weeks ago & I wondered if I knew anyone associated with the flight. (Still don’t know but it’s neat to speculate) Safe travels!
j enjoyed this video
Glad you enjoyed it!
I enjoyed the flight . . . I look forward to the day when you will be allowed to film the entire flight.
Congrats on the job. And FWIW, fellow "standard" driver here...a shame we are a dwindling crowd.
Phoenix, AZ
Big fan of you and this channel going way back to when you showed off your Piper!!! Makes me (sort of) wish I was still in DFW.. But I like the Dakotas better.. lol Congrats on the success.
Great work :) Need more 'aaahhs' in the passenger brief. Not a proper airline pilot without it.
😂
You're such a cute first officer!!!
Huntsville but the animation flew to Birmingham. :-) Love following along with you Christy.
Oh I might have messed that up
Cool! I always liked those small jets! What kind of car are you driving? From the little we could see it looked like my much beloved 2003 Audi A4 !? Thanks much! Fast flights and soft landings, --gary
Nice job, Christy. Did you stop in Birmingham, like the map in your video showed?
Loved this! You did a great job! 🎉 What time do you have to be at the airport before your flight departs?
I’m there usually an hour ahead of time. Our sign in time is 45 mins prior to departure.
Remember Boise!🤣
Epic trip
I was looking forward to this video - I'm sure it was weird to make. Swayne Martin had several videos with Envoy, so I suspected they would be good with your filming. Too bad the FAA won't allow video while flying, but there are lots of those videos from foreign airlines. Great job!
Very Cool that you have followed your dream. Glad that you shared your experiences as a Part 121 Pilot. Have watched you and Dan for several years. Really liked the episode where you and Dan interviewed the 2 AG Pilots and talked AG Flying. Did you ever consider Part 137 AG Flying? Looking forward to more videos on your travels as a Part 121 Pilot.
Thanks for watching these past few years! Can't speak for Christy-- but I would have loved flying Ag, but to get into takes a lot of time and money... similar to airlines.
Did I see Christy driving a stick shift? I meean... if she can fly an EJ 175 that's no big deal, but I'm impressed! Thanks for the awesome video!
Yes, my little “airport car” is a 5 speed manual. I love that car! 😊
Christy, I have been waiting for this. you and Dan have teased it some. Thank you so much for sharing with us, we do appreciate it. BTW was that you changing gears in your car ? lol All us pilot folks try to get all we can from the car world so we can fly. hahahah Take care and thanks again. Groovy Man !!!!!
Haha yes, my airport car is a manual.
In unrelated news… Envoy flight bound for Huntsville mistakenly lands in Birmingham. Long time fan of the channel, enjoyed the video and I am writing this from Birmingham.
Yeah I messed up, lol
Great vlog! I love that airplane- would love to hear greater detail about your impressions of that model aircraft and it's features and capabilities. A lot of my friends are afraid to fly in the 'connection' class jets , but I think they are fantastic. Modern, Super fast, logistically efficient, available gate check and gate retrieval of carryon bag, overall less stressed/less rowdy passenger mob leads to a more relaxed cabin crew. kinda Makes me feel like i'm on a business jet..
Thanks Gann-- I'll ask Christy to give us more info on your good questions in future episodes.
@@TakingOff roger that - thanks !
Christy is cool.
Would you tell us about your OE check ride time? After you got typed in the SIM, then moved into the aircraft with the company check pilot until he signs you off, what exactly is the actual transition like going from a ASEL Cessna prop job to a jet on those first takeoffs and landings? That first takeoff and the first ride down final on your first landing in that 175. Does the captain have take the controls during those first hours until the newbie gets the hang of it? Thanks! PS, you may want to hit the gym to get into shape.
❤
With my trucking company, I have an assigned truck that only I drive. Do you pilots have assigned aircraft or do you fly whichever plane is on your route?
Thanks for the video...very fascinating
Is the shirt and tie compulsory standard attire across all airlines?
Do you report to an office for weather and crew briefing?
❤❤❤❤
Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷☀️☀️☀️🎊🎊🎶🎶🎶🕊️🕊️🕊️⛱️⛱️⛱️🌴🌴🌴🌴
So if you can go inverted in a Warrior I’m thinking it’s no sweat in a 175.
OK, so I hear this all the time from pilots, "we will try and make up some time inflight" or "we were able to make up some time inflight" what the heck does that mean??? and if you can make up time why not do it all the time? Do pilots just enjoy flying so much they usually prolong the flight? ;-) Great video Christy, Waiting for jumpday!!!
I’m in envoy ramp agent at BHM we get flight from DFW all the time do you still fly this route?
Shout out to #RowingYourOwnGears
🙌🏼
Wait a second! Did you get diverted from Huntsville to Birmingham (ref. map around 4:53)?? I mean, yeah, they're both in Alabama, but they're not the same place... 😃
BTW, my Grumman Tiger is based at HSV and I routinely fly commercially out of DFW so maybe you'll be part of my flight crew soon! Sure could have used you back on 24 Mar when AA ended up canceling our flight due to lack of a first officer (and we had to spend the night in Dallas).
Have you flown with captain Hernan
Thanks for sharing! I was pretty dead set against going to the airlines. But after this past week at sun n fun and talking to a lot of people. I’m not going to rule it out. Because of the fact that Envoy agreed to let you talk about them on your channel, I would strongly consider them for a position over others just off that alone. Of course other factors will come into play but that alone says a lot about the company that is attractive to me.
You are also a good representation of their company. I have met some airline pilots that I am not so sure I’d be wanting to fly with.
Especially as a passenger.
It was great meeting you face to face at SnF!!!
@@TakingOff likewise!
@@gtm624cargo is better. I spent 5 years at the regionals and the last 6 at a cargo carrier. Cargo is 10 times better than pax carriers.
Good job on the video , catch your breath 😅😂😂
Hope Envoy is still hiring in 2025! I've lived in 3 of the 4 cities where yall are based, including Dallas.
Did you land in Birmingham and intend to land in Huntsville? BHM or HSV, oh heck, its all in Alabama, I guess.
Thanks for sharing.
That would be Christmas Adam
You drive stick shift, Yay!
If your car didn't almost start at 23⁰ time for a battery. In North Dakota our cars start at minus 30⁰
Nice video. Very concerned that you were so out of breath walking to your car.
She had about two minutes to spare before her parking increased by a lot so she ran to the car.
I was running out to make it out of the parking lot before the 6 hour limit was up! I didn’t think Dan would keep that footage in. 🤣🤣🤣
@@pilotchristy Great Channel! Glad to hear the circumstances. Take Care ! Looking forward to more content as it suits your schedule.
Christy, have you had anyone who watches the channel recognize your voice over the planes intercom?
Great question, I know she’s had people recognize her in the plane- not sure if over the intercom.
Teeny tiny jet. 🤣
Whats the FAA's beef with filming a flight in the cockpit?
