Because of this incident the songs 4 o clock and friends were made, V and Jimin were interviewed again about their song Friends on the map of the soul album, there they explained that V and Jimin met at this park when Jimin was still drunk (as he explained in this video that he drunk alcohol that day). So that day at the park is what V describes in his song 4 o clock.
I always thought it was funny how Jimin keeps shortening the time they spent angry with each other each time he tells the story, and V keeps lengthening it. Their latest account, Jimin claimed they made up right away, and V says it took two weeks, lol.
Because of the incident, we have 2 songs : Friends and 4 o'clock. V wrote the 4 o'clock song with the help from RM. It was a story about how V is waiting for Jimin at 4 am. That was when Jimin was out drinking......
If you want more context on the incident you should react to the 3 unit stage festa 2020 videos, there’s three of them. I’ll put the links in the replys
I think arguments *can* make friends much closer, depending on how they are navigated. If you sort of sweep it under the rug, 'forget' about it, and move on, I think it will ultimately cause greater division in the relationship. But if the arguments teach you how to open up and communicate with each other and understand each other on a deeper level, I think it definitely has the potential to strengthen a bond.
Yeah, I think that's right. I've heard a saying like this. How it was explained to me was that you fight to resolve things. However, if you don't fight you end up bottling everything inside. That communication then disappears. And like Jimin said, a lot of the time after their fights they would have deep conversations that brought them closer. Very little relationships are perfect from the start. You may fight quite often, but if you talk about it, your relationship will be stronger.
“Arguing makes it closer!” is old Korean proverb. As a Korean I would try my best to explain this more but please understand that English is not my first language. Korean people think that between any good relationships, there are always moments of disagreements, misunderstandings & difficulties. That is the base meaning of this proverb. Of course this is all base on good basic personality of both parties & willingness to listen, learn & work together to build stronger relationships. In the past, all the BTS members said Jimin & V are the one who argues the most but also closest among BTS members. RM also said he wish to have friendship like Jimin & V who is same age & always sticks together thick & thin, even though there is JHope who is same age as RM. In my opinion & few other Korean Army who has been with BTS from almost the beginning, among the BTS members, Jimin & V has the most different personalities. Jimin is more a group oriented person, rules follower, hold extreme self control, very driven & work hard. V is more of a free spirits, like to do his own ways, playful, bit more of a take it easy kind of person. And they are both a bit stubborn. As other BTS members said, because of this, at the beginning they’ve argued a lot like dumping incident but they’ve always became closer after their arguments. Because both of them has good solid characters. They are always there for each other, learn about their differences & understand each other’s differences more & more. Most fights start over small misunderstandings. As you pointed out, the tone of what you say can start things. You can learn to say how you really feel. For example: Instead of "Leave me alone," you can explain, "I'm tired and I need a minute." I think it demonstrates how stressful it must have been for them - Somethings gotta give. In one of these interview videos, Taehyung told Jimin had stressed he was trying to do Hwarang and work in BTS. That was probably after their fight.
Everyone wants a loving and caring friend like Jimin. I really hope at one point I may find my Jimin in my life. Becoz we all know when it comes to friendship Jimin is the most caring and loving. And vmin are not just friends they r soulmates. They understand each other. And I think fight can bring friends closer but it depends on how u solve it. Just by forgetting it will leave grudges but talking and solving and saying sorry or thank u makes so much more difference.
I’d say they fought/argued for four hours on the day of the incident. Then didn’t speak to each other for two days, and it took two weeks for them to reconnect and talk everything out. 🤔
@@charlenem220 I think of that too. Base of their stories they had an argument for hours that day, didn't talk with each other for two days and had a cold war that took two weeks before they reconciled again.
Oh, if you watch the 2020 Festa Interview with the two of them, they discuss the dumpling incident together, and in greater detail. I don't think they got to blows over it, but they did say they stopped speaking for 2 weeks. When they finally resolved it, they met at the park, Jimin was drunk, and Tae did, in fact, make a video recording of it for posterity (which he has NOT made public). It also inspired both the song Friends and V's 4 o'Clock, so something good did come of it.
Thank you for reacting to this!!! In their Festa subunit interview from this year, they talk about the incident together too! I really adore Jimin & V's bond! :(
Arguing does, in fact, bring two people closer together. But, conversely, it does not create a bond where there is none. When you argue with someone you care about, it forces the two of you to communicate your problems with one another, bringing all the hurtful stuff to light, all at once, and if you care enough about each other, it forces you to resolve those issues. Once you've had that talk, you have a deeper understanding of what makes the other click, what pushes each other's buttons, and, IF YOU CARE FOR ONE ANOTHER, you actively attempt to correct or curb the behavior, at least around them, so as not to upset them. But again, it's entirely dependent on if you truly care enough to do so. It doesn't just manufacture that kind of relationship.
100,000 count down 👍keep it up. When people argue they can get closer, but both parties have to be open and honest. Especially respect one another and being a good listener.
I think that if you never argued with the person you were never close. Arguing helps you understand each other on a deeper level and it shows how comfortable you are around each other, the people I am closest to are the people I argue with the most. And of course arguing is different from a full blown fight, a lot of small arguments can make you closer, but there is a limit to everything.
Yea you should listen to their Fiesta sub unit talk on how they overcome the argument of dumpling incident and lead to the birth of the song 4'oclock by V. In conclusion this dumpling incident become the inspiration of two songs Friends by Jimin and 4 o'clock by V.
Arguments brings you closer to the truth about someones personality and point of views about life. So it either makes you decide to break the friendship/relationship or it brings you closer because there is mutual understanding now.
I feel like jimin at first was so strict with practice and doing good all the time, then jin and v make him realize that life is more fun if you are less strict
Yes to a point if they know how to sit down n talk about their differences n accept their feelings about each other n forgiving each other honestly and value their trust n friendship. Overall they are still close to this day despite everything. V is a free spirit n a loving soul n very open minded. Their communications helped them overcome all odds..
i have watch the festa 2020 video when V & jimin talked about the dumpling incident - they got drunk at the park and V for some reason compose a song ..... love them both
We have to remember at the time they were teenagers learning to deal with life on their own And it’s not a life we know, it’s a busy life learning songs & routines on top of everything else they were doing. It’s a lot to deal with when it’s young people raising them selves, learning to deal with each other, and talk things out. If you’re old enough or a parent you’ll understand. Trying to get a teenager to express his feelings & thoughts especially when angry. Lol you’ll get it. So all things considered, I think they learned another hard lesson on becoming an adult. And they did it on their own. I’m proud of them!!
The saying is true at least we heard a lot here in India. Its same like how when someone feels frustrated or angry they show/share it with your loved ones. Since its means they'll understand you the most and how you knew they'll understand you. And fighting is not bad if its not toxic. It brings people closer. You will come to know what they like and what they don't etc. At the same time it shows how you both don't run away from problems and let that stretch a distance between yourself
There is a saying like that but it's more like when we present different points of views and then we talk through it and explore why we say what we do. It's not just arguing, it's about trying to understand each other better, to feel out the other person.
Yes arguing can bring people closer. It depends on the relationship types and depth of emotional connection.it forces you to talk about the issue and the underline issue. The dumplings represent something else for it to get that big.
Arguing makes people closer is actually a saying in Korea and the context is that you wouldn't bother having an argument at all if you didn't care enough about eachother, kind of like between husband and wife, or best friends. Going through all the emotional ups and downs with eachother makes the bond only stronger.
I agree with Jimin. "argue can make you closer". But just if the each of you can step a little back, and try to understand other's perspective. Sometimes, even you think you're right, and other's are wrong, you have to say 'sorry' first. The magical words that I believe can make people closer are "I'm sorry, thank you, help me please". Because that words are simple but hard to say. And about the dumpling incident : I think because at that time they were very young, and thought each other's problems were the most important, feeling sensitive about each other's situations. dumpling is just a trigger for the fight. like if you are already at the peak of emotion, then something is waiting for you to get angry, and boom ... that anger explodes
It's like this the people who are close only have expectations with the other person & when that doesn't happen the way they expected they question it talk then argue sometimes fight .... i think that's what JIMIN meant ..... then when try to talk it out later, you communicate with other & gets a better understanding about the other person .... so you get more & more closer .... now they all are really close with each other & don't argue anymore they just know what the other person meant or tried to say .... so they get along pretty good & they are stronger together
they explain the dumpling incident together with more context in their festa subunit interview for their song "friends." highly recommend you watch that too :)
Maybe its a cultural thing but what jimin said is a korean adage. And i think what he meant is not just arguing but having those awkward or aggressive moments with others is what makes the relationship stronger. Looking at his feelings expressed toward V in many scenes we ve watched, we can kinda get what he is saying here
I think what Jimin meant when he said "arguing makes people closer" is sometimes when you're being so raw and honest in those moments and then genuinely make up, you're closer with that person than you were before the fight. With some relationships, I think fighting can be a key point because not everyone is good at sharing their feelings until pushed to an extreme or sometimes you're just so different from the other person that you don't always understand why they do something or acts someway until you argue about it. Then, as time passes and you've had more fights, you begin to understand the actions and intentions of each other without fighting until eventually, you stop entirely. One look at the person and you can tell how they're feeling or what they're thinking. I believe it was that way for Taehyung and Jimin. I think for this to happen, though, it takes genuine love and the desire to actually understand each other and not want to hurt the other.
They were babies back then. Stupid fights would have happened with the amount of stress they are under. They don't fight now because they have grown into mature young men. I love their honesty.
"fighting over jumbo dumplings"😁😅 may sound so absurd but for me that incident was a blessing in disguise☺️ because a lot of lessons learned from that experiemce. They learned to listen, communicate, understand and eventually they came to realized how petty it was and they accepted their misgivings, they learned to say sorry to each other. One of the most important thing is that they communicate regularly with an open mind and heart.💜their friendship is priceless😍
For me, yes, it brings people closer. As they argue, it brings out their true feelings and atittude. Couple learns to accept or reject these feelings. Then, they compromise and settle. 😁
Me and my bestie have been friends for 10 years now and we are both in colledge now. We both have fought a lot and it only made us closer than ever. Because of our fights, we solved all our misunderstangings. We accepted each others shortcomings through our fights. Also She is a BTS fan too and her bias is Jimin and mine is Tae. We dont hesitate to fight, curse and confront each other. All those only strengthened our bond and we are literally soulmates now💜
Yeah, I think arguing can make people closer. It just depends on how they handle it. It almost forces you to communicate and naturally brings you closer when you talk to someone on a serious level. Especially in their positions. If they don't talk it out it can wreak havoc on the group as a whole.
Yes i agree. Argument makes your relationship closer. I used to follow whatever my mother in law says out of respect but deep in my heart, i’m not happy. So, one day, i open up to her and we have an argument for the first time and it went on and on. Next time i know, our relationship is getting better and we kind of work things out ever since. We communicate a lot and understand each other until now. Yes, argument is good.
Arguing only makes you closer to someone if you BOTH are committed to the relationship in the first place bcos u both are invested in trying to understand each other and make sure u don't continue to hurt each other cos u both feel miserable when it happens.
my best friend and i have been friends for 12 years now so we've grown up together, much like jimin and tae. when we were in high school age we would argue so much because we're very different people and had different opinions and views but through time we matured, and really, we have a lot of similarities too. idk if arguing made us closer but it's definitely something we look back at now and laugh at. i think if you can argue as much as we did and still remain friends after then it's a real testament to your bond and resilience.
It's true tho what you said. Sometimes arguments heat up not because of something you said but HOW you said it. And when you're young and immature you only tend to focus on how you feel and being selfish. For me having these kinds of arguments is what keeps a relationship strong cause then you get to know why, how and what each other doesnt like and what makes them mad. It also depends on how you settle it down and not let pride take over. Bottomline is, when you argue may it be with a friend or your family, talk it out and try to understand each other.
Because, After arguing between good friends or relationship, they have chance to think each other more deeply, and have chance to understand each other. So sometimes arguing, thinking and communicating make relationship different. In Korean words, there is "People get closer with arguing."^^
Jimin did say that one of his flaws was speaking too bluntly that it hurts other people who hears it so he's been trying to be more conscious about what comes out of his mouth. I think it's great when you are not embarassed to accept & talk about your flaws since it is the beginning of a change to be a better version of you.
When I first heard Vmin fought over dumplings I just remembered my "fight" argument with my friend over food as well so I honestly could relate. I thought I was the only one along with my friend that had such an embarrassing and stupid argument over food but I'm glad that World Class Vmin had the same issue/problem as me and so it makes my embarrassing story much more funnier. It might be trivial but like jimin and V said at the time emotions and hunger gets the best of you haha😂 and I do agree that arguing does make people grow closer but it has to be constructive arguments where you vent out your side of the issue and you have to be open to resolve the matter. Like vmin they were both hurt over the dumpling issue at the time because they were close friends/best friends and that's the only reason why it was such a big deal for them but in the end despite them being stubborn they knew they still wanted to talk things out cause they still cared for one another so arguing over something small could lead to a deeper talk of other things and just resolving other issues which just grows bond stronger.
Yes I kind of think that arguing can make people become closer. Normally when you argue with someone you have some sort of disagreement with that person that you dont or dont want to understand. To really overcome that arguement you need to talk it out and actually learn to understand that person better. The same goes to the other person, so yes arguements that are talked out does make you closer because you kind of learn to understand that person a bit better.
Vmin relationship is the most innocent, purest, and cutest relationship I ever witnessed 🥺 I always teared up whenever I listen to Friends because they’re too cute I can’t 😭😭😭😭 You’ll see in bon voyage season 3 and 4 how their relationship deepened. Thank you for taking your time to search and watch these dumplings incident videos 😊💜💜
Definitely brings people closer... arguments or discussions give the platform to voice your stand. If both parties look for a solution they work out at at least an understanding for each other. This is a saying in many Asian languages, by the way. 😃
Yeah check out their Festa2020 Unit interviews, where Jimin & Tae talk about it together - also we learn that V's (& RM's) song "4 o'clock" is about the fight on Tae's perspective! Listen to that song if you haven't already! And check out the other Festa2020 Unit interviews too, RM & Suga talk about their song "Respect" while Jin, Jungkook & J-Hope talk about their song "Jamais Vu"
Arguing makes people closer? If you're a true friend and genuine to your feelings it will works, but it must be a mutual feelings cause if not that saying will not work. So I think jimin and v is really good friend they both genuine they treasure each other so much.
Another thing about this thing is that they were barely adults then, they were around 19-20 y/o I think. And under a lot of pressure. The members even said then that they were all easily riled up at the time, maybe the stress of the years piling up + their increasing popularity + their own personal turmoils and a lot of other factors that made it faster for them to lose their cool. And even though the fights may seem to start from little things, it's just a thing that happens in our youths even to adults, but it's really good how they talked it out and made it into a learning moment about each other. They all seem to have a good handle on their emotions and maturity. Even before this time, I also think that their management did a good job of teaching them how to properly communicate with one another. There was an interview with Bang PD where he talked about how during their early days whenever the members argue, even on little things or even if only a couple of them fought, they would all come to him together, and tell him what happened and how they fixed it as a group. It's very inspiring I think, a good example for parents with multiple children on how to teach good communication, relation, and resolving conflict in a simple and experiential way. Because conflict is good sometimes as it helps us grow as people, but learning how to resolve it takes a lot of experience and time that some people just don't learn until they've pushed everyone away.
i tend to end up with more arguments with people i really love and respect cos that means i'm open to speak my mind to them and even expose my raw emotions. i'm normally diplomatic with people in general but i'm the type who when i end up arguing with someone, i end up in a deeper relationship with the other person if both parties calmed down and talked sincerely and openly. so i think it has a great potential to strengthen a bond since the issues are out in the open. now the next step is how to resolve those conflicts - this will make or break the relationship.
Yes. I think arguing does make people closer, only if both agree to discuss it further after the tantrums gone. And as my husband and I got closer together after some arguments (and resolutions), I think I get to know him more. Now we're making less arguments and a lot better communication skills than before.
This thing; misunderstanding, fights with small things or stupid things happens to all of us when we are growing up... sometimes people sorts it out good sometimes cuase them to separate ways... I thinks it just a part of growing up... where you learn to be patience, kind with words, saying sorry and forgiving....
I think in a way arguments do help people see the other party's viewpoint but it is the refusal to accept that point of view that creates the argument. I think to me what makes "arguments make people closer" is the reconciliation AFTER the argument that makes people closer as then it comes to the point where they either accepts and understand each other's sides or at the very least agree to disagree. So for me I think it's the after that really makes or break the relationship between the 2 parties.
Arguing definitely does bring people closer if they handle it the right way because when you argue with someone, you HAVE to make up after and talk about it, because of this you"ll get to understand each other better as well. But then instances happen where people just don't want to admit their wrongs and just never make up, which is sad. If you really care about the person/ love the person, you'd choose to talk and make up at the end of an argument, for sure that would bring people closer together. Cuz like you can never understand each other unless u have at least one argument in my opinion. When u talk and make up with someone, u understand what they hate and what they like, you understand what you did wrong and same goes for the other way around. As long as both parties completely forgive each other and as long as there aren't ant grudges being held I think arguing rly can help you understand someone more and get closer. It's quite difficult to get the result of getting closer to someone after arguing though, cuz many people are afraid of arguing or afraid that they'll lose someone that they just choose not to argue or tell the other person what's bothering them at all, in this case people don't get forgiven, grudges are held, and it just creates more conflict in the long-run.
You should react to Jimin's and V's unit interview for mots7, they explain it together in greater detail. Also we didn't only get "Friends" thanks to the dumpling incident, we also got "4 o'clock". Please react to in after you do the interview.
arguments can be sometimes a greater help to know a person deeply, but i think into some extent. because sometimes un healthy arguments can become toxic traits. best thing is to talk with being careful not to hurt each others feelings with words that might struck forever.
suga did say that it's not bad to fight as long as you talk it out afterwards with an open mind. I guess in a way fighting releases the emotion and frustration that you felt towards someone and when you talk it out, you understand thing with more depth and in the future you will be more sensitive with other people's feelings. For me though fighting with friends means so much more than not fighting at all because having confrontations means you're open to them, you're comfortable in showing your emotions, you're connected to them in a deeper level. So I think sometimes arguing with a friend makes you grow closer to them..as long as you talk it out with an open mind afterwards. :)

what is the truth

I’d say they fought/argued for four hours on the day of the incident. Then didn’t speak to each other for two days, and it took two weeks for them to reconnect and talk everything out. 🤔

V is so handsome god help
their friend ship is gold
Sometimes it makes people come closer if two of them wanna be in each other's life they find way to saught everything out
Wow I am so glad that I found out about the dumpling incident!! and I too feel closer to them as well!
Tae was filming and came back starving and he really wanted to eat
yes 1000% agree, relationships got stronger after a rift. you open up. more accepting and moving on.
This show that how much they love and sacrifice for each other 💜 that's why they can walk until now with a precious relationship 💜
They talked about it again on the FESTA UNITS
From dumpling incident, 4 O'clock & Friends were written! Say thanks to the dumplings!💜💜💜
Arguing makes people come closer together if you talk about it and work it out.
i have watch the festa 2020 video when V & jimin talked about the dumpling incident - they got drunk at the park and V for some reason compose a song ..... love them both
We have to remember at the time they were teenagers learning to deal with life on their own And it’s not a life we know, it’s a busy life learning songs & routines on top of everything else they were doing.
V filmed Jimin while he was drunk XD V mentions it in the Festa unit videos. You need to watch them lol, I had tears from laughing from it
The saying is true at least we heard a lot here in India.
Thanks to dumpling incident, we got a beautiful song out of it..🥰🎶🎶🎶
Two beautiful songs from this friendship relationship..😁🎶🎶🎶🎶
Yes arguing can bring people closer. It depends on the relationship types and depth of emotional connection.it forces you to talk about the issue and the underline issue. The dumplings represent something else for it to get that big.
I can picture Suga the one telling them to leave the practice room lol
Arguing makes people closer is actually a saying in Korea and the context is that you wouldn't bother having an argument at all if you didn't care enough about eachother, kind of like between husband and wife, or best friends. Going through all the emotional ups and downs with eachother makes the bond only stronger.
Thank you for that dumpling so we can heard 4'oclock and friends nowdays.
And about the dumpling incident :
I think because at that time they were very young, and thought each other's problems were the most important, feeling sensitive about each other's situations. dumpling is just a trigger for the fight. like if you are already at the peak of emotion, then something is waiting for you to get angry, and boom ... that anger explodes
It was sweet of V to extend the olive branch first and try to work through it. 💜
*you need to watch the festa subunit videos where they sit down together and talk about the incident in depth*
they explain the dumpling incident together with more context in their festa subunit interview for their song "friends." highly recommend you watch that too :)
They are so lovely💜💜
It is an actual study that best friends who fight become closer
Both of them are so adorable 😂
Arguing only makes you closer to someone if you BOTH are committed to the relationship in the first place bcos u both are invested in trying to understand each other and make sure u don't continue to hurt each other cos u both feel miserable when it happens.
This reaction channel is the only channel I watch everyday, A true ARMY reaction
my best friend and i have been friends for 12 years now so we've grown up together, much like jimin and tae. when we were in high school age we would argue so much because we're very different people and had different opinions and views but through time we matured, and really, we have a lot of similarities too. idk if arguing made us closer but it's definitely something we look back at now and laugh at. i think if you can argue as much as we did and still remain friends after then it's a real testament to your bond and resilience.
They opened this more in Festa subunit video "friends"
There's also the story of jimin and jungkook during a rainy day in their trainee perios...such a funny and heartwarming incident😅
Please react to their FESTA explanation too
Yes I kind of think that arguing can make people become closer.
And from this dumplings incident that made 2 songs,,, 4 o'clock from taehyung,, and friends from jimin
Good luck hitting 100k!!!
Do you know you are featured in a NEW video ???? "Jimin can steal your man" 💜💜💜💜🎈
Arguing definitely does bring people closer if they handle it the right way because when you argue with someone, you HAVE to make up after and talk about it, because of this you"ll get to understand each other better as well.
Please react to in after you do the interview.
arguments can be sometimes a greater help to know a person deeply, but i think into some extent. because sometimes un healthy arguments can become toxic traits. best thing is to talk with being careful not to hurt each others feelings with words that might struck forever.
i hope eact to their festa subunit jimin and v explain it 🤩
I can still hear James Corden saying “not my baby mochi my mochi doesn’t argue my mochi doesn’t argue about dumplings”😂
Carpool karaoke anyone
suga did say that it's not bad to fight as long as you talk it out afterwards with an open mind. :)
Me and my best friend fought over to where to sit in cafeteria 😂😂
THEIR FESTA UNIT TOO PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!! IT'S ON BANGTANTV!
arguing makes friends get closer if they dont give up on each other after the fight and dont end their friendship
