So quick and INSTANTLY appealing! Thanks for the oven-roasted alternative to frying.... So many "people" cringe these days at the word "fry"! I do not but appreciate the chance to be spared using up that much oil......(unless it can be filtered and used again...????!?!) Fish sauce and its flavour are truly favourite with the equivalents having been used even in pre-Roman times in Italy as well as Vietnam....!!!
Love this format annnd your video quality is great!! Would love to see some vegan recipes! I feel like I haven't had Vietnamese food in a long time since going vegan
Your wings look AMAZING, Helen. The shiny caramelization you got on it makes it extra delish. The noise on this video was way way WAY too loud, though. I think it could be turned down a lot, especially when you are talking. BTW, your video skills are on another level now. Great job!

This might be a stupid question; but can you taste the fish in the final sauce, or does the fish sauce just add depth/umami to the glaze? Does look really amazing!
Hi Helen, thanks fr the recipe tho I wonder is the measurement for salt and pepper correct? Reason being, it seems like you are using coarse pepper and salt but I am not sure. The measurement will be different if it`s in powder form. Please advise. Thanks
I made them yesterday. It was very very salty. Like salted fish kinda salty. Maybe due to the fermented fish sauce I used is from Thailand. It was tasty tho. Will try again the next time with adjustment to the fish sauce. Thank you for the recipe
I saw it at 99 Ranch for about $2 the other day. I only noticed because my sister-in-law accident gave hers away and now needs it. :) I'm guessing other Asian grocers will carry it as well.
HII HELEN! Can you please learn how to make "Com Say" the rice snack with cha bom and nuouc mam? i would love to learn how to make that. It tastes so goood!
These look really yummy (so does the extra rice). If I may suggest, perhaps turn down the action noise a little? Some of the sizzling came across unusually loud on my system. Thanks.

Helen those caramelized wings look so good but I've gotta put some chilis in there! 🌶️🌶️
Definitely, the spicy flavor will make this tastier 🤤
This might be a stupid question; but can you taste the fish in the final sauce, or does the fish sauce just add depth/umami to the glaze? Does look really amazing!
Daniel Boa The latter.
the fish sauce just add depth and umami flavor to any foods.
Daniel Boa When I made them, you couldn't really taste the fish sauce. I really enjoyed them!!
Wauuuu looks so good!
I'm just beginning my odyssey into Vietnamese food. This I will try.

I'm so hungry now 😅
Hey this recepie looks great!! but i'm on a diet, do you think I can skip the fry part and cook it in oven?
Erica yes you can. The star of this dish is the fish sauce
That's what she said in the video
Hi Helen, thanks fr the recipe tho I wonder is the measurement for salt and pepper correct? Reason being, it seems like you are using coarse pepper and salt but I am not sure. The measurement will be different if it`s in powder form. Please advise. Thanks
half a teaspoon each of salt and pepper should be enough
I made them yesterday. It was very very salty. Like salted fish kinda salty. Maybe due to the fermented fish sauce I used is from Thailand. It was tasty tho. Will try again the next time with adjustment to the fish sauce. Thank you for the recipe

#Helen's Recipes are good for Cooking and for your Mum and dad!
Helen. I just called my mother to tell her I've found "the one."
You are my inspiration
Yummy!!!
Does anyone know where to get that deepfrying rack?
k0754 it usually comes with the wok.... try an Asian market.
I saw it at 99 Ranch for about $2 the other day. I only noticed because my sister-in-law accident gave hers away and now needs it. :) I'm guessing other Asian grocers will carry it as well.
Sadly, I don't think we have 99 Ranch in Canada. Thanks for the heads up though, much appreciated.
Yummy
HII HELEN! Can you please learn how to make "Com Say" the rice snack with cha bom and nuouc mam? i would love to learn how to make that. It tastes so goood!
I had a video here ruclips.net/video/Wthn6-F9dUM/видео.html
If we leave it for a while to cool off will the chicken dry out and be caramelized? I don't wanna eat it while it's wet.
Looks delicious, Helen. Some sesame seeds on top of it would be nice ;)
These look really yummy (so does the extra rice). If I may suggest, perhaps turn down the action noise a little? Some of the sizzling came across unusually loud on my system. Thanks.
Does your cookbook have dishes like this video? To eat with rice?
yumo
do we need to add the hot sauce into the sauce? i dont like spicy food thats why 😕
Sarah Tran the hot sauce is optional so you can skip it.
How long does it take to cook?
👍👍😍😍
Nice title :)
where do u live ?
I know you're Vietnamese but can you make Thai boat noodle soup? It's really delicious and I hope you have tried it before bc I bet you'll like it !
Debating to myself whether the wings are worth a smelly living room lol
Would love you to go out and eat and do a collaboration with pho your eyes. Check out his channel.
I don't mind the fish sauce smell at all.
