I think you would really enjoy it if you enjoy these compact older cameras! XZ1 and LX5 are both really fun I bet. I want to pick up an LX5 to complement the xz2. Thank you so much for watching, glad you enjoyed!
No I am not, but I am interested in trying. I am not experienced with video but trying to learn more. I've heard it is harder to find a stable build for the m2 than the original M but I will see what I can do and maybe make a video in the future. Thanks for watching!
8:21 I own both. The XZ1 is considerably smaller and lighter. It feels like a toy camera compared to the XZ2 which feels a lot more premium. Also, the XZ1 does not have an articulating screen. And no touch screen. Olympus managed to have VERY consistent color profiles across their CCD and later CMOS cameras, so objectively, I do not think the XZ1 lives up to the CCD hype in the sense that you won't get the same output with the XZ2.
That is great information. I do love the articulating screen and the build quality is quite nice on the xz-2. The xz-1 has quite a fanbase but I do not hear as much about the xz-2. Great cameras!
@@wiseguygazette One unique feature of the XZ-1 is the OLED screen. I believe the XZ-2 has a LCD screen. I recently bought an XZ-1 primarily for it's CCD sensor, and it does not disappoint in terms of the reproduction of colours especially given the inbuilt profiles of Vivid, Natural, and Subdued plus Portrait. Also worth mentioning is the Monotone profile for B & W images.
@@terrym540 That is really cool, the OLED screen is a nice feature. XZ2 is definitely a regular LCD. Glad to hear the XZ1 is treating you well. These are really fun cameras to carry everywhere.
@@wiseguygazette I am really enjoying my time with the XZ-1. With regard to the Nikon 1 system, I have been a fan for several years. I have a J5 , and about three years ago was fortunate to buy a 18.5mm f1.8 prime lens which produces very sharp images. The combination is highly pocketable.
@@terrym540 I really like the J5! I only have the 10-30mm right now. It also is having issues with "Lens error". I have my eye on the 18.5mm, it seems like a great lens. Also interested in the 10mm f2.8 to keep it super compact.
M6 Ii is awesome! If I decide to jump into efm fully I would either get an m6 Ii or m200. This m2 has been so much fun. I'm in DC right now visiting and carrying it everywhere I go.
@@ryanleethomas That's true! I am a photographer and use the GX9 for when I occasionally do video. But the EOS M2 does have magic lantern capability so I may give that a shot.
I got an Olympus XZ-1 and a Lumix LX5. Now I gotta look into the XZ-2 and maybe even other models thanks to your great video. :)

Very informative. Thanks. Are you running magic lantern on the Canon EOS MII?

"Kicking" storm outside, viewed from your window.
Yes, the camera collection is interesting too.
Tornado season! The wind was really whipping haha
For EOS M, the M6 MkII is a steal. Nearly the same size as the M (slightly heavier) but the capabilities are vastly better. Check it out!

@@wiseguygazette But using the EOS M with Magic Lantern is where the real magic is.
I picked up an M6 Mark II a couple of months ago with a 32mm prime lens, and I absolutely love it. This thing is a beast!
@@brandonevans1043 great setup, I really want that 32mm. They're such fun cameras though. I love the straight out of camera jpegs
