Liked your video, I have a heavy wetter and he is so sensitive skin that I have to use fleece liners or he breaks out in no time! He’s two now and this is the easiest way for us!👍
How often do you change a diaper? I’m new to CD and seem to be changing my 3mo every hour to keep from leaking. Still perfecting the insert combo. I’m looking forward to following your suggestions.
Maria Carattini I like the Alva covers. Heres a short video I made about them: ruclips.net/video/EisfA2t5TaA/видео.html But since the video Ive used them a lot more and they are one of my favourite covers the Alvas. amazing price and they just work so well. I think they run a tad small though.
So I tucked a prefold into the flap and it got his shirt a bit at the top. The flap is waterproof so I’m confused because if pee got on it, it would repel and seep from the top which is I’m guessing what happened…
Yes. You just wipe it out with a wet wipe or cloth wipe and make sure it's dry again and no poop remains. But I'd only reuse a few times. Like 3 times before you wash it.
Actually, the bamboo only have a bamboo mix on the outside and on the inside it is microfiber. Cut one in half and see for yourself. Also, NEVER put microfiber directly against your baby's skin!!
Tam Cooper I used persil sometimes and othertimes i used a natural detergent but with natural detergents you have to use hot water for it to be fully clean. Many people also used tide
Is your son a super heavy wetter??? I just ordered all the supplies to start cloth diapering my almost 10-month-old, and now I'm wondering if I should have bought more inserts 😳
I don't think he was a super heavy wetter at all, but still felt like I needed just enough in there to be safe, lol! It's all trial and error with cloth diapering, so see how the ones you got work for your little one, and then top up if needed :D
I'm 22 weeks pregnant and I've been researching cloth diapers for a while... Your video was so helpful, thank you so much!
I am so glad! I hope you have a great cloth diaper journey :)
SOOO HELPFUL. First time mom, I was a little terrified of Covers! I didn't understand them! Tysm!

this was helpful. thanks!
J Hearts J No problem, thanks for watching :)
I did this for my candy doll because my baby will come this week but it really looks bulky and uncomfortable and it crumples so much inside
wil the PUL part of the cover tuch baby's skin n cause rashes?
Have you ever have your covers become less water resistant?? I’m not sure if mine are or I just need to add more inserts
Mine were ok. Have you checked to see if the layer of plastic inside is peeling off or not?
How do you wash them if you don't have but 6 of them?
Once these are soiled (pee/poo) can you re use the cover after changing the insert?
Yes. You just wipe it out with a wet wipe or cloth wipe and make sure it's dry again and no poop remains. But I'd only reuse a few times. Like 3 times before you wash it.

Super cute cover!!!
Thanks
What about the pul touching the baby skin?
The inserts bunch up around babys skin so its not touching
Pul will not hurt baby but always use an absorbing layer between the baby and the pul or waterproof layer
The fleece liners, is it any fleece or a certain type?
I believe it should say microfleece.
Where do you buy your covers?
RoseLaMort This particular cover I got from www.borrowedplanetclothdiapers.ca
Thank you :)
How big did you cut out the fleece liners?
I basically cut out enough so it would cover the flat area that was touching the skin
what is name of inserted materials ?
Thank you!!!
The double gusset is a nuisance! It causes marks on baby's skin..
Do you store them already folded?
Yes I do, its just easier for me that way :)
