      Greyscale wallpaper with bright red clock on mine, just like on my other phones, looks nice and easy to read the clock in different light conditions and brightness settings (:

    do not drain it to 0 when you store it, better to leave it at ~50% like manufacturer do it

    • @afrog2666
      @afrog2666 3 года назад +2

      I`ll reply to you since it seems my comments are being deleted:
      Do NOT drain the battery to 0%, ALL lithium batteries should be stored at 40-60% charge, that is called storage charge or nominal charge.
      A single lithium polymer cell will have a nominal charge, or "resting voltage" of 3.7 volts, because that`s where you have enough electrons in the cell to let it rest, lithium ion will have a resting voltage of 3.6V.
      Storing them at close to full or close to empty causes cumulative stress on the cells, just like charging and discharging does, and it WILL wear/damage your battery.
      Just like a ballon will get worn out when inflated over periods of time, so will the cell of a lithium battery, but with NO charge, it`s like covering tha ballon with glue, it stiffens and is no longer comfortable being fully "inflated", meaning you will permanently reduce the capacity of the cell.
      This goes for ALL Li-Ion and LiPo batteries.
      Basically, storing lithium batteries at full or empty is like having it constantly charge or recharge, it causes stress on the cell walls, destroying the battery within months, sometimes even weeks.
      Always store lithium batteries as close to half charge as you can, if you`re not using the device for weeks or months ;)
      A few days is fine, but just like with charging and discharging, it`s a cumulative effect, so a little here and a little there still counts, but fully charged or fully discharged can destroy a lithium cell fairly quickly. *when not in use*

      If you swith not only the UI, but also things like google, youtube, facebook et cetera, it definitely makes a difference, but it`s ultimately one of several things to do, and not a gamechanger.
      Brightness, CPU and radio (BT, WiFi, 4/5G) are the major battery drainers, and refresh rate of course, but no way I`m setting it to 60Hz to save maybe 3% during the day lol :p

      @afrog2666 3 года назад

      Yes, absolutely, you will get more cycles on your battery (longer lifespan) if you slowcharge more often.
      I know there`s intelligent charging and adaptive charging, but 1 or 2 amp chargers are perfectly fine to use.
      IMO you should only fast charge when you need to ;)

    • @afrog2666
      @afrog2666 3 года назад

      @@anncytwinkle5279 Faster charging or faster discharging wears the battery out quicker (fewer total cycles: filling and emptying the battery), even more modern batteries charged with chargers like the Nord 2 has, have this issue, and there`s absolutely nothing wrong with even a 500mA charger.
      (5Volts 2Amperes is the standard USB wallcharger we all know, and watts (power) are volts times amps, so 5V times 2Amps is 10W, the Nord 2 charger is 65Watts, it can adapt according to your use, and fast charging is better now than ever, but it still puts more stress on the batteries)
      The only issue you might experience with a slow charger, is that if you for instance stream videos with high brightness, is that you might not charge the battery, or charge very slowly, but that would have to be a very weak charger or bad cable.
      You can also charge it with a pc or some other device, no problems ;)

    • @afrog2666
      @afrog2666 3 года назад

      That being said, the battery should have at least a few hundred fast charge cycles, or 1000+ normal charge cycles, until you notice any difference in battery life.
      Hope this helps, feel free to ask about batteries if you have any questions ;)
