- Hey Pals, this video has been quite a long time in the making. I woke up one day and decided that I needed to make my viewers cry a little bit. So i spent a month and a half dedicating my free time to making this video.

So no one has mentioned this but I find it incredibly tragic that V2 in the end only wanted to see the ocean, and the wrath layer was so close.
He could have gone to see it if he’d been living, rather than surviving or trying to get payback for the 1-4 fight.
Oh, he might have went on livin', but he made one fatal slip - when he tried to match the GoPro with the coin punch on his hip.

Man the fact that Ultrakill's plot originally was just Blood is fuel and that allowed it to evolve into this and the Hell is alive ARG which gave us a glimpse into V1's true motives is beautiful.

@@Gizorpldorp well not really but, in 7-4 there’s an untitled book meant to seemingly represent V1 thought in which it describes creations such as the Earthmover as beautiful, and seems to enjoy poetic violence.

Love the idea that V2's personality was more devopled and refined. allowing him to detect and use sarcasm, and be similar to mirage but still with that sense of hard coded programming.
Makes sense too, v2 is the second model of the v series, wonder what v1’s personality is.

@@LastHamStanding1 well v1 is built for war so probably very direct and mostly understands orders not sarcasms, and just focuses on prime directive mostly of kill and refuel , while becase v2 is peace time it would need to interact with other humasn among other stuff
@@LastHamStanding1 Actually, from what I saw on 7-4 (a blank book that is supposed to represent V1's thoughts), V1 is more about poetic violence. He sees things like the EARTHMOVER and considers them beautiful, the whole purpose of war nearly makes him ponder, as if taking away his breath with just how deep the war has gone. He only finds it right that he is to kill one of the greatest creations of war.
In the end, V1 just needs another war.

This is tragic. V2 was so close to the ocean, only in the next layer. But what’s also makes me feel even worse, is that if the creators of v1 possibly fixed the fuse in v1, there could of been a chance v1 could process enough to not kill v2.
I like how one part of the fandom is literally V1 being goofy or cute, and the other part is this, pretty good video 10/10

I found the original play by googling the "THIS IS THE ONLY WAY IT SHOULD HAVE ENDED" quote from 7-1, it must have been some quote from V2 or the poems that had it cached, but I'm very glad it did. Fantastic comic, fantastic dub too. Wish there were more projects like this in the fandom, and it was pretty nice randomly finding such a labor of love web page in a google search, it's been a lot of years since that's been the case.

Although im usually invested in the fan made shenanigans of the ultrakill fandom, i was very skeptical of the quality of DECT, because i am not a fan fiction person, but recently i found Mothcpu's tumblr with a link to the text, i was also worried about my life at the moment because i was about to go through a medical procedure with a fairly high risk of permanent disability (it's all sorted out by now so nw) and the characterization of V2 and mirage struck with me in a way that any fan content, not even the official lore, ever did with me, many phrases and my personal research about the meaning behind some terminology (english is not my main language) got me fixated a few weeks prior the procedure.
I was skeptical about this dub because i've had plenty of bad experiences with videos of comics that do the same thing.
This video on the other side just heightens up everything right about DECT, having an even more inmersive depiction of the situation with the usage of music and the animated intermissions between chapters, thank you SpaceSeal for this, massive props for the mirage VA as well.
Sorry if the text was not as insightful as i think it is, my vocabulary is still limited, thank you nevertherless
P.S: i've been kinda obsessed with the EP music for the museum so the usage of Closing Time's intro as the sound of the clock for V2's death was the moment i knew this was gonna be good

At least that's what I'm getting from the ending.
Mirage fell in love for V2, and only realised this after V2 had died fully, and knowing that she'd never be able to confess her feelings, would survive, broken and filled with regret.

Mirage and V2 ship might happen if V1 dragged V2's chip and the gold dust back up to the surface, got spare parts for V2 and just went down to 5-S.
It'd be cool if machines could enter Mirage's reality.
The Fact that this has only 8.5K views is a sin.
Probably the most underrated piece of Ultrakill fan content out there.

and all I can say is wHY DOESN'T THIS HAVE MORE VIEWS????????? IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL, like, V2 never had anything resembling a personality (except those little cute gests he does at the beginning of the battles) but y'all managed to give him one, and so tragic as well ;-;

ok but now, i just realized that V1, V2, and possibly Mirage, were created by the same guy, now, who in the fuck was this guy? and why as never been important/mentioned in the game. I imagine that the guy that created the robots that literally DESTROIED MANKIND was going to be a little talked about or at least have some mention in lore or descriptions

@@nicolasrey1190something about the way the V models are described makes me think that they were designed by a project team in a company rather than a single person. In all honesty, their individual creators were probably smart, relatively normal, people-Good at their jobs, divorced from the reality of what the things they were making were capable of doing.
Also while V1 hand V2 are supreme machines, I doubt that they alone caused the destruction of mankind. As of now, I’m not sure if we even have a known cause of humanity’s demise.
Alternate ending what if mirage could've download v2 to there memory preserving them until new parts coule be found to make a new body. Not the same it at least enough to do stuff.

This is beautiful the writing was simply incredible from start to finish. I would hope to see this expanded but honestly I think that ending was perfect. Im not sure how an ULTRAKILL fan comic captured more emotions than most literature ive read in a 5th of the time but im all for it. I enjoyed this greatly

I was already emotional before I realized the familiar music was from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, which then made me more emotional. Incredible job on the dub, this one hit me like a truck.

This is so sad, but powerful. Imagine how amazing it would be if there was part 2, where someone fixes V2, but his memories with him. And he starts living for living and not surviving. Thank you for the voicing, it's amazing!
I had the idea that if v2 was born as a Machine but dies as a concept like Mirage said and that also she is a concept who is living here in the Nowhere Mirage and him could live together now here as concepts both idk. That would be a nice way to look at it once v2 is finished shutting off and he can completely disconnects from his Machine self in hell

This makes me wonder what V1 is like in comparison. V2 is a later more modern model made with more thought for interval with people but V1 was basically made for endless fighting… should they have any higher thoughts what would they be like?

i didnt want V2 to die, i wanted to fight him a 3rd time. His battles are fun and hard, i honestly think that 4-3 was harder than P-1 + it had better music, and V2 was basically my favorite character.

I love this fan comic, but the one flaw it has is that Mirage somehow goes from going to high school to college in the matter of hours. The events if act one and act two technically happen within hours of each other because in the epilogue thing after defeating gabe in his first fight, we find out he has 24 hours to fight the machine again, which in act 2 he does. unless when v1 first meets mirage theyre about to go to college, but then again mirage is prob not real lol
